I've been coming to Avila's for over 25 years, and it’s truly a staple in my life. It all started when I was a kid, coming here with my parents, and now I get to share the same tradition with my own son. The food is absolutely delicious every dish is packed with authentic flavors that you just can’t find at chain restaurants. Beyond the amazing food, the staff is always so incredibly friendly, making every visit feel like coming home. Whether it’s your first time or your hundredth, you’re always treated like family. If you’re looking for real, authentic Mexican food, look no further! Skip the chains and come support this long-standing, local gem you won’t be disappointed!

Happy Valentines Day! This was our first visit here. We were greeted and seated just as soon as we walked in the door. We arrived at 6:45 pm. We grabbed a booth, and within 20 seconds, we had chips and salsa placed on our table. The table and the booth were clean. Within 2 minutes, the waitress headed over and took our order. In 3 minutes our drinks were brought to us. She asked us if we needed anything else, and we ordered the Chile Con Queso. In the next 6 minutes that passed, we had our queso on our table ready to eat. From the moment we ordered our food at 6:48pm, our dinner got to us at 7:10pm, which consisted of 2 orders of Fajitas fiesta combo plate. Everything was hot and tasted great. The staff were friendly and prompt. Our first impression is to give a 👍👍x2. We will definitely go again.

Everytime, i visit Avila's Mexican Restaurant, I order my favorite plate: 🌶 #11. Chile con queso 🧀 steak, rice, 🫘 beans. The smothered steak is juicey and queso has chunks of green chile 😋 It is absolutely 💯 delicious. 🌟 Mario ☝️ is always our server in the evenings🌜 He very nice knowledgeable ✨️ He tops our meal with the famous cinnamon and sugar sopaipillas. Free99! 😋 It's the best!👌 Each time- supplying a moist towellette for our hands. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really loved how they gave us our delicious chips and salsa and drinks as soon as we sat down. But I did not like how they gave us our check before we were even halfway done with our meal. As you can tell in the picture, I have the receipt on the table next to our food that is not even halfway done. My husband always loves ordering sopapillas at Mexican restaurants because they’re on one of his favorite desserts. I was so offended by the early check that I did not order dessert. There’s a few other things I can say especially about the picture of the pitcher of soda right behind our seat. I don’t think that’s very sanitary especially if someone has long hair. I will end with a positive note, for the price the food was good.

I went to Avila's for lunch with my mom, daughter, and granddaughter on March 29th when we were visiting my mom in El Paso. This was my first time eating there. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was really good; our server was very attentive and she made sure we had what we needed. The sopaillas after our lunch were really good as well. We all had a good experience eating at Avila's and I hope to come back the next time I'm visiting in El Paso.

Hands down Love this place. The food was great. The host in the grey shirt was very polite and welcoming. Our waitress hands down the best. She the sweetest lady ever. My son's absolutely loveed her. The food was very home made taste. Little on the pricey side but worth it to us. Highly recommended.

This was my first time visiting this place. It's amazing! The food is good, everyone was kind. Then, the waitress told me that some sopalpillas were included with my dish, and I didn't understand because sopalpillas for me were some fried corn tortillas scrambled with eggs, however, they gave me two pieces of sweet bread with some cinnamon and sugar on it that tasted delicious. It was the perfect dessert, a loved it.

Google
This place used to be good. My waitress was nice but the #11 smothered ribeye I ordered tasted rancid on the third bite. I cancelled that plate I hope I don’t get sick. They need tohave a health inspection

Yelp
After a crazy day of shopping and fighting traffic, we had a hot, and delicious meal at Avila's! The service was very good, and the food was great! They always serve sopapillas as a complimentary dessert, and they are sooo worth the trip! Recommended! 5/5

Yelp
If there was a cero stars I'll choose that! My sister asked for caldo de res!!! This looks horrible like trash! The Sopaipillas where hard and now I'll criticize the place it's all dated please pay attention on what you serve

Yelp
This is a very old restaurant that has persevered through the times! It always tastes like home! I love this place, it has great food, excellent customer service too! My review is about the order we placed using door dash, we placed the order and when we received it, one of our plates was missing. I called the restaurant directly and they were so sorry for their error, and they personally delivered the missing plate to my home! Talk about extraordinary customer service! I was already a customer for life, now they have proven to be not only a delicious Mexican restaurant but also, very focused on their individual customer satisfaction! Thank you Avila's, for proving your loyalty to your customers in El Paso! If you haven't been there in a while, I highly recommend!!! Enjoy!

