Enjoyed our stay. Very clean and quiet. Receiving a thank you for staying there email was a nice touch. Will definitely stay there again.

I wasn't here long, one night, but the experience was quite good. I certainly wouldn't call this 5-Star accomodation, but it definitely did the job and was great for the price. Everybody was friendly, which can go a long way. The location is great with easy walking access to numerous restaurants and the main beach, and parking was available right by the room door. I happened to be in a room for persons using wheelchairs (and this seemed well set-up in that regard) and close to the office on the ground level. I appreciated the large washroom and shower. It's a bit weird to have the coffee maker in the washroom, but that was convenient for water access. As was needed, the air conditioning worked well. You probably won't want any place without air conditioning at Osoyoos in the summer months. By the way, you get good ol' metal keys instead of plastic, so no demagnetism issues, but I was a bit concerned about possibly misplacing one. I'd certainly stay here again.

The front desk gentleman, extremely friendly & accommodating I got there b4 check in my drive from Vancouver went quicker than I thought. He was so nice to let me check in early . The AC unit worked the best I've ever had in a hotel, large and clean room. Very very close to main street infact right outside the door. All in all it was a much better experience than I had thought it would be .. The front desk guy made the experience for me as that was the first experience and having a genuinely friendly person greet you wvne when u r 2 hours early made all the difference . I go to the Kootenay couple times a year and like to break up the drive , I will 100% use the avalon as my half way point again .

Great location, close to many restaurants and stores. ||Had a kitchenette and it had everything we needed. |Room was pretty clean- only issue was the mattress for the pullout bed. It was pretty stained so I slept on the couch. Not the greatest sleep but for one night it wasn’t a huge issue. |There are no elevators, so request a bottom floor room if you don’t want to do stairs.

Filthy, urine on toilet from previous guest, dead bugs and flies in window, sheets were filthy- purchased bedding for our stay, fridge was very dirty and could not use it, cupboard under sink was dirty, shower made horrible squeal noise, floors were dirty, food stuck to the curtain in the bedroom, under stove and fridge have not been cleaned for what appears to be years, dog came running into room and could not get him out, dirty band aid behind toilet on floor, garbage on floor between couch and wall, bad smell. I was struggling while carrying items up the stairs and two cleaning girls saw me struggling. Instead of offering help the watched, laughed and said things in their own language. ||||Fire started the day we arrived and it was a bit chaotic. I did not say anything as we were on evacuation notice. I paid less than what I should have and I owe money still. Today I was sadly let down by an allegation that my dog ruined the hotel sheets. My dog does not sleep on the bed so that’s impossible. The sheets were stained when we arrived. We brought the dog bed with us. ||||Overall very bad experiences as opposed to last year. I have complained to BC health and considering descrimination as I received an email today advising that the pet fee was reduced for a service dog. I will pay the pet fee and replace a blanket that was allegedly thrown in the garbage. ||||The bugs were not the nettled that Darren mentioned, these were flies. The town if Isoyoos is infested with beetles. Look at the trees and you will see the destruction and the beetle. ||||This hotel is in the perfect location and suited my needs. I’m sad that I will not be returning. ||||I believe in supporting local but this experience has changed that thought

Very nice motel, convenient location, reasonable prices. Rooms are little outdated but still ok. Staff was very nice and polite.

The room (104) had lots of space and was very comfortable. The room was clean and had all the amenities that you'd expect. We arrived at just after 10pm on Friday and received prompt service right away - we were settled into our room within minutes. Excellent location in terms of morning/breakfast routine - there's a Tim Hortons across the street and Smittys right beside the hotel.

Yelp
Hello, new member of Yelp! Hello, great place to stay in Osoyoos! I looked at a few options, mostly local, and Avalon spoke to me with its good reviews and decent price (under $100 once converted to USD). Sure enough, it's a comfortable place that is really quiet despite opening outdoors - I'm sure the town gets no traffic at night. Hotel staff is friendly but know the office is not 24 hours, so make sure you get in at a reasonable time! That'll earn you a key and a nicely done-over room - this is clearly an older place but they have done their best to keep up. All the plugs and lights and A/C etc. worked, which is no longer something I take for granted at non-brand hotels (or even sometimes branded ones...). No breakfast, you just leave when it's leaving time, so that's a downside. Use the money you saved for that I suppose.

Yelp
This is a quaint clean place. Best deal in town on the day we arrived in June. Efficient check in. An EV level 2 chargers and place to sit outside. Right on the main road so not ideal but for a quick stop, great.
