Atmosphere is super nice. Some people play music and sing. Food is very tasty and waiters are very nice and welcoming. Recommend it for sure for a typical and special french dinner.

Had a lovely salad and crème brûlée. The street side seating was very nice with a view of an old church. We enjoyed the singer. The service was fine. The people watching was great.

We came to the restaurant for a late dinner around 10 PM. The place operates as a piano bar, with a live pianist and a singer who moves around the restaurant and performs near the tables. While this concept might appeal to some, it may not suit everyone – especially when the singer approaches your table while you're in the middle of chewing your food. We ordered two burgers and a steak. Unfortunately, the food was rather disappointing. The burgers were dry, served in equally dry buns, and lacked flavor. The steak, although requested medium, arrived lukewarm and overcooked to well-done. Overall, while the atmosphere may appeal to fans of live music and performance dining, the food did not meet expectations. It’s a place that might work for the experience, but not necessarily for the meal itself.

A drink after the concert at the church opposite. Long island iced tea tasted a bit funny. Good view of Notre dame cathedral. Singer not the best & had to push past him to get to toilet.

Second time in this place, this time weekend and it was just wonderful. Ambiance, live singing and piano, delicious food and drinks, friendly staff. This is a place for people who love live singing and edgy panache atmosphere. We were lucky to have different performers and everyone is so talented. This place is for people with a soul 🥰 who appreciate warmth ams passion vibes. I always make reservations to guarantee immediate availability. Gets really busy after 9pm.

Loved the music; it was like a fun sing a long, even if you didn't know all the words to the French songs 😁 It was very joyful. We sat at the bar as it was a busy Friday night, but that gave us the opportunity to chat with the lovely bartender (Alexei?), who was friendly and accommodating. St Germain spritz and chips for the win!

Good music (I want to let the owner know this) but I’ve never had worse service in my life (33yo). 45minutes to get a drink. I walk up to bar and employees are chatting to each other, they acknowledge me and continue to chat. 1.5hours till I got my food and the only reason I got it this quickly is because I went up to the counter to get the menu and order. Food was good and musicians were great. Shoutout to musicians because they were genuinely great. Shout to the cooks as well. I have just never had this bad of service ever. They gave us a glass of Champaign for the wait AS WE LEFT (not sure if this was supposed to encourage us to stay or maybe not leave a shit review). Avoid coming hungry. Order drinks as soon as you get there and hopefully they don’t put you in the corner (next to stage) or you will NOT get service. I went here because a good friend recommended it.

Great place to enjoy your weekends! The band is really good, everyone is dancing, and the atmosphere is a perfect 5/5.

Yelp
We like Aux Trois Mailletz - but lets get some basics out of the way. 1) You are in the heart of the tourist district. Aux Trois Mailletz is in the Latin Quarter right across the river from Notre Dame. The only way to have more tourists around you is to go to the Eiffel Tower or to stand in front of the Mona Lisa. 2) French Urban planners have done the maximum to make this district look like the Paris tourists want Paris to be. Parisian urban planners have long been expert in impression management. See for example the Hotel de Ville which was intentionally built in a style 100 years older than when the building was constructed - so it would look "Traditional and Ancient" from the minute the building opened. * * * None of the above means Aux Trois Mailletz is bad. We drank here rather than ate here ... So I have no idea if the food is marvelous or terrible. A lot of Yelpers love the kitchen here. But I DO know two definite things. 1) The cafe is just opposite from Saint Julien le Pauvre. Saint Julien le Pauvre is an old and intimate church. It looks adorable. Significantly, it has some of the best acoustics you could ask for ... Which makes it a primo location for classical music concerts. If you are anywhere near Aux Trois Mailletz, Go across the street or get on your phone and see if they have concert tickets for your night. If they do, it will be well well worth it. 2) Aux Trois Mailletz is a piano bar above and beyond being a French cafe. The pianist puts a ton of classical music into the mix. Chopin figures heavily in his play list. Getting drunk on Armagnac, while listening to Chopin, and eating French snacks? What's not to like? * * * If you want to join the fashion police, You can comment on the 300,000 million tourists going by the cafe. Making witty comments about the passers by is one of the best games in town. Doing so while drunk is thirty times better. The street will give you unlimited amounts of first rate material for your finest jabs and snark. * * * So whether you a) eat, b) drink, c) listen to music in the cafe, d) listen to music in the church across the street, or e) show your moral superiority to everyone within one mile of where you are sitting ... A fine time can be had at Aux Trois Mailletz. Life is too short not to have fun.

