A beautiful Bed & Breakfast in the heart of Avebury Circle. Comfortable and well furnished with an excellent vegetarian breakfast served in your room from your menu selection. Mere steps from the stones and the local eatery and pub, it is easy to get around the village and visit the shops with local goodies. I’ve stayed at the Lodge during the summer twice now and go back in August this year. Andrew and his wife Susan are awesome hosts and I look forward to seeing them again.

Thank you again for our beautiful stay in The Pelmet Room last night. The Lodge is beautiful - and blessedly cool after the furnace of the day, and we enjoyed watching the little blackbird family in the front garden. Breakfast was sensational - and I have always wanted to 'take breakfast in my room' like a Georgian Lady, so that was really very marvellous. Great service, great hosting, lovely place!

Half as good but charges twice as much! Worst value for money in all my trips this year. Lacks basics like table and chair to have breakfast in the lodge or in your room; taps in the washbasin are separate individual hot and cold - no mixer! So choose between scalding hot and ice cold. 😜Wonder what century they are living in. The entire experience can be summarized as terrible. In the name of being quaint they have dated cabinets, art on the walls is all for sale, etc. Terrible value for money. Go elsewhere.

The Avebury Lodge is a magical and haunted Inn. We had great views of the Avebury Stone circle right out our room windows. We had some towels and cabinets and lights being moved on us all night by some spirit though it never seemed frightening only funny. The breakfast was amazing and the Inn keeper was so nice and helpful. We loved our brief stay. The decor was so fancy and beautiful. felt like a VIP staying there. One Plaque on the wall in our bathroom noted several celebs that had stayed there including the Duchess of York, and Aerosmith's singer Steven Tyler, presumably not together lol. One cabinet flew open right in front of my eyes as we left like the ghost was telling us goodbye.

We had a most wonderful welcome at the Lodge and loved staying inside the stones. Breakfast in the room was an absolute highlight. Thanks Susan and Andrew for making our stay so special. We wil definitely be back again when we walk the Ridgeway!

The management were delightful, the breakfast delicious, and the lodge de-lovely! Andrew was so friendly and helpful, and the room cosy and inviting. The view from the window was amazing! We’d sit ourselves in the comfy chair and view the 5000 year old stone megaliths from the front window. And to sleep in the center of the Avebury Stone Circle was a dream come true. Then the breakfasts, of which mine was vegan, were absolutely delicious. My American husband however was impressed with the collage in the bathroom of visitors to the Lodge, especially Steven Tyler. For me it was Glenda Jackson. Thank you Andrew for a visit to remember…

Had a lovely night’s stay at Avebury Lodge. The owner’s were both friendly and polite. The bed was very comfortable. It was very disappointing that there was scaffolding blocking the view of the stones from the window, this obviously was essential maintenance to the house so we let it pass. We ended up having to eat breakfast in the bedroom, not sure if this is standard or there was an issue with the room downstairs. In any case it was nice to be able to eat in privacy. The breakfast was nicely presented and was of a slightly above average standard though a little disappointing for the money paid. The bread and marmalade felt of a Lidl like quality and the vegetarian sausage wasn’t a pleasure to eat. The only other gripe is that all the lighting in the room was of a harsh brightness. It would really add to the atmosphere to have a lamp or two with some soft lighting. We ended up turning off the lights and using the bathroom light as a back light. Overall it was a lovely experience and a magical stay inside the stone circle of Avebury.

We only stayed a night but it was very much worth it. The hosts are warm and friendly, the room was a jewel with so many things to discover. Room was very clean and bed was cozy. The delicious breakfast is served in the room and has something for every taste. Last but not least: You go to bed and wake up with the stones. Highly recommended in every sense.
