AUX ECURIES DE LA REINE

Stayed here for one night while passing through the area. Wouldn’t recommend. The room has a damp and mould problem which is evident in the bathroom and bedroom area (appeared to be hidden by wallpaper) , because of this we slept with all windows open to minimise health risk, nether the less the room was boiling hot, with no air con throughout. |The room was dirty, with cobwebs and insects throughout. |When checking in it was unclear where to go, eventually checking in through the pub?? |Would not recommend at all

Stayed here with friends over a weekend break. Lovely old property with lots of character. We had booked a whole house. It was very spacious and was fully equipped. We had too toddlers with us and they too felt at home. Although it was winter, cold was no problem. The breakfast is really nice. The area is wonderful for hiking, biking and other outdoors activities.||||Only drawback was the very soft mattress (basic IKEA equipment).

Beautifull clean rooms with nice bedding and bathrooms. Breakfast buffet is simple but of great quality. Staff is friendly and most of them speak english next to french. The standalone house allows for nice big groups to stay together. All in all great experience.

We had one night stay at this hotel. Amazing location, very polite service. The room was clean and spacious. Excellent breakfast with all you need. We decided to have dinner at their restaurant and never regretted - perfect. |The negative only thing for me was the mattress - too soft. We both woke up with back pain.

We stayed here whilst attending a Motorsport event at nearby Spa Francorchamps. The room we had was an excellent size consisting of an open plan sitting room, kitchen diner plus wc, shower room and double bedroom ....plus a beautiful furnished terrace. The kitchen was well equipped, bedding was good quality and very clean. The restaurant has a well deserved excellent reputation in the area, very good food at reasonable (for Belgium!) prices.||We were very pleased with this hotel and felt it offered superb value for money.

If you are looking for a typical Ardennes style hotel, then go to Ecuries de la Reine. I have stayed here several times and tried several rooms - including their big chalet with pool and garden - and I can only recommend this place to anyone who loves the Ardennes atmosphere, it's nature and most of all GOOD FOOD (at their restaurant Le Vert de Pommier!) and excellent service. A nice get-away for the weekend and there is so much to do in and around La Gleize. We have stayed there several times and will surely continue to do so. The management is on site and this is a big plus. Everything is superbly organised and all this in a great atmosphere. Lorenzo is taking well care of his team. :)

I picked this hotel recently at random as a group base for a hike. We found it far exceeded our expectations in every way: price, food, cleanliness, breakfast, location, staff. They accomodated our crazy group and allowed us to spread out maps, etc and occupy a table for hours. WHen my husband forgot his glasses, we called and they were waiting for us. A problem with hot water availability was fixed immediately. The breakfast was far above average and food in the restaurant was reasonable and well-prepared. I plan to use this hotel as our base in the future - wonderful!

the "No go!" review really makes me mad. We've stayed here several times. The restaurant is great, good food, nice and warm atmosphere and very friendly staff. Rooms are good, but modest. Breakfast is very good and served in a cosy room with fireplace. Last time we stayed here in winter and with the snow it was a very romantic weekend.