Yelp
This place looks the same as the Jenni used to go as a kid and the food was great. The server was lively as well.

Yelp
This restaurant came recommended to us from a local. We had just moved to the area so we are searching for THE spot. Anyways...... Salsa is bland. Tomato is overpowering. I will say there is a kick at the end but nothing to write home about. We ordered the Chile con queso. It was effing THICK. This is NOT a dip. You need a knife or two to cut through it. The waiter told me it is meant to be thick but you could feel it going down your gullet and sticking. Definitely need to visit the cardiologist after that. We did pack it up to take home and add some condensed milk to. My husband had some nachos with chicken and "cheese sauce". The "sauce" was melted cheese like they microwaved it on top of the nachos. Definitely not a sauce. The entire thing was bland. Chicken was not seasoned, the "sauce" had nothing to it either. Could have made it better at home. I had the beef enchilada, 2 beef tacos and double order of beans. Beef was bland, taco shells were super chewy BUT the beans were actually good. Not worth $13 imo. Drinks never got refilled either. The sopapillas were good but I'm not coming just for that. Overall we spent $60 and would not return.

Yelp
I have to say that eating at Avilas over the past 50 years has been amazing. The menu has been perfected and always consistent. The staff has been there for decades and still providing the same amazing service. The restaurant has been updated but still has the cost feeling from the original. The tacos are the best I've ever had and the fillings are generous but the taco shell is everything! Not to crispy not to side. Just the right amount to satisfy the seasoned taco eaters! Pop in say hello to the family owned staple in El Paso! Mitch

Yelp
The service at Avila's is great however the food will not have me running back any time soon. Overall everything was very mediocre and the salsa was weirdly sweet tasting and not spicy at all. We ordered the Beef Flautas Entree with Rice & Beans as well as the Ground Beef Taco, Cheese Enchilada and Cheese Chile Relleno combo plate that also comes with Rice & Beans. I'm not saying Avila's is bad.. it's been around forever so at least check it out once. But in my opinion there are definitely better options in El Paso.

Yelp
This spot is an El Paso westside classic. The food is gonna be what it's gonna be. Mostly alright but nothing too great like many other restaurants that have been around. The service is always very attentive and the sopapias at the end always finish the meal strong. Set your expectations appropriately and you will leave here happy and full.

Yelp
Always great I think they make their food with magic included. Have been gone a long while but the salsa is still my favorite. I ordered delivery and it was fast, accurate, and worth the twenty or so minutes wait. Cannot wait to eat on site. Oh El Paso I have missed you

Yelp
My wife was craving Mexican food so we decided to try Avila's which was recommended to us so it was a first-time visit for us. I ordered the Flautas with Rice and Beans and my wife ordered the Enchalida Plate. We were satisfied with our food and enjoyed the chips, guac, and salsa while our order was being prepared. Also, the complimentary dessert option for plain or cinnamon sopaipilla with honey was delicious. The employees were also very kind and attentive to our needs and requests. We will be returning!

Yelp
Tonight we decided to get Avilas for dinner as my mom and I had a craving for some tacos! We were happy to see they have an option to order online! It was very quick and easy! My dad went to pick it up and everything went smoothly! All the food was delicious! I got the chicken tacos and they were STUFFED with chicken and cheese! My mom got the beef tacos and she said they were delicious! My dad got the combination plate and him finishing every piece on his plate tells you how much he loved it! After dinner, we ended the night with a sopapilla smothered in honey! It was a great meal!

Yelp
Delicious and a business that cares. One time my order got messed up and the gentleman fixed the order and drove it to my home! No one does that...but this business strives to serve good food with compassion! Nice job guys!

Yelp
Service was good but food was mediocre at best. Only had the Al pastor tacos but have had better in the majority of other places I've gone.

Yelp
The food is alright. I would say it's a bit above average. The place isn't my favorite but it's not the worst in town, either. I would say the food is a bit more on the Tex-Mex side. Anyway...I haven't been back in quite some time. The only thing I've eaten from here are red enchiladas with rice and beans. I either order enchiladas or tacos whenever I go to a Mexican restaurant. Every once in awhile I'll go for chile rellenos. I always have a hard time deciding if I should order red or green enchiladas. I like both! Decisions decisions! I have a really high tolerance for spicy food and chile. The salsa and enchilada sauce here weren't spicy for me at all. I would say both were extremely mild. Of course that's subjective. Another plus...their beans and rice weren't burned. I think I'd be willing to go back. It's close to the house. The prices are reasonable. I want to say the plates are around $10 each, give or take.