Yelp
This is the old France / (European) bar I remember in my younger days. It has a wide variety of and cross section of society young and old ready to sing & dance & have fun! Up stairs is the piano & in the cave downstairs is live music! The food is also great! We had the potatoes & onions yum! Hot & expertly cooked!

Yelp
YES! All of the yesses! For me, Aux Trois Mailletz was the highlight of our trip to Paris. My fiancee and I came here for my 30th birthday celebration and had an absolute blast! The upstairs lounge is a piano bar, and on a Monday night, there was also an opera singer accompanying. It was bone shatteringly wonderful! After a few drinks in the piano bar, we were seated downstairs in the cozy, intimate, 14th century cabaret where we had a light dinner and started off with a bottle of rose. It was a slow start at 11pm, with just a sound check of sorts, and one other couple seated at the long narrow table in the center of the room. I ordered the artichoke appetizer and a salad, and it was tasty. But, as I have read in previous posts, this isn't "the spot" for gourmet fine-dining. It's a cabaret! But, to adjust any expectations, it is not the risque type of cabaret; rather it is live and interactive music. They really outdid themselves to celebrate my birthday as well. Five singers separately serenaded me with "Happy Birthday" in multiple languages. My fiancee and I were also asked to go onstage and dance. Aux Trois Mailletz definitely seems to be the (pun intended) underground spot for a fun time until the wee hours of the morning. The entire staff and singers were so lovely, and the owner of the establishment was also having a lot of fun embibing with everyone! Two thumbs up!

Yelp
So, we have mixed feelings on this place. We booked based on the reviews, but the reviews are misleading. This is not a cabaret show. It was more like a karaoke show. The band would start a song and a singer would get up from their chair and sing a song. When done, they would sit back down and be on their phone or stand in the back. The live band was good. The singers were all pretty good, but there was no "performance" per se. Just a 20 song list karaoke show. Cool basement setting.

Yelp
OMG!!!!!! OMG If I could I would move there and never leave... This was the best ! The highlight of our trip. The most awesome bar ! The music! I want to be teleported there right now !!! The ambience ! Amazing group of people, super talented musicians and singers.. everyone dancing around - when the night progress it's get more wild. Everyone dances on the tables - the energy that the performers had was off the roof. It was the best night ! And of course you are in XIV centuries underground cave. At 2 am the owner came over and chatted with us and offered us a drink - we stayed longer ! I really didn't wanna leave ...

Yelp
This place came highly recommended by a friend and we decided to give it a try. She told us that reservations are a must and that they don't speak english. Nah, when we called to make reservations, they spoke english. We made reservations for 4, 2 adults & 2 teens. We arrived early and sat outside and had a few drinks; great for people watching. When it was time for our reservations, we headed down to the basement. It was cold & dark in the basement and we were the first to arrive. (I figured out that most people come for just the show and not dinner). It feels like you are in a dungeon, eating by candlelight. They were still setting up for dinner (I guess we arrived too early). We ordered wine & my husband and I had the Cote de boeuf (its for 2). My food? It wasn't very good. It was so dark, I couldn't see it very well, either. Also, the bathroom is upstairs through the room with the piano playing. So why 4 stars? The show was FANTASTIC!!!! What a fun cabaret! They are so high energy and once it starts, it doesn't stop. They sing, dance, jump on tables, etc. My teens LOVED it. Almost all the songs were in french, but that did not bother my teens (neither of them know any french). The only reason I am giving 4 stars is the food. The entertainment is 5 stars. Also, the server kept our glasses flowing. When I say non-stop, I mean that none of the performers ever go on break. They continuously perform. I was amazed at their endurance. We didn't leave until 3am; however, I was the party pooper because the place was still going strong. Note: the metro stops running around 2am on Friday/Saturday nights, so it took us a while to hail a cab. Have drinks, go to the show and have a blast.

