Avila Beach Hotel

Nice hotel. Stayed for 4 nights. Good customer service. Dinner at Blue was good. Quality and diversity of breakfast foods was very good. Gym is well equipped but also highly subscribed. Not enough room for floor exercise. Swim beach is calm due to the use of harbor rocks. All the best beaches are 45 to 60 minute drive. But, I didn’t see any hotels in that area that would rival the Avila. Moreover, there are very nice restaurants and bars in walking distance from the Avila. If you like natural beauty, the national park on the ocean is worth a visit.

Four star hotel with a well kept beach and spacious grounds. Plenty of shaded areas and several spots protected from the wind. The atmosphere in the evening is very pleasant. Food is acceptable. Service is friendly but slow. Rooms are functional and spacious with a modern bathroom. No complimentary water in the room. Booked room type was Octagon Deluxe Room. The location is about a twenty minute walk from the city center. Several good restaurants are close by. Check in was straightforward. Food and drink prices are moderate. The property offers fast WiFi and a modern gym. For transportation the Taxi Curacao 24 7 app works well. Check out was smooth. A deposit of two hundred dollars is required by credit card if you want to charge items to the room.

Didn't stay; this review is for the Blues restaurant, which is part of Avila Hotel. Location was awesome. Right over the water facing west, so it's an incredible spot for sunsets. The staff were alert, solicitous and responsive, which elevated the experience. We had Lobster Tacos (2) & Chicken on Pineapples (2) for appetizers, then Mahi Mahi & Combo Seafood Fettuccine (shrimp, fish, clams & mussels). The appetizers were very good, the combo seafood fettuccine was exceptional. The Mahi Mahi was a bit over medium. The best part was the live music at the nearby beach, which was lively and fun. Lots of people dancing. The volume was turned down after 6 pm so people eating in the nearby open air restaurants (we included) could actually order. Sunset over the ocean was special.

The Avila Beach Hotel is located within walking distance of downtown Willemstad and plenty of restaurants and shops! The beaches at the hotel have clear blue water and lots to see when snorkeling. There were plenty of beach chairs and shade. The 2 bars served excellent food and drinks and also provided beachside service. The room was very comfortable with a great shower. We had a balcony and could see the ocean. The gym was fully equipped with weights and plenty of machines for use. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely come back!

Stunning hotel with two beautiful private beaches — crystal-clear water, soft white sand, and the perfect place to relax. We enjoyed lunch by the beach with a wonderful view; the chicken saté was delicious and the fish of the day was incredibly fresh. Everything exceeded our expectations. Rooms are great and modern. The views and ocean beach are extraordinary. The bars and food were ok, but everything else we enjoyed. Make sure you explor the area. There are great little places between the hotel and downtown.

Avila was perfect, the grounds are beautiful. The rooms are small and lacking storage however, the beds and pillows are great. The beaches are so relaxing and calm. Everything was clean. The services was great. The sunscreen provided by the hotel was nice, it was not refilled at times. The area is up and coming, a few restaurants close by. Overall, we had a great experience and I would most definitely recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful stay at the Avila for our honeymoon. We stayed in the Oceanfront Blues room, which had a beautiful view of the ocean off the balcony. The beaches were beautiful and the snorkeling was just as good as anywhere else on the island. The beach bar will deliver food and drinks right to your chair for reasonable prices. The beach loungers were plentiful and free to use with lots of shade. Everyone we encountered was friendly, polite, and helpful. Our only complaint is that the housekeeping service could have been better. Our room was often not cleaned until very late in the afternoon, and one day was not cleaned at all. The cleaning could have been a bit more thorough, especially since the shower is open on one side and has a tendency to get water all over the bathroom. But overall, I was very happy with our stay and would stay again.
