Auténtico Hotel

Wacht out! This is nothing more than a party hostel for groups of children! Who make a lot of noice and run around your rooms! You pay 130euro for a hostel experience! The frontdesk dont do anything about it because it are guest to. But let them play in there room not in front of ouwer room! We booked this experience to go fly back in rest. Not in this environment. They need to shame thereself! Costa Rica is a great experience, but this place omg unbelievable.!!! Besides that the bathroom smels like a open sewer! :(.

Worst experience we’ve had. Group of people are partying and making terrible lot of noise till late in the night, without the hotel staff doing anything about it. We paid for a good hotel, but got a party hostel experience in return. The hotel staff was very rude to us when we complained. In the end, we had to start an argument with the group of people ourselves to let them stop. Apart from this, our room smelled like an open sewer. Update: Thanks for this standard reply that has been given to all negative reviews; as you should understand, this doesn’t solve a thing for us. We feel completely scammed by your so-called 4 star hotel.

Good hotel close to the city center, at walking distance. Very friendly personnel always ready to help. The restaurant serves great dishes, best breakfast we saw in Costa Rica. The rooms are clean and spacious. Nearby (one block away) is a supermarket, very convenient. Truly a place to come back to.

This was a fantastic hotel for a large group! The hotel allowed us to arrange room assignments for our own students as requested, dinner was easy to coordinate (with dietary restrictions always being taken seriously), and they put us all in the same hall so it was easy to keep track of our students. When requested, they gave us a meeting room. We did have an incident where one of the employees assumed that two of our students who were using large swim shirts were not wearing swimsuits and swimming in the pool with regular clothing. Though attempting to do their job diligently, they jumped to a conclusion without properly gathering information. Later on, this situation was addressed appropriately by hotel staff and they honored the swimwear choices of our students who did not feel comfortable wearing “traditional” swimwear in the pool. Overall, fantastic hotel experience!

Clean and modern rooms. Spacious beds that are comfortable. The WiFi did not work properly in our room for the duration of our stay, which was an inconvenience. The restaurant serves a good breakfast and dinner!. Parking is spacious and easy to find if you have a car.

Hotel has a very friendly staff, good food... Location is great...close to restaurants, sabana Park to exercise or going for a walk.. Not a fancy hotel...but well priced

At this hotel you will find basic, rustic rooms that are very clean. Don't expect bathroom amenities or kleenex. You will find clean percale sheets, comfy mattress, tv with CNN in English, poor lighting and 2 bottles of tap water. YOU CAN DRINK THE WATER IN COSTA RICA. Breakfast is decent buffet. Decent hotel with a lovely atrium garden. Restaurant is good enough - one REALLY doesn't want to go out at night in San José unless one is taking taxis. The rooms are a bit basic, but they have what it takes. Location is convenient and the staff super helpful and friendly, which is where the fourth star comes from. We were really early, room wasn't ready, but they stored our luggage in a safe place and ensured we could get in an hour later.
