Google
I reserved a room for two nights, and it was a great experience. The hotel is within very close walking distance to Levi’s Stadium, which was super convenient. I loved the overall “artsy” vibe of the place, from the colorful aesthetics outside to the stylish theme inside the room. Even the soap dispensers in the shower added to the unique feel. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room smelled fresh and was very clean. One standout feature was the gym, it’s the largest I’ve ever seen at a hotel, with a wide variety of equipment for any kind of workout. While there's no complimentary breakfast, they do have a restaurant on-site where you can purchase food. Just be aware that parking isn’t free, you’ll need to pay extra to park there. Overall, a great place to stay!

James E.

Google
The price is entirely based on the location and you get none of the things you would expect from such a price. No complimentary breakfast, no hallways containing doors to rooms. Their advertised streaming services mean the TVs have the apps for you to log into. All in all, like a fairly nice, gated motel. Staff interactions were curt and unsatisfying. When my room keys stopped working because my door battery died. I reported it and then we stood staring at each other for almost a minute before he told me in would be about 5 minutes. I said I would sit in the lobby and he said that would be okay. No indication that my broken door and extra trip to the lobby was anything but an intended feature of my stay.

Google
This place was super nice. From the comfort of the bed, to the amazing shower, and not to forget the TV was big and enjoyable to sit back and watch some shows. We booked this hotel a little late due to a bad experience at a totally different hotel earlier that night. We were so happy and glad that we chose this place though. Everything is super clean and organized, the staff were very respectful and interacting. The lobby itself has a really pleasant feel to it. The lobby restrooms were super clean and super cool! We didn't get to experience the gym or pool but they do have it available. I don't drink but they had a bar and restaurant open during certain hours. We will definitely be coming back here to enjoy the full experience. Thank you guys for keeping this place awesome for others to enjoy. I've attached some photos of hotel.

Google
I was in town for a work trip & decided to try this hotel out. It looked pretty unique online so figured I’d give it a shot. As others have said, the front desk staff should be a bit more hospitable & welcoming to guests. From when I checked-in & other times I interacted with them, they had a straight face the majority of the time. They weren’t rude or anything but just not as welcoming as you would think a hotel would be. The room itself wasn’t bad but smaller than I expected. However, not a deal breaker for me. Overall, the hotel isn’t bad at all, it looks like an older motel that was upgraded & fitted out to be a boutique Hilton property.

Google
Great location hotel that is just 5 minutes from office. The rooms were converted from a motel. Decor is different , quite arty but nice. Bed and bedsheet was new and fresh daily. Love this hotel!

Google
I recently stayed at the Avatar Hotel (May 30 - June 1) Wonderful experience. I was with my grandmother on a trek to visit family. Travel can be stressful as we all know. I cannot express how the fitness rooms, pool, our room, and entirety of the hotel was perfectly pristine. The yellow and white stripped cabanas were my personal favorite. We were utterly comfortable and the room had everything we needed. The atmosphere was ever so welcoming and accommodating. Beautifully kind staff and cannot wait for our next stay.

Google
Stayed one night for a concert and had a decent experience. The hotel was clean with plenty of parking. Great location next to Starbucks and across from several restaurants. Easy 15-20 minute walk to Levi’s Stadium and Great America. Our room was spacious, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Didn’t use the amenities, but the pool and gym looked well maintained. The only downside was the staff. Not rude, but not friendly either. No smiles or welcoming attitude at check-in or check-out. Some hospitality training would help. Would stay again for another event at Levi’s.

Google
Location is great but the stay is crap. The hotel is a glorified motel. The battery to my hotel door died and the staff took forever to get a replacement that caused me multiple trips to and from the front desk on multiple occasions for 1.5 days. They couldn't resolve it since their maintenance crew weren't available. Very slow and poor prioritization on my concern with the electronic keypad issue...

Sam S.

Yelp
Jose is amazing! Best customer service! The rooms are clean and cool in the summer! Walking distance from Levi stadium and Great America. Pool is heated for those cool Bay nights.

