Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame & Outback Heritage Centre

We absolutely loved our time at the Stockman's hall of fame. The live show was very well done with lots of humour, beautifully recited poetry, and a lot of great insights. The final part of the show was a touching tribute to the horses left behind after the war and the poor Stockmen who had to walk away without their mate. This was very moving and a part of history we were unaware of. Despite being school holidays, we had the cinema room virtually all to ourselves as everyone had gone to the earlier session. Again, this was very informative and shared interesting parts of history. The museum itself is extremely well laid out. Our 4 kids ranging from 6 - 15 years really enjoyed doing the treasure hunt through the museum. This kept them engaged for almost 2 hours, allowing us adults to explore at our own pace. The staff were very friendly and happy to have a chat about various things. You can tell they have a heart for their town and it's history, which is very special.

Loved the experience, digital technology was excellent to interact with. All the individual sound tracks just made you feel a real part of the stories told. Highly recommend and allow a few hours at least to take it all in.

Fabulous, brilliant. Moving cinema, amazing audio guidedmuseum, outstanding live show, in season. Fantastic selection of souvenirs and good Cafe. Allow 4 to 5 hours for complete package.

Amazing!! Small video at the start was great. Then you enter the centre and listern to so many different stories as you walk through. We were there for 4 hrs!! So much history and many interesting facts.

What a great experience, Well worth taking your time and enjoy the museum, The short film prior to the show was very informative , The show itself is brilliant Stu and Kelly do a great job with humour and the facts making for an interesting time , MUST SEE ,

Good insight into some of our Pioneers. This is a 'go your own' tour with an iPod and headphones provided. Starts with a 20min movie that provided good, relevant information. We also watched the live show that tells a story with bush poetry and whip cracking.

Went in October so no shows. Was great though because it wasn't crowded at all. Excellent self paced tours with an ipod and earphones. Made a nice balance of reading and listening.

I was most impressed by this museum and its interpretive displays The history of the cattle industry in Australia is displayed in a very well done museum The stories told on the self guided tours with small headsets are excellent I would recommend anyone to visit the exhibit
