One can be forgiven stepping into beachside dining establishments to not reliably expect great food, as the selling point is generally the wonderful vista…however with Avoca Beach House, you have it all!!! We sat on the balcony overlooking Avoca beach on a lovely winter day for lunch. The atmosphere was very chill and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. The food was FANTASTIC. We did predominantly ordered seafood, with the signature seafood platter. The fish and chips were sensational, easily one of the best I’ve had (perfectly fried, great batter). To boot, the drinks menu was very reasonable I thought if you ordered by the bottle. Thank you for a fantastic dining experience!

Lovely beachside spot with stunning views —perfect for brunch, lunch, or a date. We went on a Saturday for lunch during a public holiday and booked just 30 minutes ahead. The atmosphere was great, but we waited nearly an hour for our food, possibly because we were a group and the place was quite busy. We had the salt and pepper calamari to start—slightly salty but better with the dipping sauce. I ordered the beef steak, which was nicely cooked, tender, and quite a generous portion. Overall, a beautiful location with decent food. Just be prepared for a wait during busy times.

We recently hosted our baby's Christening party at Avoca Beach House and were blown away by the experience! The food was amazing, with fresh seafood and great seasoning, and the service was fast and friendly. The views were stunning. We loved it so much that we came back again after the party and had the same great experience. Highly recommend!

We recently held a corporate lunch function at Avoca Beach House & it was nothing short of amazing! The staff were incredibly helpful through the planning process, and of course on the day of the function. The food was amazing, service was wonderful & the location is incredible. Couldn't fault it... Would highly recommend holding a function at Avoca Beach House :)

On a cold winter night, we popped down to the Avoca Beach House for my wife's birthday dinner. A very quiet evening for the restaurant with only one other table present when we arrived. We booked at 7pm and arrived on time. Notwithstanding the small numbers the young lady serving us was efficient and did not hurry us at all throughout the evening. We enjoyed a lovely bowl of olives (huge) and some focaccia before enjoying a perfectly grilled scotch fillet, stunning smash whole potatoes, fresh green beans and a beautiful sauce. We then ordered the chocolate mouse and sticky date pudding to finish out the night. One last comment, the wine prices were very reasonable, and the selection was more than adequate covering a good range of grape varietals and regions. We tried this venue 3 years ago and had a poor experience. after last night we will be returning on a regular basis. Well done team.

A great view, lovely staff and beautiful food. We came as a group of four ex-colleagues wanting to catch up with some good food and cocktails and this place delivered. The staff were obliging for the annoying, ‘could you take a photo for us,’ etc etc. The tapas plates were beautiful and the view of the beach was great. For a Sunday we were all surprised to get nearby parking without problems. Definitely would recommend and come back again.

Our initial dining experience was exceptional, highlighted by a delightful seafood platter for lunch. The attentive and helpful service provided by our servers further enhanced our enjoyment. The food quality was outstanding and represented exceptional value. We hope you keep the seafood platter at a bargain price.

I know the lead up to Christmas is a busy time, but that does not change the fact the customers are there to enjoy the experience of a meal at a beachfront location. When I made the booking I accepted that we only had the table for 90 minutes but the reality was that we were totally rushed and were out of the door in under 45 minutes. We were give a small table for 2 on the balcony with a row of tables between us and the view. It was like we just ordered the food and we were out the door. We ordered a number of dishes that came to a pretty larger value so there was no excuse for wanting the table back so fast. The dishes came out so fast that there was no room on the table to place them and we had to rush the food to clear plates to make space. Most of the food was pretty average, the foccacia in particular was more like a scone than the bread it should be. The zucchini flowers were really oily. Every 5 minutes we were being asked if we wanted some drinks, even though I had explained that we did not want any cocktails or other alcoholic drinks and wanted to stay with the bottled water (was not even bottled it was filtered) that we had paid for. It seemed like the staff had been instructed to push the cocktails. When I asked for more of the "bottled" water I had to chase it up with 3 people before it eventually arrived. It is a pity, the location is great and the view is relaxing.