Yelp
This is a new Hilton property after they recently purchased it. I was so hopeful but this honestly felt like putting lipstick on a pig. This is a true motel and my door to the exterior had a pretty big gap that let in light and is where I expect a spider in my room came from. It's super cutesy but the rooms definitely feel old. I was so frustrated from all the little things: empty conditioner container, handle falling off, low water pressure, loose outlets that won't hold a plug. I was super excited as they do have two peloton bikes but the gym is soooo hot. Working out was brutal and the water dispenser had the lowest flow rate. Parking is $15 even though it is a shared lot with a Starbucks. Overall, I felt over charged and under whelmed

Yelp
This will be the last time I stay at this dump. If you are coming for a concert just know the app will tell you all you need is to check in on your phone and use it for room key. Not only that it doesn't alert you that you need to show an ID. Well we planned our day and figured we show up at 3pm when we could get into our room and nope once you check in on your phone it tells you that you need to show someone at the front desk your ID till you show up and check in. The line for check In is about an hour, the workers are rude as hell and move like a herd of turtles. I don't know how a manager can see a line down the building and have only two computers going. I guess they don't care about customer service cause they know it will sell out.

Yelp
I stayed here for 1 night while I was up in Santa Clara for a work trip. The location is great as it's in a prime location close to the San Jose airport. I am loyal to Hilton's and will always make an effort to stay at one when I can. You can tell that the hotel was bought out by Hilton and remodeled while keeping it's quirky charm. The room is definitely on the smaller side but beds were comfortable and a lot of fixtures were updated. Pros: - The gym is amazing. Very new and clean equipment. - Central location. There is a few shopping plazas walking distance as well as a Starbucks right next door to the hotel. - Quiet hotel. Cons: - My room for some reason had a bunch of dead rollie pollies around the bathroom area. I'm not sure why and how they got there but It was a bit concerning to see some type of bug in the room. - The service at the front desk was questionable. I was checked-in by an employee and they didn't give me the rundown on the breakfast that was included in my stay and also wrote down the wrong room number for me while telling me verbally a different number which in turn caused me to run around the hotel looking for my room. I would recommend this hotel if you have a short stay. Some of the other reviews mentioned this wouldn't be a good hotel for business travelers and I would say it's probably not the best as there are better options. My room didn't have a ironing board but it did come with a steamer in which I was able to use for my clothes.

Divya S.

Yelp
This place is basically a motel. Both rooms had cockroaches and dead moths. WiFi didn't work at all. Pillows are horrible. At night the gates by the rooms don't work, even with the room key. The front desk didn't care about any of this when we told them. They charged us $15 for parking, which they didn't disclose during check in. If you buy water at the front desk it's $4, but the water in the room is $3. Parking is also extremely tight here. Best to avoid this place.

Yelp
A resort style hotel in the middle of Santa Clara that gives one the feeling of being somewhere exotic. When I stepped on to the property it immediately gave me Miami vibes or similar far away beach community...just looking across the street to what I would characterize as a standard (business) hotel proves you're somewhere different. The lobby while not cavernous is sprawling and feels spacious. I would say the same for the dining area, fitness room and pool. The entire property is painted in bright white with a splash of color all throughout the propery...whether it's the minimalist style furniture to the wall treatments there is nothing dull here only festive vibes and brightness...like a resort. Ultimately I chose this hotel because it was different...I've stayed at the nearby hotels (which are more expensive ) over half a dozen times and was attracted by the image their Hilton web page showed of the property which turned out better than I expected. My biggest gripe and the reason I'm not giving this location more stars...is that it's not designed for the standard business traveler. In my room, there is no ironing board, no microwave and more importantly no bank of outlets near my bed...to put a fine point on the outlet situation...the lowest amount of outlets in a "modern" room I've stayed in many years. None of which would be an issue if I were on vacation. The rooms are comfortable, modern and clean but not super luxurious because a beach side (in this case pool side) lounge awaits. Lastly, they have a Keurig, not something I usually see at a standard hotel serving business types like me...while that's good they only had one pod (they have a decaf pod and I'm disregarding that). Would I come back, yes...when I'm on a vacation or get away mind set.

