Avani Pemba Beach Hotel

It's a wonderful place to stay for business or for holidays. Great view of the sea. Hotel big enough for walking. Clean rooms except the carpet which was dirty, I think they should vacuum instead of sweeping.

Overall satisfactory with some minor improvement it could be a great place. Improve the internet and clean the swimming pool would be a good start.

Avani Pemba is another beautiful place on the beautiful beach. A place where the whole family can have fun with little kids. You can get delicious food and drinks at a reasonable price from the restaurant there.

Beautiful sea view lawn with private sea beach and many more to enjoy. Highly recommended.

Located with sea view, the Avani is ones of those Hotels that I would recommend to anyone visiting the city of Pemba. We had a great time and the staff treated us very well and we fill pumped. The breakfast at Restaurant Quirimbas and variety of food was wauuuuuu, we enjoyed the Club Naval and its facilities. We will be back.

This so called resort is an old jaded place which hasn't been maintained in years. The rooms are dirty, old, smelly and full of mosquitos. I killed a few mosquitos one night leaving their blood stains on the very old sheets ... when l returned after the room was cleaned l found the same sheets after being turned around with the bloodstains still there .... so much for room cleaning. In the bar there l was charged twice for the same bill .... apparently incompetence runs through the whole operation. At 155 dollars for the cheapest room l can only say they should be wearing masks as they Rob you .. save your money and go somewhere else .. this is most definitely one to avoid.

The pros : only large hotel in Pemba|The cons : getting worse and worse after year, due to lack of maintenance and staff. Even cleaning is below expectations. No light in the passage giving access to the bedrooms during power outages. At the time of our arrival, the system to issue key cards was off and we had to get a security staff to walk to each room with the master key.
