Avana Waterfront Apartments

What a find very comfortable for 3 adult friends in a 2 bedroom. Lots of room to spread out in the apartment and around the property. The beach and jetty where a bonus with fish and turtles visiting most days beautiful sunrises .

We had a great time staying at Avana Waterfront Apts & would recommend it for sure. We spent a week on the west coast when we first arrived then a week at Aitutaki & then here for our last week. Muri lagoon is a beautiful place to swim, snorkel & if you are lucky like we were, swim with a feeding turtle. We hired a car to get around or you can catch a bus from the end of the road, or walk the 1.3km into the restaurant cafe area in Muri. The studio units are spacious & well appointed with everything you need. I’d definitely stay here again.

Great for location, clean and tidy but could do with a refurb. Wifi is extra and really only connected downstairs.. but starlink connection at the swimming pool was excellent and handy after a day out and when the pool area was deserted at night. Close to Muri and the night markets. But need a car to get to the bigger supermarkets and the town centre Great for family groups but not if you want a quiet place

Simple but large and very comfortable and super quiet apartment on the edge of Muri Lagoon (swimmable from the jetty when the current is not strong and there is a swimming pool and kayaks). We have stayed at those apartments 8 times in the last 25 years. We love the feel of the place and we hope they will not change: they are not luxurious but they are very clean, bright and very well appointed with a great vibe. Desiree the insite manager is fantastic and keep the place in great shape and make sure the guests have what they need. We stayed 9 nights but could have stayed much longer. We will be back of course and we hope it will stay the same!

Was so disappointed. Was booked for Apartment 6 but got placed in Apartment 7. It should (&8) be offered at a cheaper rate than the ground floor apartments because it is down the back driveway and upstairs. The apartment itself is well presented and furnished but the waterfront and pool access can only be reached by walking down the back driveway, through the pool area and past the downstairs units. There was no wifi. It's an extra charge; and the air con is another $10 per night. There wasn't a designated carpark. The waterfront is amazing; so is Muri beach. I recommend requesting a ground floor apartment with waterfront access. That would've made my stay a 5/5 because everything else was great.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and although there was plenty of room it was dated and tired looking and could do with some clean up noting the following:|* Kitchen cupboards old and had a very musty smell|* Outdoor seating had ripped canvas|* Outdoor rubber mat disintegrating|* Shower head kept falling out of the holder so a couple of times we had water everywhere in the bathroom|* Downstairs toilet seat loose|* Clothes drying rack provided however this was rusty so didn't fancy using this|* Wi-Fi initially very spotty however this was fixed in a timely manner||It's a twenty minute walk into Muri so would recommend you hire a car or scooter so you have transport. Also note rooms are only serviced once every three days.||On a positive note it has a great location overlooking lagoon with private jetty and the Manager Desiree was always very helpful.

Wonderful apartments in a beautiful location. Free use of snorkelling and kayaking gear meant we got to see turtles, rays, fishes and all manner of sea life right on our door step. The pool area got sun all day with plenty of shade/coverage if we needed it. Highly recommend!