Yelp
Do not stay here!! Got out of the shower ready to head to bed and saw something crawling from the corner of my eye. Thought it was nothing then I got up and found a second cock roach crawling. Killed it took the picture, got transferred to a room 3 doors down. Just to see a dead cock roach and moth. Instead of complaining again I drove 3 hours home at 11pm. Don't waste your time or money staying here. I was in room 143 & 139 for reference.

Yelp
Visited this hotel while on business....this signature hotel is relatively new from renovations over the past few years. A few things I noted. - The rooms are rather small - very few amenities- if you need an iron and ironing board you will need to ask the front desk and there is no microwave - the staff is attentive and fast acting - they are close to good food and the amusement park Great America The restaurant was okay...I ordered a steak salad and found out that they ran out of steak 1hr into service Bottom line if you need a place to stay for yourself over night...this might be the place for you...the price is what you would expect but IMHO this is a very Mid hotel at best

Yelp
This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel even being a hiltons honor member. We checking in early morning on the app and then in person when we arrived at 10 AM. The room wasn't ready but we got a parking pass and sat at the bar for a couple hours until 12 when they said the room would be ready. 12 rolled around and then we were informed the room would not be ready until 3. We ended up checking in our luggage at the front and going to the 49er game. When we arrived back at the hotel after the game the receptionist told us our reservation was cancelled by Hilton for "fraud". This was the same receptionist that we checked in with earlier in the day. Additionally, our reservation number and room number were still shown on our app. We were 2 hours from home and not in a condition to drive home. The receptionist told us we could not have another room and was zero help with trying to accommodate us. We ended leaving and finding another way home after planning on staying the night. Safe to say will never be staying here again.

Yelp
We stayed here while attending a conference in Santa Clara and it wasn't good. Pros: Location is good; nice ambience with restaurant, bar, pool, fitness, and firepit area. Rooms were clean. Rates were good, especially for a solo traveler. Cons: Loud because of being along a busy street. Service was not so great. I asked the front desk guy if it was okay to park in the lot and he said yes. After getting to the room (on the fourth floor, and elevators were out of order), there was a tiny paper in key card that said "parking pass required." So I called the front desk and he said I did need to come down and get a pass, and then go and put it on my dashboard. He had no response or apology when I asked why he didn't inform me when I asked about my car earlier. Then the next day, another front desk agent told me parking is actually $15. Prefer to stay somewhere else that will offer great service and be transparent about fees.

Mylesia E.

Yelp
If you're going to a concert at Levi don't bother staying here!! Hotel was unprofessional and unprepared for event.. despite it not being the first event held at Levi stadium. Check in time was supposed to be 3pm didn't get room until after 7pm. Staff wasn't even sorry or showed any sign that they even cared about the 50+ people that were waiting to check in. They could've at least waved the parking fees or something for the inconvenience but did they?! NOPE. Day shift manager seemed drunk or high. Asked her to check and see if my room was ready she went to the counter looked at a binder, walked away and went on with the rest of her day as if she forgot I was waiting for a response.