Yelp
Mario @ Avila's was top notch waiter!!! The Chile Cheese dip was on point. The salsa was fresh and the Molé was rich,

Yelp
When I go home to the West Texas town of El Paso, I frequent Rosa's Cantina maybe every third trip. I frequent Avilas EVERY trip. Grew up eating there. My dad was in the national guard avoiding Korea with the then owner grandfather of the now owners. I remember eating 20 caldillo burritos as a 15 year old to the astonished bemusement of the waitstaff and disgust of my dad who paid for it all. These days, I tuck into a number 1A or a number 1b and anxiously await the order of perfect sopapillas that come at the end. I gladly trade of some of my life span by putting butter AND honey into these delectables and then go nap it off. El Paso is one of those towns where your waiter is a pro, been doing it for 30 or 40 years, and is a comfortable Tio or Tia you've had all your life. Thanks for being there, Avilas.

Yelp
This is my second time here and I have been waited on promptly and attentively. I had to pause to take a sip of iced tea because the salsa accompanying the chips is spicy spicy! Everyone's concept of who has the best Mexican food in EP is as varied as the different makes and models of cars on the road today, but, when you are a mature single woman dining out alone, nothing trumps attentive service. The last time I was here I had the chicken mole- it was wonderful. Mole is something I have yet to learn how to make; it takes chicken to a different level than the every day stuff that I throw on the grill at home. Tonight I had a char- grilled chopped steak topped with green peppers and onions and cheese- great low carb choice and enough of a portion to have leftovers for lunch at work tomorrow. Yummy!

Chris R.

Yelp
Came back to ElPaso after 20 plus years and was happy to see Avilas still there. Unfortunately Our service was very poor. Our waiter seemed annoyed. Cut and dry. They were not busy at all. Next came the food that was so disappointing. It wasn't just my food but all the three others who were with me said the same thing. It had no taste the tamale was dry. There's so much competition out there that they had better step up their game!!

Yelp
Avila's is a west El Paso favorite and has been for many decades. Their food is consistently delicious. I have been a customer since I was a child and it is still a favorite. They have the best chile con queso!! Ignore negative reviews and try it for yourself. One woman gave them a bad review because she got a delivery order that was missing extra onions on an item, ate it, then went there the next day wanting a full refund. Writing a bad review over something like that is so unfair to Avila's!
google avatar

Marisa Marie F.

Yelp
I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars: 1 is for having an actual website (a lot of El Paso restaurants don't have a real website-sorry, Facebook doesn't count) and the other star is for being open during this quarantine/pandemic. Otherwise, the food was okay and the customer service and attitude was bad. I may consider trying them during regular hours and hope to get better service and attitude. For now, this is my first impression review. Over the phone the guy seemed annoyed that we were even calling and then when we picked up our order there was no "thank you", "have a good day", nothing. We chose you and were supporting local business, we didn't have to but we did.

Jason C.

Yelp
We ate here after not trying Avila's for about a year and the food has gotten worse. The salsa tasted like dish soap, the food tasted cheap and the server misled me about the price of one of the entrees. I don't like leaving bad reviews but this was a terrible experience. They weren't even that busy and took forever to take my card to pay. We won't be returning.

Yelp
Avila's is (and probably always will be) one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE Mexican restaurants! I think it's still family owned and operated, but regardless - it's been around for as long as I can remember. I was born and raised in El Paso; I've been here countless times, and I'm not sure I've ever had a bad experience. Recently, I was visiting El Paso after having been gone almost ten years. A group of about twenty of us all went on a Friday during lunch. We called ahead and were accommodated beautifully. As always, the staff was warm and friendly; they seated us in the back room. Both the service and the food were everything I remember! So glad I talked family into indulging me! Ever since leaving El Paso, anytime I ever have chile con queso as an appetizer or on a dish ... I can't help but always think about Avila's Chile Con Queso steak. In my opinion - it's second to NONE! So, of course, that's what I had. I even talked a few family members into trusting me. I HIGHLY recommend that dish, and I remember the enchiladas being exceptional as well. It was a great time with family, and the food was just as amazing as I remember. Anytime I'm back in El Paso for any reason - Avila's is on my "no brainer - I absolutely have to eat there while I'm in town" - list. Makes me miss El Paso... ...almost. And don't forget your Sopapillas :)

Jarrett K.

