Lovely quirky place to explore Tangier from. Private pool and sun-bathing area great for chilling after a day of exploring, and excellent breakfast sets you up for the day. Only downside is it is a DRY hotel, but it’s only 90 seconds from Villa Mabrouk and the Morocco Club 😎

In love with this hotel, a hidden gem, like you are in museum, you feel the history. The cafe terrace overlooking garden and the sea so beautiful and so relaxing. The room is cozy, clean and comfortable. Special thanks to the manager and the staff were friendly attentive with small gestures of care that made us feel truly special.

Tanger is a vibrant and expansive city, and as a solo traveler focused on exploring the medina and taking a short side trip, I couldn’t have picked a better home base. The team at Aux 3 Portes made everything effortless—from offering local recommendations to helping arrange logistics. Their warm hospitality made me feel completely at ease from the moment I arrived. The property itself is truly special. Once a grand private residence, it has been thoughtfully transformed into a boutique hotel with just a handful of elegant, individually decorated rooms. The atmosphere is tranquil and refined, with multiple outdoor terraces and lush garden spaces that invite you to linger and relax. I had the pleasure of staying in two rooms during my visit—Zinnia and Iris—both of which featured private balconies and were beautifully appointed with unique details that reflect the charm of the home’s history. As a solo traveler, I felt genuinely welcomed and completely comfortable wherever I went—within the hotel and around the city. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at Aux 3 Portes. You were not only helpful and professional but also exceptionally kind. Your care and attention made my time in Tangier truly unforgettable.. I had the pleasure of experiencing two rooms: Zinnia and Iris. Both had private balconies and both are beautifully decorated.

ATTENTION! THEY ENTERED MY ROOM WHEN I WASN'T THERE AND INITIALLY DENIED IT. I had an unpleasant experience. They entered my room while I was out sightseeing, without notifying me. When I returned, I noticed the door had been opened. When I asked for an explanation, a staff member initially denied the incident. Only later did another employee admit to entering to fix a problem. I find it unacceptable that they didn't inform me immediately. Luckily, my wallet and valuables weren't in the room, but the fact that my privacy was violated in this way is very serious. For a cost of 150€ per night, I expected adequate service and security. On top of this, the room isn't worth the price: it's very noisy, and you can hear everything from outside.

We were really excited to try Aux 3 Portes in Tangier after seeing so many good reviews online about the brunch, the service, and the view. Unfortunately, our experience was nothing but disappointment. After walking for more than an hour in the heat and humidity to reach the restaurant, we were simply left outside because it was full. No apology, no explanation — just “we’re full” and the door literally closed in our faces. If the restaurant has such limited seating, they should really introduce a reservation system so people don’t waste their time and energy getting there for nothing. It only takes a phone call or online booking to make sure customers have a table waiting. We went from excitement to disappointment in 30 seconds. Very bad first impression and not the welcoming spirit people expect in Tangier.

Total disappointment. We waited in line just to be served food that was dirty and completely unappetizing. The service is terrible – rude, slow, and careless. The coffee and food are a waste of money, nothing close to what they pretend to offer. Yes, the view is nice, but that’s the only thing they rely on to attract people. Everything else is a scam. Never again.

The setting feels peaceful and inviting, making it perfect for a coffee, a meal, or just some quiet time. A hidden gem that’s definitely worth visiting if you’re looking for both comfort and a nice view.