Yelp
I frequently travel to Santa Clara for work and enjoy trying new hotels. This time, I stayed at the Avatar Hotel for three nights. Typically, I prefer Hilton brands. Lobby Area The hotel lobby is spacious and open, featuring a bar and restaurant. The bar offers a good selection of beers, but the food menu is limited. I ordered an 8oz ribeye with two sides and a 16oz draft beer. They mistakenly served me a 16oz steak, which was perfectly cooked, so no complaints there. The steak was decent, the onion rings were good but not exceptional, and the side salad was average. The total cost was around $38. Fitness Area The fitness facilities are the best I've seen in a Santa Clara hotel. There's a large weight room with two sets of dumbbells ranging from 5 to 75 lbs, barbells, and about a dozen weight machines. Plenty of towels and water were available. There's also a separate cardio room, which I didn't use. The gyms are open 24 hours. Additionally, there's an outdoor pool, but I didn't check it out. Common Areas The hotel seems to be a renovated old-school motel just off Highway 101. The doors open to the exterior, and the windows face the corridors, so if the shades are open, people walking by can see inside. A fence has been added around the property, so you can't park right outside your room like in traditional motels. You have to walk through unsheltered areas to get from some buildings to the lobby. There's also an attached Starbucks that opens at 5 am, which is a definite plus. The Room I wasn't impressed with the room. It was small and cramped. The desk is part of the entertainment/drawers unit and is directly in front of the bed, with about two feet of clearance between the bed and drawers, just enough for the desk chair. The room appears to have been recently renovated, with fresh white paint and interesting art on the walls. The bathroom was also clean, with minimal mildew in the lowest grout line around the shower. The towels were soft and absorbent, but you need to remember to grab a bath towel before getting into the shower since they are on opposite sides of the room. The shower has dispensers for conditioner, shampoo, and body wash, but there's a sealed bar soap for the sink. The coffee station uses a typical pod system, but the creamer is Coffee Mate, not real milk or cream. The bed was comfortable, but the top sheet only reached mid-chest level. The room doesn't have an iron, only a steamer, which takes some practice to use effectively. There's no closet, just a hanging bar in the bathroom and a rack for your suitcase. Overall, the quality is average to good, but the experience was poor to average. I won't be staying at this hotel again.

Phil T.

Yelp
One star only because zero isn't an option. This place is cheap for a reason -- it's disgusting. I've stayed in budget hotels before, but this was next-level gross. Think Motel 6... and then lower your expectations. The room clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. There were pubic hairs in the bathroom and some kind of mysterious oily residue on the counter. It was like a crime scene from a horror movie, but less organized. When I called the front desk to complain, the night manager answered and seemed completely out of it -- erratic, incoherent, and honestly, it felt like he might've been high. Instead of helping, he acted like I was the problem. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague. I'd have had a better night's sleep in my car at a truck stop. At least there, I wouldn't be worried about catching something.

Yelp
Nice hotel. I stayed here the last 2 times I had business in the area. Stayed there on Monday and Tuesday this week. When I got home I realized I left an important piece to my CPAP device in the room. I called and spoke to a gentleman and he took my info and said he would look into it and call me back. It's been three days and haven't received a call back. Very disappointed. If it's gone that's fine but just let me know.

Yelp
Pretty cool hotel! This use to be a Motel 6, 4 years ago. They turned it into something really modern. The restaurant, and Starbucks downstairs use to be an IHOP. Everything is pretty high-tech, and can be changed on your app. The only con is, I'm staying in room 403, and the door doesn't exactly close all the way. Comfortable bed and pillows.

Jianhua C.

Yelp
I booked this hotel for a little vacation with my girlfriend, and it blew our expectations away. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They offered to help me set up a Hilton account to save up points for potential discounts and free hotels! Everyone in the vicinity was very kind as well, the food was also excellent! With great room service. The area around the hotel is also exceptional, nice restaurants in walking distance! The hotel rooms were also very clean and neat, no complaints here! Would definitely come again!

Jahayra G.

Yelp
I had my stay at Avatar Hotel for a little staycation and I would love to say 10/10 hotel! the staff were really friendly and helped me book another day. Everything was clean and had a great night rest considering it's in Santa Clara! can't wait to book again soon!

Yelp
Newly renovated and remodeled hotel by Hilton. This looks like an old Best Western level motel that is newly renovated by Hilton. Direct access from outdoor corridors. Two elevators at hotel. 4 stories high. Interior design and FF&E are newly installed with modern feel. Nice modern light fixtures. I stayed at Marriort across the street week before. So by comparison, Avatar Hotel noise level is quieter and nicer. For one, Marriot AC unit is very loud. Avartar in room AC unit is very quiet by comparison. Front desk staff gave me 2 bottles of complimentary water where Marriot is not free. Attached to Hotel Lobby building is a new Starbucks. And Ramen and Indian restaurants all within walking distance. Overall for the price of hotels in this area, this one is great. Wifi works good too.

