Really lovely hotel with a gorgeous view from my room terrace. Very close to the village’s many bars, cafes and restaurants, but quiet at night. Friendly welcome from the receptionist and an overwhelming aura of calm. Would definitely stay here again.

What a magical experience we had in this gorgeous beach town in the off season. We literally had the beach to ourselves! Many places were closed, but it didn’t matter. It was magical here, and Hotel Avenida Playa made it even more so. You must know that it has no amenities—no elevator, no toiletries, no in room coffee maker, no breakfast. But if you lug your luggage to the top floor, you will find a lovely, pretty, room in blue and white with a big bathroom (terrific shower!) and a very big terrace that overlooks the beach. When we arrived and couldn’t find the hotel, the receptionist walked out to the beach and found us. She suggested places to eat and drink and watch the sunset. I’m not sure what more you could want?

Great hotel, our room was very clean, the bathroom had a towel, shower gel and shampoo included! Very quiet at night, in the center of the town near all the bars and restaurants!

Just spent a relaxing couple of days in Zahara de Los Atunes and stayed at the Hotel Avenida playa. We booked a deluxe double room with a sea view. The hotel was spotlessly clean as was the room which was nicely furnished with air conditioning. The room had two sets of French windows with a small balcony containing a table and two chairs. It has a fantastic location close to the beach and village centre where there are numerous restaurants. The staff are very friendly but special mention must be made of the receptionist whose food recommendations made our holiday special.

The location of the hotel was quite good to go to the beach and get around the town. One of the nights that we stayed, there was a party across the road and the music was blasting until 5.00 in the morning...the door to the balcony didn't close very well, so it felt like we were at the party, super loud. The room was ok, but I didn't find it very clean. When we arrived, there was sand on the floor of our room and the bathroom was also so, so. For the price, I wasn't that impressed.

Really nice stay here! Steps from the beach with free street parking in front. Staff was super friendly but keep in mind the reception hours (though I think you can call for assistance outside those times). Had a nice balcony to enjoy :)

The Hotel itself is great, location is very close to the beach, super nice Staff (family run), Good food (priced a little bit on the high end, but acceptable), the room was clean. ||||So why only this average rating? It has to do with how much we liked Zahara de los Atunes and the Hotel, that we decided to extend our stay there for two more day's. Unfortunately they were fully booked so they told us about an apartment that they rented out. The apartment was spacious but a little bit further away (5-10min to walk, not a problem). The issues started with sitting the first time down onto the couch, my back was covered with pet hair! My daughter's socks were black on the bottom after being there an hour, even though it didn't seem that dirty. After complaining at the desk, we were told that they wouldn't clean the apartment, so we decided to only stay one night. That was the right decision, because later that night there was a rather big cockroach running towards the kitchen, I made an effort to trap it under a glas for leaving it there for the staff.||||The Hotel itself (staff, location, food) is between four and five stars. But I had to take into considerations the apartment situation as well.||||I will the the ratings only for the Hotel

This lovely little hotel is perfect for a weekend away. Close to the beach, cafes and bars, very quiet. Our room (105) was excellent for all our needs, comfy beds, lively big room with tv, small Juliet balcony with table for two to enjoy nibbles and a glass of wine whilst people watching. Excellent.