Yelp
I was passing through for work on my way from Tucson to Dallas, and I remembered my dad always talked about how great the food is in El Paso, so I called and this was the first place he recommended from 35-40 years ago. The place has been in business for almost 70 years and has some of the best Mexican food I have ever have. Speaking to the staff and managers was a great time. Service was super quick and you get a great bang for your buck. The #11 Chile Con Queso Steak Plate was a hit. I wish I would have taken a picture of my food, but I ate it too quickly! 10/10 *should* recommend.

Marita S.

Yelp
This place is pathetic and has no integrity. We made an to go order yesterday evening after me being outside all day irrigating my yard and mowing grass, a long hot day of heavy work. In placing the call, I spoke to ZACH, whomever he is, that answered the phone and took the order. When we got the order home (during a severe storm with driving rain, thunder and lightening) my order wasnt right. I asked for enchiladas with extra onions, assuming there were onions inside and I wanted extra. Zach didn't say they were any different when I ordered. He should've said their enchiladas had no onions but, didnt, and since I don't work there, I had no idea they didnt have any because I asked specifically for extra onions. He supposedly personally topped them ( why is he, who answers the phone, handling food???) Well, still storming with heavy thunder and lightening for quite a while during and after my meal, I called the restaurant to comment about it and ZACH got on the phone and assured me he would take care of it and have a manager call me. NOBODY called. I waited till 9 pm, dirty and sweaty from my yard work, for his call but they evidently dont care enough about their customers to make the effort. In the meantime, when I was at the restaurant today, this squirrelly AHOLE whom I assume was a waiter, told them to call the cops to get me out of there because he said I was threatening them. I wasnt . I simply said I would never eat there again and would tell everyone I know not to either, because they were accusing me of lying and said I ate the enchiladas, didnt I? Well, it was stormy, I had been out working in my yard all day in the heat and humidity, and was tired. Due to the weather and the fact that I shouldn't have to waste gas to drive all the way back up there, of course I ate them, but the order wasnt made right after I IMPLICITLY told ZACH several times to make sure there was extra onions. ( there was confusion at the counter when my husband picked up the order, them saying I said NO onions.which is

Yelp
I wish I could give this place a higher rating...but I can't! I know it's been around a LONG TIME, but I found it mediocre at best. The salsa is ok, the guacamole was flavorless, chips were no better than any bag tortilla chips. My fajita beef burrito was TERRIBLE! Chewy and fatty beef wrapped in a flour tortilla. I hate to say it, but I've had better meals at Taco Bell! The one nice experience was the waiter. He was very pleasant and service was good. Unfortunately, this will be my one and only visit. There are so many other options for delicious Mexican cuisine in this city it's not hard to pick a different restaurant to enjoy a great Mexican meal.
google avatar

Tanya Y.

Yelp
Eh. I'm just not impressed. Best Mexican or best food or something like that...I don't think so. I understand that not everyone has money to spend on the quality stuff so at home meals might consist of canned products and iceberg lettuce, but just because that's what you ate at home doesn't make it any more "authentic Mexican" than a bottle of Ragu is authentic Italian. With that in mind, Avila's is a dime a dozen in EP. I've eaten here a few different times and the standard things you need to know...rice is lacking flavor, beans are alright, chips and salsa aren't my favorite (the salsa just tastes store bought). The enchiladas are okay, but I usually stick to taco dishes. There isn't a whole lot to say about this place so I guess I'll just end it with this: you aren't missing anything if you never try Avila's.

Emy K.

Yelp
Great service, excellent food! Id like to focus on the wonderful "Chile con Queso." Dip is not the term I would use. Not only is it stronger than any millennials relationship, but it is also strong enough to hold the American economy together. I declare this a new periodic element. The strongest element. When it was declared that osmium was the strongest element, this queso had not been created yet. DARPA has taken interest in the military application of this new element. Scientists are currently studying it as a white, opaque form of flubber. It's been deduced that this queso (elemental symbol Qu) will work as an excellent substitute for a stable family household, and will willingly play catch with you since your emotionally absent dad won't. I suspect that this element could end and revive world hunger, at the same time, all on its own. Thank you Avila's Mexican Food!

