I’ve been there yesterday ordered beef tartar and butcher’s beef streak. enjoyed than I expected but a medium rare streak was little chewy to me. However the staffs were nice to me. I was impressed by this restaurant. Would you want to come again? Yes I would.

Google
Good French restaurant with reasonable prices. Personally, I prefer the Sunday's lunch service where there was old French songs playing; it was a bit noisy for dinner on Tuesday's night. The staffs were always friendly and I enjoyed their plates. Overall I think I will return there again.

Google
Delicious food for around 15 euro per main course. 5 euro happy hour drinks. 7 euro cocktails. The fish and chips and shrimp salad were great. Strawberry mousse cake for dessert was so good!

Google
Great food with reasonable price, 1st plate 15€ and 2nd was 16 €

Had a good bottle of wine, a wonderful boeuf tartare and a crème brûlée at a fair price. Good service and view of Rue Montorguiel

Visited in 2012 and had the steak frites of a lifetime, returned this week and was very disappointed. They have clearly changed ownership. It’s good for happy hour, but not for dinner. The steak was served cold, and returned to me after a minute or two in the microwave. The frites were soggy, and the sauce was all pepper heat but no flavor. Service was friendly and responsive, but this is no longer the classic it was.

Google
Disappointing meal! Initially I thought this place was great because it was busy, happy hour lasts until 11pm and the waitress was super charismatic. Once we had sat down and ordered food she did not give a care in the world about what happened next. Her main interest was to pawn you in, getting you to order and taking your money. She spent more time on a cigarette break than looking after customers. If the food had been good it would be ok-ish but this was not the case. The food was a let down and very poorly cooked. We ordered a steak which costs 55€ for 2. You would expect the cut and cook to be good. It was not. Some parts were practically raw and others were beyond well done. The cut was awful, it was super fatty and full of fascia- hardly any meat to eat. We sent it back to the kitchen to have it cooked again. The waitress did not question it and brought it back no questions asked. When we finished and paid, which took forever because no staff was to be found, she finally asked how our meal was. I told her it was not nice and that the meat was a big let down. Rather than taking criticism and apologising, she rebutted that their meat is one of the best around. I wouldn't bother coming here for the meat. Money grabbing business unfortunately.

Google
Super friendly service, good drink selection and tasty dishes. I really enjoyed the confit de canard, as did my Son with his lamb shank but the veggie burgers were a little difficult to eat as the patties crumble on contact but still tasty

Yelp
We went here after doing a number of Google searches for "best steak frites" and saw the reviews. The clincher was after we found out that this place was highly recommended by chef/author David Lebovitz. Les Halles has gotten much livelier since we had last been to Paris in the mid-1990s. Many interesting restaurants and shops to visit! We made our reservation through "The Fork" (a French website) and got 20% off our a la carte orders. We sat inside because it was a non-smoking area and smoke bothers our kids. Most of the other patrons sat outside which was pretty full. The inside had a fan and mild air conditioning. My wife and daughter were not very hungry and shared a seafood salad. My son and I shared the rib steak (bone-in) for two which was 60 euros (less the 20% discount) and which was delicious! My wife and I also had drinks since happy hour was until 8:00pm. I should add that our waitress was extremely helpful and that the restaurant had an English menu. Overall it was a very satisfying meal and I can see why David Lebovitz recommend this restaurant to people. We do as well.

Yelp
I'm a tourist and I'm unfamiliar with the local restaurants. Therefore, I rely on reviews. I strongly believe these reviews were bought. The duck was the worst I've ever had- dry, smelly old duck. I wanted to gag. Fish and chips had peculiar taste and we weren't sure if it was some odd unknown to us fish or it was just old smelly fish.

Yelp
This is a great place for dinner. They're famous for having the best steak frites (served with Bordelaise sauce and bone marrow). It's pretty damn good. I'd also recommend the honey duck confit with potato au gratin. It's a nicely cooked piece of meat and the finest part of the duck. The price is solid for Paris and the area. I had a great meal and despite some standoffish service, the staff is helpful and prompt.

Yelp
My husband and I came upon this place on our first evening in Paris...it seemed to be a rather lively, popular spot so decided to try it out. There was outside seating but it had just started raining, so we were happy to sit inside. It's a very cozy atmosphere and our server, Franny, was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the three dip appetizer and my husband had the duck confit and I had the fish of the day with vegetables. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and experience here. The fried potatoes served with the duck were delicious and I loved the perfectly seasoned fresh mixed vegetables and fish as well.

Yelp
Went here over the summer since my family and I were staying at a friend's place which was just above the restaurant! Super tasty food-- and the service is very very good. Staff will converse in French and English, so you'll be in good hands, regardless of whether your French is impeccable or terrible. I ordered the Tartare de bouef a la chimichurri-- came with a good helping of frites (reg & sweet potato) and a small salad. Tartare was seasoned perfectly, frites were crispy but not dry and crunchy, and the salad was not overdressed. Everything from the tartare to the salad was perfect. I plan to return once I come back to Paris. If you're considering eating here, please do! Absolutely wonderful

Yelp
Super delicious steak and frites, and very kind and thoughtful waiter, who switched for English for complicated portions but stuck with French for stuff I replied in French to. Delicious wine. 35 eu for 2 wine glasses and steak frites - seems really fair.