Yelp
Amazing team they really make are staying so nice a lot help loved Zaida alvarez helps us so much we can come back for sure thank you

Yelp
This hotel/motel was a one and done for me! I travel most weeks for work and was excited to try something different in this area, however, I was very disappointed in the quality, and overall service at this facility. If I wasn't so exhausted from traveling all day, I would have wanted to move to a more familiar and posh Hilton garden inn. (Honestly the HGI would have been a huge upgrade!) Areas of concern: (1) No ability for early check in. Not even a room ready at 2pm! (2) My Room that I did an online check in for 24 hours earlier was actually not even ready by the 3pm check in time and I was placed in another lower floor room as a result. (3) The dang elevator was broken! I Needed to haul all of my luggage up the stairs! (4) There is a cheap Motel feel and quality to the rooms. (5) No Hot water for a shower in the morning! (Ran the shower for 15 min and never got warm! I was running late and had to take an improvised sink shower) (6) I stopped by the front desk to note the water issue as I was checking out and the front desk staff was too busy eating to apologize more than a grunt. I will avoid this hotel for future business travels and would hope that the management takes an interest in making this property FEEL like a Hilton experience Instead of a cheap (by the hour) motel.

Yelp
Excellent location. Close to Levi stadium. Can easily walk to the stadium. Starbucks onsite. Rooms were spacious and clean. Pool was beautiful

Yelp
I really enjoyed the hotel. Renovated and super clean. Front desk young lady very nice and new but helpful. The closest gate entry didn't accept my room card, but the maintenance guy was right on it. I really enjoyed the restaurant. Pool is perfect, reminds me of vegas. Great deal for the price for sure.

Rick S.

Yelp
Lazy people, always on their cell phones. Felt like I was interrupting them each time Could not fix heater in room and when I said to cancel reservation 4 days alter, no one asked why just cancelled I love the tapestry and curio concepts, but this was a bad one

Frances H.

Yelp
As a single woman traveling out of the San Jose airport the Avatar was clean, comfortable and safe. The pool outside was quiet and peaceful. Nice break from my travels!

Pete L.

Yelp
Great location! Very very clean retro look. Lobby , restaurant bar is very nice. The gym is huge! The most equipment I have seen in any hotel!

Courtney L.

Yelp
We booked a stay here for two nights. Sheets were not clean. We got back to our room at 5pm the second day and couldn't enter because they had just started servicing it. Ridiculous! AC/heat doesn't work properly. You'll freeze and then get super hot. Will not book here again.

Maryanne W.

Yelp
The Handicapped accessible rooms were void of all amenities (not even a pen). The bathroom was dirty and had bugs in the shower area. the floor was soiled (dirty) with many stains. the desk area was a safety hazard with cracked and jagged edges. there is no closet - no luggage rack, no place for clothing and no means by which to hange items. The bath room sink had cigarette burns in the sink as does the carpeting near the desk. The bedding is too low for a truly disabled person with no means of assistance/to attempt to get out of the bed. The bed is highly uncomfortable - lumpy and unless you are extremely vertically challenged with a propensity for pain and and sleeping on rocks this bed is not for you. no sound proofing so one will hear all of the coming and goings of loud drunk guests and the highway. I was exhausted and it was past midnight - otherwise I would be out of her. Hilton's BIGGEST Failure. The hospital waiting room has better amenities and more comfortable sofas to crash on, the bathrooms I. a public hospital are cleaner. SAFETY and SECURITY are a JOKE with the a joining room door opened and the gap around the room door is can easily fit a camera or devices aiding in breaking in entering needless to say at 2 am I won be getting any rest I so desperately need. DO NOT WASTE YOU MONEY OR TIME STAY anywhere else NOT HERE!!!! Especially if you are disabled! The Front Desk staff was nice.
