We had a very Nice wine tasting experience at the Avantis winery. Anna was a Great tourguide with a wast knowledge of their wines as well as suggestions of which type of food goes with each wine. She was very warm and friendly and the visit was had an overall very friendly vibe. Also the face massage with their own face creams was delightful! We can warmly recommend it.

Today we called for a wine tasting and tour in the wine cellar. It was no problem so we went there by 2pm. We were greeted by a friendly woman who knew a lot about wine. We tasted about 6 wines and non of them disappointed. If you want to taste wine, go to Avantis!!!

Avantis Estate is a beautiful winery located near Chalkida and approx. 1h and 15 min from Athens. The winery offers a cozy patio and a wine tasting room/bar both facing a small vineyard planted with Sauvignon blanc. We had an informative guided tour to the cellar and an exceptional wine tasting session. We are grateful to Anna our hostess for describing the tasting profiles of the wines we sampled, her positive vibes and constructive enthusiasm. She also provided food recommendations about different wines of the winery, including special details about grapes and vintages. Overall, we had a great experience, and definitely we will return back. There is also a unique Oenotherapy spa that we will try next time.

It was quite an enigma place as I didn’t exactly know what to expect from it. It turn out very nice although the entrance was trough the miss leading gate which when we crossed we entered something seemed as backyard of the winery. Nevertheless it was very quick when Eleftheria met us and welcomed warmly. Eleftheria is an Avantis Estate sommelier and has a great knowledge of origins, taste and scent of all the wines, so she was the best person to lead us trough the place and it’s products. She’s also kind and professional so our time in winery was truly fun and educational. We decided to try some wines (cost depending on amount and quality of the served wines from 10 up to 20 euro per person) and loved it. Mostly Historia wine but also Malagousia and sweet desert wine Princess Stavrina. After the wine tasting time we moved to the winery shop where you can purchase wines or very good quality cosmetics (body balm, dry oil, beautifully scented skin care and many others). An amazing experience, highly recommend to anyone visiting Chalkida.

Wonderful new wine restaurant and wine tasting experience just opened in May 2019 in a transformed outdoor cinema overlooking the Aegean Sea. This was our favorite wine tasting, cool breezes, sweet music, kind and generous hosts. This would be a beautiful place for a wedding or special event. Great service, great views, beautiful venue. Educational and well informed descriptions of the wines from both Santorini and their neighboring island vineyards on Evia. Modern, clean and so close to Fira town. And off the beaten track from the busy crowds of Oia and Santos.