Yelp
Husband and I had a great time at Aux Trois Mailletz for my 60th birthday! We arrived at 10:30 pm and went down to the underground cabaret. Since we arrived early, we were able to get good seats to watch the show. Let me tell you that once the show begins, they don't stop! One awesome singer after another performs, singing in several different languages too. It was so much fun and entertaining. Just when we were about to leave around 2:00 a.m., the manager/owner came over and struck a conversation with us. When he heard that it was my birthday, he asked us to please wait a few minutes. He then took me on the stage, gave me a birthday cake, and each and every one of the fantastic singers began to serenade me with beautiful songs. I was overcome with tears! Here I am in Paris with these amazing singers serenading me! It was a beautiful evening and a fantastic way to start our first day in Paris. I would also like to add that our server, I believe she is from Morocco, was very sweet and did an excellent job of attending to everyone. This place is a must do when in Paris! You'll have a great time. Be sure to get there early though, because it does get packed. We were there on a Sunday night and it was full to capacity by midnight.

Yelp
Deserves six stars, the best place I found in all of Paris in my two weeks there. Truly the jewel of nightlife, with live chanteuse and piano player upstairs, and a wet/wild den of live bands downstairs. Seems a local favorite, always well attended, but not really by tourists much. Drink prices are high (like 15 Euros), but the food is more affordable, served until very late, and of excellent quality. Service is slow due to the large number of guests, but everyone is fairly friendly. This is pretty much the bar I always imagined going to in the US, but never found. Will never forget ATM!

Yelp
This was our adventurous pick for our trip to Paris. We arrived at 11:00, started to head downstairs (vs the piano bar upstairs)...one of the staff inquired that we knew about what the downstairs was, which we laughed and said yes and he sent us down. The downstairs had a really great space - a vaulted ceiling candle lit cavern that held about 50 people. Had we gotten there any later we would not have gotten a seat. At about 11:45 - a group of singers came out, and sang some really fun French cabaret songs. Then the show really started, 1-2 burlesque singers and dancers came out and danced down the center table. We stayed for a few hours because it was really fun. What would have made it better and maybe kept us there longer would be if there were more dancers. The service was a bit slow - had to chase her down to get another drink and to get the bill (I know, it's Paris).

Yelp
It was a very nice underground music stage, not a cabaret The singers were very good and people were having fun

Yelp
The best place on the left bank ! If you want the best entrecôte a l échalotes, Best steak au poivre , steak tartare , oysters , scallops rôties , every thing you are going to order is how it's should be : good! now you want cabaret? life Music with real artists ? Great service? And not feeling ripped of? Want have a celebration? Good downstairs! The best French evening you can have is at this place You can eat downstairs and have a memorable cabaret night... You can eat inside and listen to piano music with Some customers singing after few cocktails or listen to the jazzy feel or some artist dropping by.. You can eat outside and see Notre dame right in front of your table I have seen lots of famous French artist who love to come there " incognito " because this place is authentic! It's our cantina every time we are in Paris and it s not a tourist place! Ask for Hicham , the Maitre D he is the man!

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place. A friend of mine who lives in Paris, made a reservation for my 30th birthday at the cabarets. We went straight down stairs where there was a long table and you could sit along with other visitors. There were many group of artists who performed on the stage. The room was full of energy, excitement and joy. Artists had beautiful voices and they would sing international songs, and they were also very entertaining trying to engage people in singing and dancing. I can't wait to visit Paris again and visit this place for another memorable night.

Yelp
If you want to hang out late in Paris. This is the place. Amazing atmosphere with fun people for all night party. Lots of song and if you get lucky, some amazing surprise guests. Food is surprisingly great

Yelp
As per the reviews, we didn't get the food here and we had a fantastic time. It was one of the most fun nights I've had sitting at a table, the singers interacted with us. The prices were high, so pre drink and it's not too bad. We stayed until closing, around 7am. That's how good it was!
google avatar

Cory E.