Yelp
Probably my Best meal here in Paris. Recommended by Bon Appetit/Concierge.com Roasted Bone Marrow: So decadent...and CHEAP for the huge serving. It was rich, done perfectly and buttery...yum. We couldn't finish it...and wish we brought 10 other friends with us. Duck Confit: a HUGE HUGE HUGE serving. The duck was done perfectly and fell right off the bone when i cut into it with my fork. Very flavorful Prices were very reasonable, esp for this area. Highly recommend if you're in the area

Yelp
Our new favorite dinner place in Paris (at least around the 1e/2e/3e area). On holiday we rarely eat in the same place twice in a row, but here we are. Bone marrow starter was worth coming back for on its own. Mains were all great. And service is super friendly.

Yelp
David Leibovitz says they have the best steak frites in Paris. Not sure it's that good, but we were happy to devour our plates. Service was great. I was treated to a huge cheese plate, when what I wanted was just a taste each of their 5 offerings. It started raining as we were leaving and both the server and the owner helped to hail a taxi at the end of the pedestrian street and then escorted us to it under an umbrella.

Yelp
Had the entrecôte with fries and marrow bone with a glass of Beaujolais Nouveau last month. Honest food at affordable and fair prices in a no frills vintage bistro. Fries are exceptional. The steak delicious. The marrow bone and Bordelaise sauce, welcomed flourishes to an already generous and satisfying plate. I will be coming back here for my Parisian steak frites hit each trip! They take their wine seriously here and hold a well respected Beaujolais Nouveau opening day celebration here the 3rd Thursday each November. This is a gem of a French bistro in an area that tends toward fast food. Sit in the back area in winter, terrace in summer.

Yelp
Food was ok, the steak for two are ok... nothing stands out from the menu as far as the taste goes... service was great!

Yelp
Best French restaurant in Paris! Rafael was the best. He saved us by translating into English the plate of the day and other parts of the menu. The food, every fresh piece of it was delicious. I can't recommend it enough. Don't miss this place it is amazing. If you don't like the dish of the day try the beef and fries. You can't go wrong. I didn't love the first wine, but Rafael noticed and sent a different one that was perfect. The desserts were also refereshingly good. Put this one in your list!!

Yelp
This is our last night in Paris, so we decided to enjoy some steak and frites on one of the best streets to people watch. We didn't have a phone to make reservations with, so we decided to just chance it even though it was a Friday night. We were excited seeing the pictures of the marrow and steak. The restaurant is located on the less busy end of the street, which was better for us. At 8pm there were still a lot of tables inside available, but reserved I think. We were able to get squeezed and the owners were very kind and welcoming. We both got the steak, frites and marrow combo for 19 euros. Definitely a good price for Paris. Unfortunately, everything lacked flavor and basic salt /pepper. My piece was so fatty, the knife couldn't cut through and it was like eating pure oil. Serving sizes were big, but I wouldn't say it was on the top of my steaks list.

Yelp
Nice small place. Too expensive especially for families with kids. $30 euros for a steak platter for one kid is way too much. They only had the Argentinean steak despite having other options on menu. Service was good; however, communication could use improvement. I ordered cod (I know they specialize in steak - don't eat red meat) took them 15 minutes to tell me they didn't have the cod. However a party of 8 who sat next to us 10 minutes after us and ordered after received cod and their food before us. We had our 10 yr olds with us. Saw a steak frites place around the corner for $18 euros per plate.

Yelp
Côté de bœuf (huge ribeye steak cooked to perfection and served with two accompanying sauces) et le vin rouge (beaujolais) made for a delicious meal to end our sojourn in Paris. As if the food alone was not reason enough to spend your evening here, the staff was warm, friendly and patient with letting us practice our French! Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a pleasant evening out in Paris.

Yelp
Great spot for a pleasant repose. For me lunch and I suspect for dinner too. With all the commotion on Montorgueil it's easy enough to walk past, but well worth stopping in. Two steak and frites lunches, wine and espresso on the terrace for €50. Recommended by Omid and he's a tough critic. I'll return here.

Jillian P.

Yelp
We both had the steak frites. The fries were out of this world good. The steak was also really good. Didn't care for the marrow, but that's just a personal dislike. We split a bottle of the house red and it was pretty good. We also had coffee and dessert (tiramisu) and that was delicious as well. We sat outside which provided great people watching on an adorable street. I recommend it!

Yelp
The best meal I had in Paris! Unreal steak frites with bread and a slather of roasted bone marrow. Unpretentious and fabulous.

Yelp
Like it every time I go. Great stop and fair prices.
