I had the most wonderful stay at Aux 3 I had the most wonderful stay at Aux 3 Portes and can’t recommend it highly enough. Tanger is a vibrant and expansive city, and as a solo traveler focused on exploring the medina and taking a short side trip, I couldn’t have picked a better home base. The team at Aux 3 Portes made everything effortless—from offering local recommendations to helping arrange logistics. Their warm hospitality made me feel completely at ease from the moment I arrived. The property itself is truly special. Once a grand private residence, it has been thoughtfully transformed into a boutique hotel with just a handful of elegant, individually decorated rooms. The atmosphere is tranquil and refined, with multiple outdoor terraces and lush garden spaces that invite you to linger and relax. I had the pleasure of staying in two rooms during my visit—Zinnia and Iris—both of which featured private balconies and were beautifully appointed with unique details that reflect the charm of the home’s history. As a solo traveler, I felt genuinely welcomed and completely comfortable wherever I went—within the hotel and around the city. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at Aux 3 Portes. You were not only helpful and professional but also exceptionally kind. Your care and attention made my time in Tangier truly unforgettable.. I had the pleasure of experiencing two rooms: Zinnia and Iris. Both had private balconies and both are beautifully decorated.

This is only a review of the cafe. We stopped in for some drinks. The view is great. The space is wonderful and surrounded by plants. The service was rather slow and the cappuccinos we got were okay. They do serve food. We didnt order any. Wonderful space to relax.

The atmosphere feels non‑inclusive. During a short café visit, the staff at the entrance made us feel unwelcome — my fiancé was dismissed with a hand gesture. When I expressed my discontent, the discussion became tense, and the door was shut abruptly behind us, leaving a cold and excluding impression. After emailing the management, the response felt more defensive than empathetic. It seems short‑visit guests are not valued. I will never visit due to the lack of professionalism.

The service was very disappointing. We had to wait upon arrival despite there being empty tables, and it was clear that tourists were given priority while Moroccans were treated with far less consideration. When we finally found a table, we were asked to leave so that other tourists could be seated instead This experience was frustrating and unfair I will definitely not be returning

A beautiful place, it gives cosy vibes but a very bad service, the staff is so rude and not friendly at all. We had to wait for like an half hour for the waiter to come but no one came and we even stood up and start looking for them and once it was time to leave the reception acted like we’re the ones didn’t want to order and didn’t even apologise at all

We stayed at the hotel for a few nights, the place is absolutely stunning and beautifully decorated in a maximalist style. The view from the terrace was spectacular. Everything about the place is just beautiful. However the personnel were fine but not attentive enough to the guests needs and sometimes hard to communicate with if you don’t speak french. They wake up late in the morning around 9 and if you needed someone they will act like you woke them up by force. The breakfast was ok. Coffee and hot chocolate were really bad and reflected poor quality which is not what you’d expect for the price paid. The building is poorly ventilated and has a musty smell in the common room, there’s an air purifier there next to our room that was extremely noisy and out of shape that it disturbed our sleep. Overall I think they should upgrade their kitchen and ventilation equipment, and give their personnel customer service training.

The guest house is decorated in such a way that I would have liked to have an extra day there just to fully look around and discover more about the house itself. It was a wonderful mix of old and new, modern and traditional with some truly beautiful pieces of furniture and art to be both used and enjoyed.|The staff were wonderful. Helpful and friendly yet professional. The gardens are a haven of peace and tranquility - well tended and a great relief from the hustle and bustle of the outside world with glorious views over to Spain.|The location is excellent. Next to the Kasbah, minutes from the Medina and with a range of restaurants available within easy walking distance.|There was no noise pollution as the house itself is sheltered and buffered by trees and walls and it was incredibly peaceful at night.|Breakfast was simple, yet delicious and lunch, taken in the garden, offered a lovely selection of local dishes and drinks - I haven't tasted such good lemonade since my childhood. The dining room was relaxing, quiet, and comfortable and the staff were unobtrusive, attentive, and friendly while serving.