Yelp
Terrible service. The waitress we had was incredibly rude. We sat for at least 5-10 minutes before we even were acknowledged, then she was annoyed that we didn't know what we wanted immediately. Later she disappeared for 10 minutes inside to talk on her phone and set tables, we had to walk inside to tell them we were ready to pay.

Yelp
Friendly staff and wonderful local food! Not to mention the awesome views to the Notre Dame Cathedral as a plus! We had a lovely time trying delicious traits and excellent wine! The owner came personally to greet us and recommend us their shrimp and artichoke appetizers that did not disappoint. He also gave us a tour of the beautiful venue that dates back to the 600s. Definitely a must visit if you're in Paris!

Yelp
Caveat: I did not eat here. Another Caveat: This is a seriously fun piano bar. Who cares what the food it like? The entertainment is top notch. A beautiful Asian chanteuse. She sang a wonderful range of songs. A solo violinist. Top notch. Great service. No pressure from them, but very attentive Fun, Not pretentious. Great place for a nightcap, or probably to bring a date. Awesome. I wish this were in Floria. I always go back and back to Aux Trois Mailletz...

Yelp
Authentic French Cabernet place in Paris that's among my favorite in the world. Incredible energy and atmosphere

Yelp
Downstairs is were the fun is. Excellent good clean fun in the cabaret downstairs. The best time we had on Paris. Signing, dancing and good food. And wine. It is a late night experience.

Yelp
If you're here for a drink, thats fine and lovely. If you're here for the show, i hope youve bought tickets. And I also hope you're ready for quite a bit of revelry! The ground level floor is a bar/restaurant with a piano, and sometimes a lovely bunch of folks who'll serenade you. Theyre also quite talented. Come in, and have a drink. You'll be entertained by the musicians if your date for the night is a little shy. There are two bathrooms located near the piano. And ta-da! They're clean! Yes, thats not something so easy to find in many busy bar-restaurants. The downstairs is where all the action is at. Before a show starts expect a line to zip all the way up the stairs, particularly if its the weekend. As mentioned before, try to get a ticket, as they run out fast. Good luck if you're trying to score any as a walk in! They do burlesque on certain nights, and other variety shows of fun and laughter on others. English is heavily used here, so don't fret should you be a french-handicapped person.
google avatar

Yelp
Forget upstairs! Downstairs is where this place really shines! Walk down to the cabaret cave! Show starts around 11:30 pm.... take a nap first... show runs til dawn! We stayed until around 1:00. Great songs, talented singers... then things get risqué! Let's just say watch how much wine you drink! I was up on stage... and on the floor!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is amazing. I'll be there every time I'm back in Paris! The top of the place is a restaurant and piano bar with good singers and musicians, the bottom is a cave-like cabaret. The food upstairs is not great - passable. Have a drink instead, then head downstairs around 11:30 or so for the REAL entertainment. This place supports a rotating cast of musicians and dancers, with a general format that allows for so many types of music - simply incredible. I heard French, Spanish, Russian, and English being sung at different times. The dancers are fun - they dance on the tables! Be sure to move your drink so they have room! Lasting into the morning hours, this place is rocking throughout the week. There is a significant cover charge to go downstairs, and they encourage drinking. I don't know the exact charge as I was not the one paying this time. Treat yourself - go in. Have some fun. Dance. A lot. With people from all over the world. Come home wishing you could do it all over again.

Yelp
My 30yr. old daughter recommended this place, as she had such a good time and thought her father and I would also on our first visit to Paris. We're in our early sixties and were skeptical as to if her version of "fun" would be the same as ours. We had dinner at a nearby restaurant and continued on to Aux Trois Mailletz downstairs cave at 10:30 pm. At first is was half empty and just one singer was on stage. We figured one drink and we'll leave. The place started filling up with colorful lively people and more and more entertainers entered the stage. As the drinks flowed and we made friends with our table mates, we found ourselves singing, laughing and dancing (on stage no less) and having a ball until 3:00 am. Absolutely great night for any age, especially those young at heart!

