Auto Mercado Headquarters, San José

This place is in the middle of down town crowded area. But as you enter, it's a different world of fancy. They offer fresh produce. Fresh fish and meat. And everything else on your mind from coffee to candy to food items to fresh juice and organic vegetables and fruits. I love how this page is different inside from the outside road. But hey you are in costa rica. Everything is possible. They are strict about social distancing, temperature and masks. They take card, cash and us dollars and their exchange rate is excellent. Love it

Well stocked store with much variety! Not sure about the other Auto Mercados, but this one has a deli cafe on the second floor. Access is from inside of the store. Offers nice sandwiches and drinks. Staff is very friendly. Provided a nice place to chill for a bit.

A supermarket chain in Costa Rica. If I had not found this place, I would not know that I need to boil pejiyabe before eating so this place saved my life a bit. The pejiyabes here are already boiled in salt water and even though they are not that expensive, they are much more expensive compared to pejiyabes sold in the market or cheaper store where the pejiyabes may not be boiled.

Beautiful supermarket. It has several items you just won’t fin anywhere else. Fruits and vegetables are very fresh and plenty. Great selection of snacks, sauces and drinks. They even sell sushi and traditional food like tamales.

I love this place. They earn my heart by doing a great service and also is really beautiful place to take a coffee.

This is a super market for expats and tourists wanting food from home. Clipper tea! Sushi. Good variety of costa rican made food and lots from abroad. Probably pricey compared to local shops. Nice shop.

It's a nice place to do your grocerys, you can find here a little bit of everything; it's a little expensive depends what you looking for, have a atm, Coffee shop and restrooms, here accepts dollars; AUTOMERCADO is a local supermarket.
