I would recommend this hotel for a short stay, but not for those planning a staycation of more than two days, as you might not get to fully enjoy the facilities. I also experienced poor treatment from one of the F&B staff, who showed an attitude during dinner. I understand that people can be tired, but I wish she had maintained a more professional demeanor.

We enjoyed the max at premium water chalet The breakfast super Night view from the room was fantastic. Only one disappointment is they didn't explain me about the voucher for sunset. It's was free because we took premium. Once check out only I get to know it's free wasted my free voucher for sunset. Other overall super and fantastic. Will come again

The highlight of our stay was definitely the swimming pool and beach—my kids couldn’t get enough of it! We had a wonderful stay at the Avillion Hotel! The location was perfect—close to town and easy to access. My room was clean and cozy and the bed was very comfortable. However, the bathroom needs some improvement, as the walls weren’t thoroughly cleaned and looked a bit dirty. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had a wide variety of options. Overall, The hotel features a charming design, though it feels a bit dated and requires updates, especially in the bathrooms.

Dated hotel..furnitures and room made of wood, need upgrades. We got room 520, Goa side at first.. door malfunction when we open it. Bit hard to open, need to be careful. Wooden blinds as well, heavy n dated too. Called reception n ask for room change.Change to room 604, near the avi lounge, Cochin side. Better room, upgraded plastic blinds. More manageable. Tiles in bathroom are moldy, due to leak from shower i think. Thankfully the resort is not that crowded.. we have our honeymoon peacefully. The sunset viee is soooo nice. Makes it a memorable stay.

It's a shame a resort in a good location wasted its potential with mediocre services & facilities. I stayed here more than 5 years ago & things got worse since than to my latest stay on Jan '25. For a resort which claims it is 4 star in google review is in actual effect is just a 3 star. 1. Entire place look run down. Flora and fauna are overgrown in some places. Walking paths are not well kept. 2. Furniture in the room are old and falling apart. Sides are chipped with scratches. Some parts of them are peeling. 3. Curtains are torn in places. Telephone didn't work in the room. TV remote didn't work either. There was no bathrobes in the room. 4. The idea of having a heavy rolling blind is not practical. Those with joints pains like me can't pull or release the heavy blinds. The release mechanisms are placed in an awkward position. 5. Staff are clueless. I asked the staff where is our room (since the place is big) and she was lost! Imagine a staff cannot direct us to our room. Incompetency rules. 6. Smiling and putting their hands on the chest to greet guest is not enough. This is a resort and guests expect well trained staff anywhere in the resort to cater to whims & fancies of the guests. 7. Animals (birds) in the dining area (breakfast place) must not be allowed at all times. Saw peacocks running around. Hygiene must be high on the list especially with bird dropping which can cause health problems. 8. This is an international resort & it's not cheap to stay here. Apart from the mundane activities like tracking & some sea activities, the resort should make the stay pleasurable for guest. Swimming pools alone are not enough. There is no proper bars and fun place to hang out with a book and a beer in hand. Seems alcohol is limited to one or two, uninviting places and not available at all times. PD is a small town. Guests like me wish to experience the luxuries & comforts of the hotel, in the hotel itself to relax, than running around PD for other things to do (nothing else much to do in PD anyway). 9. Avillion is NOT a luxury place as advertised on the website. The local hotel operators scream about Malaysians going to Thailand & Indonesia for holidays. Yes, the service quality, F&B, amenities and other services are beyond what is provided in Malaysia, including the affordability. Luxury isn't just a word. It comes from the services, amenities and the experiences offered. Definitely not a place for me to recommend to others.

We picked water chalet for room. The room was nice and clean though felt a bit dated; lighting was low at night so couldn't do much reading; the lapping of the waves was great and soothing at night under you, but there really wasn't much of a view of the sea as we were facing other water chalet rooms - this was the biggest disappointment for us (I would think only the premium water chalets get proper sea view). The staff was friendly and helpful. There was an option of private (much smaller) and public beach access for us so that was good. A separate adults only swimming pool was good as there were way too many kids around, being a family friendly hotel. Peahens walking about while you're having breakfast was cute. Only 1 karaoke room was available when we were there as the others were being serviced. Walking distance via beach to La Playa which is probably the most happening place at night in PD.

My family has been coming here ever since I was a child, it used to be a pretty good and chill resort to get away too. Nowadays, the service has gone downhill, the rooms are not taken care of properly, and there aren’t enough staff to handle the amount of luggage some families come with. This recent stay has been the worst it has come, but writings were already on the wall the previous time we’ve been here. First off, housekeeping did not make sure everything was clean and ready for us. We found a balloon under the bed from the previous guest. There was some oily substance on the floor under the desk where the TV was. The air conditioner started freezing up in the middle of the night making hot air to come out instead. Maintenance came around and said we had to change our room, whilst allowing the air conditioner to spout the ice out, whilst WE ARE STILL IN THE ROOM. All these complaints would make you think the next course of action is to immediately provide us with a new room. Instead we have to wait until 12pm for one to be ready for us. For the price we paid to stay here, the standards do not match. We aren’t asking for everything to be perfect, but we expect our comfort to be main objective of any resort or hotel.