Yelp
Atrocious service. It took about 15 minutes for the wait staff to even acknowledge that my friend and I sat down. One group of French people was served well before us although we arrived before they did. I knocked over a glass of wine and they did not bother to pick up the glass, clean up or offer another glass. They did not seem to want to serve anyone who was not French. Very snooty and disrespectful. It is also very expensive (at least 11 Euro for the cheapest drink.) The only positives were the live opera inside, the people-watching and the view of the church. But it's not worth the money or putting up with the service for that.

Maksim K.

Yelp
This place has an awesome vibe. It is unique in the number, diversity and quality of performers, musicians and singers who are singing in multiple languages, dancing on tables and getting the party going till morning even on week days.
google avatar

Angel N.

Yelp
I did expect a traditional "cancan" cabaret and was disappointed. It was more like a live modern day rowdy show. It's cold down there so bring a jacket!
google avatar

Kristen S.

Yelp
They put on a mean cabaret show. I've been here twice since 2006. It's consistently good and entertaining!
google avatar

Kurt W.

Yelp
Probably the single most entertaining Cabaret show I have ever experienced. Went in with no expectations and was amazed and entertained for an entire evening. Food was good and reasonably priced as were the wines, but the whole reason for going is the high energy multifaceted multi-talented review. An easy evening to repeat in my estimation. Plan ahead because the festivities run past 3AM.
google avatar

Yelp
The basement cabaret was one of the highlights of our trip to Paris! Note: There is piano singing upstairs too, but a different feel thandownstairs. We went on Christmas eve (after the service at Notre Dame) and arrived just before midnight. We celebrated with a toast and then enjoyed the singing and dancing in the basement until 3:30am (although it went until 6am). It was a cast of about 15 people that rotated taking the lead on the stage, with others in the cast as their backup singers. It was a hoot having them dancing down the middle of the table and the whole crowd got into the fun, clapping and stamping along to the music. A must see! Super talented staff and much better than the lip-syncing from other cabarets.

Yelp
Ok this has become one of those places i try and visit a couple of times when in Paris. I pretty much always have the go to dish of Cotes de Boeuf wish is served with a side of the classique haricot greens. Simple yet perfectly good flavored beef a classic. What makes this a stand out is the atmosphere which never fails to make me smile. The center of this place has a piano bar where people play various types of music with a penchant for french classics from the 40-60's. The place is one of those neighborhood places where people get together to dine and enjoy life, two of the people you see alot are an asian and a german fellow, the asian is always smiling and very happily singing along with the music, and the german who looks a little grumpy and the type that will be one of those you would want backing you up in a bar fight. The claim to fame for me is that Nina Simone herself use to play in this place in the heyday of Paris. It is one of those places that most people might overlook, but as someone who has been many times and had wonderful evenings, singing the night away and feeling like a regular, I recommend. There is also a basement with dancing but I have yet to really partake as I prefer the relaxed atmosphere in the dining room.

Yelp
What a horrible experience! We were rudely "greeted" by a first waitress with a "Get out of the way!". When we asked when the show starts, the answer was: "11o' clock downstairs, now move" and were pushed to the side. We went downstairs were we were just as enthusiastically (notice the irony) greeted with the question "why don't you go upstairs, they have more there" although there was a full bar. Then the waitress started to make fun of our order: a beer and a fruit juice, no idea what was so funny about it. What took the cake was that when I tried to look for the bathroom, another waitress yelled at me: "Come back out there. You have no business there. There's nothing for you." At that point I picked up my bag and told my husband I wanted to leave. No idea why we received this rude treatment. I speak fluent French and have been visiting Paris many times, but have never seen anything like this before. I advise you spend your euros elsewhere.

Yelp
I found this place on some travel blog and it really did deliver. Though I would give the food a B, the service and entertainment was great. The owner walks around and gets to know everyone there. There's live piano music and a dancing/singing cabaret show in the basement late night. For the basement show don't show up before 11p. The group plays a wonderful variety of songs and dances on the table. After a few glasses of wine everyone else is dancing on the tables too. It's a great place to venture to solo or with a group- everyone becomes friends immediately. The performers are also top notch, with beautiful voices that should be on Broadway. They go till 5am- so if you're looking for a great Paris party this is it!