Yelp
HORRIBLE AND COLD FOOD! YUCK! YUCK! GROSS! Way overpriced, horrible taste, cold... gross! We ordered from UberEats and I clicked the "include utensils". I also asked them to be sure the chips, salsa, sopaipillas and honey were included. The order arrived. 3 COLD Meals in one bag. No chips, no salsa, TWO sopaipillas for an order of 3 people. And these are tiny, tiny ones too. Pathetic! It shows how they don't care. My husband asked the driver where everything else was and he said that was the bag they gave him. So my husband called the restaurant, their reply. "the driver should have checked". My husband explained we will NEVER eat their horrible, cold, food ever again and the man's only reply was, "okay". Yeah, zero lack of concern or customer care. The last time we ordered from Avila's the excuse was "you people keep wanting all the condiments and they ain't free". Wow, "you people". So the people in the city who support their business and spend our hard-earned money on their cold food, are "you people" I was so irate that I spoke with the owner last time, explaining how we were missing so much. this time... no bother. If they cannot get an order right, and obviously do not care about quality nor customer satisfaction, I'll eat at Victoria's.

Yelp
Authentic Mexican Food. Free Sopapias Delicioso Good chips & salsa Had a Corona and that was delicious too

Yelp
This place is great. The food is always delicious and the service is friendly. Wife ordered beef gorditas. She said they were outstanding. I ordered red meat enchiladas flat. They needed a bit of spicing up so I used the salsa and they were fine. Overall, this is a favorite spot, close to home, and always good food.

Yelp
Not very good. Place has really gone down hill since it's golden years. Unreliable schedule and spotty service. Place seems kind of dingy for Covid times.

Yelp
I had never tried Chicken Mole before and I was not disappointed! Avilas is a classy Mexican restaurant...the service was EXCELLENT!

Laura J.

Yelp
We had experienced some competently-prepared mole several months ago, so we thought we would give it another try. Flautas were average, fish tampiqueno was good, and fajitas were decent as far as the chicken goes, but everything was bland and lacked any kind of seasoning beyond salt - no cumin, no garlic, no taste. The salsa, the guac, and everything were as bland and without heat or spice. When we ordered, the waiter asked if we wanted corn or flour tortillas, and we told him our preference. When he brought the food, he asked us once again about the tortillas, and we had to wait to begin our meal while he ran to fetch our tortillas. Avila's, you are serving Mexican food on the Texas/Mexico border - please give us the heat we crave! Otherwise, what's the point?

Yelp
It was my last day visiting my family in El Paso, Texas. My sister wanted to try the restaurant so we arrived late for breakfast, so there was no breakfast. Things started bad when my sister ordered decaf coffee and the waitress seem to be bothered by it because the waitress had to make a fresh pot. From then on it went downhill between my sister and the waitress. The waitress should have not been bothered because that's her job to attend to the customer she's in the service industry or maybe she doesn't comprehend that and maybe she should go do something else! I ordered red flat enchiladas with no beans and rice the red sauce was delicious had a good taste to it, my nephew a steak burger , which was a little dry but had a good taste, and my sister ordered rolled enchiladas. The enchiladas were very tasty an so was my nephew's burger ! The waitress messed up from the very beginning by being rude of course it was not much of a dining experience when you have that awkwardness! I don't think my sister will return to that restaurant and when I visit again well quite frankly I don't think I will visit either. I mean I really don't go to Mexican restaurant because I am Mexican so therefore you know I can have all the Mexican food I want I just cook it myself. I can usually tell when a Mexican restaurant is really good and I kind of saw the people that went in there and mostly were white which kind of tells me it is going to be mediocre , which it was. Total came to $41 bucks, no worries I left the crappy waitress 15% , I usually leave 20% but because of her horrible behavior you know I should've just left 5%.

Ln B.

Yelp
When my daughter is home from college, we are here at least once a week. She loves their chips & salsa and she always gets their ground beef tacos. I love their chicken flautas. Also, they use canola oil to cook their food, and I love that about them. I am allergic to soybean oil/vegetable oil. So thank you, Avila's. Another fun thing is you almost always see someone you know in the dining room!

Yelp
Avila's is an El Paso institution. Like many El Pasoans that grew up on the West side, I can't remember Avila's not ever being there. I recently visited for the first time in many many years, and I can say that the experience has dimmed, nostagia glasses not masking some of Avila's shortcomings. Walking in, you notice all the stickers and awards that paint the walls, newspaper clippings from the El Paso times with articles describing Avila's greatness and longevity. This is something that plays to Avila's strengths, it has been able to remain consistent for many many years despite newer restaurants in El Paso coming and failing. Their clientele are fiercely loyal, and regulars make up the majority of diners. I would describe the interior as 'homey.' It has that sort of 'grandma's house' vibe that is starting to feel outdated, but most clientele don't care as they have been coming for 10-20 years and have gotten used to the decor. I wouldn't describe Avila's as having spectacular food, but their food has remained largely the same: consistent, inoffensive, and nothing special. You can find many of the staples of El Paso Mexican cuisine, and everything is okay. One plus is that all entrees come with sopapillas included in the price. You can get them plain or covered in cinnamon sugar, and they come with honey. They are a spectacular end to an otherwise ordinary experience. If not for the sopapillas, I would rate Avila's a three star; instead I give it 4 stars. Avila's remains outdated and normal, but that's exactly the reason why it has been able to survive and prosper for so long.

