Avani+ Koh Lanta Krabi Resort

The location is perfect for a get away. The staff has been excellent and very friendly. When asked they provide excellent recommendations for beaches, taxes, and restaurants. It's been super easy to get around the resort and it's nice that they have a private beach. Breakfast has been fantastic with a new highlighted Thai speciality each day. The rooms themselves are immaculate with great views. They are very clean and worth the price. The hotel is next to Walking Street, that has souvenirs and local food, for a very quick and cheap taxi. I can not say enough great things about this place and staff - highly recommend!

Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome at reception – friendly, professional, attentive, and always with a smile. You feel welcome and in good hands from the very first moment. The cuisine deserves the highest praise: From breakfast to lunch to dinner, everything is absolutely first-class. The selection is diverse, fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. The themed evenings, in particular, are a real highlight and demonstrate the passion with which the team works. The service from the entire staff is outstanding. All employees are incredibly friendly, helpful, and courteous – always present without being intrusive. Whether in the restaurant, at the bar, at reception, or in the service area: Here, hospitality is truly lived. The cuisine deserves the highest praise: from breakfast to lunch to dinner, everything is of the highest quality. The cleanliness of the entire resort is exemplary. Everything is impeccably maintained, tidy, and spotlessly clean. The beach is idyllic – it is cleaned, disinfected, and even swept daily. It's a true oasis of well-being with a fantastic atmosphere. The beach bar is incredibly friendly, relaxed, and the perfect place to end the day. Another highlight is the small coffee lounge on the ground floor next to reception – excellent coffee, delicious snacks, and a wonderful ambiance. The rooms are simply fantastic: spacious, modern, spotlessly clean, and with breathtaking sea views. They are thoroughly cleaned daily. The housekeeping staff is extremely friendly, discreet, and very accommodating. The shuttle service with drivers who take you from reception to your room also works flawlessly – fast, reliable, and always with a smile. In short: everything here is just right. Organization, service, quality, friendliness, and atmosphere are all first-class. We felt completely at ease and enjoyed every single day. We had a great time at this hotel. There were some technical issues with our first room, but we were upgraded to a suite with an ocean view, which made our stay even more special. It truly felt like being right in the jungle. All the staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. We only missed fresh juices at breakfast. The beds were a bit firm, but after a few days it was fine. The view from the restaurant is simply amazing. Thank you!

I had an absolutely lovely 3 day stay at this hotel. It’s perched at an absolutely stunning location on a peninsula and the hotel itself has a lovely lush green jungle feel to it. The room was nice and clean but few niggles stopped this being full marks for me. I loved the clean room, comfortable bed and we also had an outdoor seating area which was great. Did not like the shower which has poor water pressure and a nozzle that did not work. Credit to the hotel when I phoned they fixed the nozzle but the water pressure remained poor. I also felt the hotel itself was a little behind the times service wise, the hotel we stayed in before this place had everything you needed on a downloadable app. So coming here felt like a step back having to ask or chase a member of staff. As a vegan the food was okay, the restaurant has a couple of options but it’s far from extensive and the breakfast buffet was not marked for what had egg or fish in it. Again I fed this back. The dinners and and lunched we had the food was great. Feels like a hotel on the edge of greatness!

A lovely hotel situated at the end of a beautiful beach. I particularly enjoyed the morning walk along the shoreline to the other end of the beach and back, which was around 5 km—perfect exercise to start the day. The 7 a.m. fitness classes were a real highlight; they were brilliant, and the instructors were enthusiastic, supportive, and motivating. There’s also a charming local bar and beach massage services at the bottom of the hotel, both reasonably priced, with staff who clearly knew what they were doing. The hotel bar staff were equally wonderful—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and sincerely hope to return.

Firstly I want to say the staff are wonderful and this review has nothing to do with them more the cost and facilities. We never intended to stay at Avani but after our accomodation fell through this is where we ended up. We were excited to stay at a 5 star resort but unfortunately the exorbitant price does not match the experience. - The kids club is so unkept and gross and not at all acceptable for a supposedly 5 star resort -The furniture outside is incredibly worn and at times broken - The breakfast is okay but again for the price not exceptional - oftentimes there would be quite a bit of rubbish left around the pool area Positives are the rooms are comfortable and the pool area was good for kids. The price was actually heartbreaking given the experience. The staff however are absolutely lovely and wonderful people.

Stayed at Avani Koh Lanta over New Year’s Eve. The resort itself is beautiful, peaceful, and well-maintained, but the dining experience really didn’t live up to expectations. The special dinner buffet was overpriced for the quality — seafood like lobster and crab was overcooked and served without nutcrackers, making it nearly impossible to eat. Even simple dishes like fried rice and desserts were below average.||The location is quiet, which is nice if you want to relax, but it’s far from the nicer beaches and areas with more restaurant options. I’d suggest the hotel focus on improving food quality and variety, as nearby places offer much better meals for a fraction of the price.

Hello, My vacation to the island of Koh Lanta was beyond an amazing experience. The Avani + resort is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed on all of my travels. On 12/10/25 I had dinner at the restaurant and my servers name was Nid. She was very welcoming and made the dinning experience exceptional. Nid was very fast and made sure everything was to my liking. She checked in with me a good amount but not too much like some others do, it was the perfect amount. Because of the friendly staff, beautiful resort with stunning views, delicious food, and overall great experience I will be returning next year. -Thank you Avani + !!!