Cassandra O.

Yelp
We have been customers of Avila's for many years. We love the food. And in the Pandemic , we continued to order take out. While the food remains excellent, the salsa has declined a lot. It now tastes mostly like a tomato sauce, not spicy at all, just bland. One of our favorite things about Avila's was the salsa. Sad to see this happen. Another thing that we noticed is that when we do take out, we usually order the same thing, and prices are different every time. Don't understand why this happens. I think management needs to do better quality control.

Frank G.

Yelp
Food is good, especially the carnitas and cheese mole enchiladas Service is a whole other issue. Even now with COVID situation going on, ordering over phone, you get some of the rudest people taking orders. I have never had good service at this restaurant. I hear there are many regulars, but I would not recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
The food is ok not authentic Mexican food it's 60%texmex food waiters are good have seen them from years I appreciate beeing there 2 shifts lol owners are ok but don't think they treat good there employees

Yelp
Apparently this is an El Paso institution. I wasn't all that impressed with the food. I had the Chili con queso with chicken - while it was excellent service from a man who has worked there longer than I have been alive - the food was just not that flavorful. We had a nice big table with enough space - and it looked like you could rock out one heck of a dinner party there - but I will likely have to try again with something else on the menu.

Yelp
For my first time I was shocked. I had never had fish tacos and they were good. The staff was friendly besides this one guy who throw my straw at me. Overall I would go back again.

Yelp
My favorite Mexican food in El Paso. Anytime I go visit, this is my go to place. The ambiance isn't what you'd expect of a traditional Mexican restaurant, however, their food is amazing! Their green enchiladas are my favorite. I'd recommend this place to anyone in good confidence that they'd love it too.

Yelp
Avila's is famous for a reason. The food is just simply good. It's hard to get all elaborate about Avila's. It's a very simple restaurant with spacious tables for their very large plates! You are seated at your table with a bowl and a jar of green salsa. Be warned, it is spicy for the mild palette. Within a minute there is someone getting your drink order and setting a bowl of warm tortilla chips for you to enjoy the fresh awesome salsa. I really wish my taste buds were stronger (weaker??) so that I could eat larger amounts of the salsa. The menu is large and covers just about everything. They have both Mexican (New Mex) food and some "American" entrees for the picky eaters such as hamburgers. I freaking LOVE the red enchilada sauce here. I could honestly buy it by the carton and put it on all sorts of things at home. It is savory and flavorful. The guacamole is fresh and amazing and their queso is SO good. You get fresh steamed corn tortillas with the queso, I love that! Come alone or bring your friends, just do not come to El Paso without eating at Avila's! Oh, by the way, I had my chips n salsa, soda, huge plate of enchiladas, and two sopapillas for dessert for just $10.38! That's how is should be folks!

Yelp
This was the first Mexican Food restaurant since leaving Calif. that was awesome. The "hot" sauce not their salsa but ask for it if you like it hot. Their picadillo burrito was to die for. Very reasonably priced and good authentic Mexican food. When we pass through E Paso again we will definitely be back.

Yelp
Excellent customer service. Our lunch was tasty and the food was freshly made. They have a new dish (at least new to me) consisting of summer squash and corn topped with cheese. It was pretty good. And a nice little touch at the end of your meal, a warm sopapilla .

Yelp
Late evening in El Paso, looking for a place to eat, that we can sit down and relax, found the only place on our list that was still open. But once we walked in, was told, the kitchen is closing in 5 minutes, but you can still order, just make sure you do it in the a loted time. The menu was simple, we started with chili con queso, and it was a great choice! The chili was in strips, and embedded in the cheese, so that every bite you enjoyed the chili as well. We also received the complimentary chips and salsa, the salsa was firey as we had been told and was really very good. I wanted to try something different, so I picked the pork gorditias, which were "thicken taco" They were okay, nothing that sparked a second try from me. We did received the sopapillas' with honey after the meal and overall, I thought it was a fairly good ending to a long day of travel. Perhaps not the best Mexican food, I have had, but still a good attempt.
