I Went here for my birthday in September!! I called in for a reservation last minute the week of for 13 people and the owner was so nice. He accommodated all of us and gave us such a great service! We had a great time overall! The food was so delicious. The vibes were just right great spot to come hang out, chill and sip with your friends. I will surely be coming back again!!

We had a great time as Avoca. It’s been a local spot that’s been open for a few years but this was our first time going. Ambiance: We sat outside as the weather was really nice and Avoca has great outdoor seating. We sat in the front - they have a nice section where you can feel like you’re part of the street crowd but also semi private. Note: They also have a garden patio in the back in case front seating is full. Food/Drinks: We got mocktails and NA beer. I loved that the menu clearly stated which cocktails could be made into a mocktail. They were also willing to work with our flavor profile and make us a mocktail based on what we wanted. For food, we got the fried mushroom. It was pretty good and the sauce was a nice compliment for it. I do wish the mushroom was cut to smaller sizes - it would have allowed for less breading and a crispier fry. We also got the curry cauliflower - unfortunately, it was disappointing for us. It felt way too sour and there wasn’t a lot of flavor to it other than that. The truffle fries were really good and a great snack. Service: Everyone was friendly and nice. We sat there for about 3 hours and they didn’t rush us. They came and checked on us often. Price: Everything was reasonable priced. Mocktails were about $10 which I think is a fair price. First of all Giovanni was AMAZING as our waiter! The food was fresh and extremely tasteful. I had the scallops with the butternut risotto and I was so impressed by the risotto alone! Definitely coming back for bottomlesss dinner!!!

Avoca was good but nothing blew me away. The food tasted fine and their menu has enough variety although it can leave you wanting a little more. My only complaint is that I ordered their Avoca “Smash” Burger only to receive a regular double patty burger with barely melted cheese. Had I’d known it wasn’t a smash burger I would have stated my cook temperature as the patties were a little too close to well done for my liking. The chicken fried mushrooms were a nice dish that I would recommend as a shared appetizer for a table. Not sure if I would venture back for dinner, maybe a brunch one weekend.

We celebrated my dog Tobi’s 5th birthday at Avoca yesterday, and honestly, it was such a great experience. We were a group of five plus three dogs, and the staff was incredibly accommodating. They even brought out dog beds and water bowls for the pups, which I thought was the sweetest touch. There was a small hiccup when we first got there, but the manager and staff handled it so well and made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. By the time we sat down, we really felt welcomed. The food was great, the vibe was nice, and the service made the whole day feel special. We’ll definitely be going back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a truly dog-friendly spot!

As someone who loves a good deal in the city, this girl dinner was such an amazing experience and time all thanks to TikTok ! Me and my best friend loved the pricing(✨35 dollar GirlDinner✨), the food, and the drinks were tasty! The staff were so friendly and welcoming! My biggest green flag was that this was a dog friendly bar which holds a special place in my heart!!

The food and drinks were phenomenal. Our server, Giovanni, gave us fantastic recommendations. I ended up getting the seared scallops that he recommended and it's now one of my favorite dishes ever. Giovanni is also such a funny and charismatic person. Will definitely come back again.

I had my birthday party in the back patio and it was the best decision!! The place is really nice, specially the patio! The staff is beyond amazing and with the BEST attitude! The food was also great as well as the variety of drinks! Kevin was our waiter and was simply the best like the rest of the staff! And last but not least Rory, the owner, was always responsive and accommodating throughout the whole process! Thanks Avoca for the best birthday party!!

Came in for dinner during the week, everything was great, food, drinks, staff. Our server Makayla was the best and checked in on us just the right amount. We'll definitely be back!

We recently hosted an engagement celebration for 45 people at Avoca. I can't say enough about the quality of the food and the support that the restaurant provided. Rory was so responsive/thoughtful in organizing this event for us. The rest of the staff was also gracious and helpful. We pre-ordered some plattered food items to put out for the guests and it was delicious. Kudos to Rory and Avoca. We can't wait for a return visit.

Unlimited brunch- Why is everything so good!!! Got the Avoca breakfast with truffle fries and my best friend got the Egg Slut and these drinks are to goood! We love a good brunch that serves more than mimosas , definitely coming back!

I had the veggie burger. It was good. I'm still hungry though. A decent espresso martini that was served pretty much as soon as I ordered. Great much and festive vibes.

Stopped here on a whim after taking my dog to the park. I was looking for a dog friendly option but keep in mind the dog open inclusive spaces here are outside in front or on the patio in the back if you want to be seated with your fur baby. The interaction with the host though was odd I asked to be seated and instead of him letting me know more about the dog friendly seating he asked if my dog was a service animal. She is, then he asked if I had "paperwork" for her. Service animals don't require paperwork which I let him know. I also didn't want to sit inside because it was too tight so I opted to sit outside to enjoy the unseasonably good weather. My waitress Merit was friendly and helpful with all the questions I had. I ordered two cocktails but no food, I wasn't really hungry. Both drinks were off the menu and good. I ordered noodle something off of the dog menu and she ate all of it.

My company had their holiday party in the back room, which was a little chilly but nicely decorated with a cozy feel. For drinks, I opted for Shirley Temple, Tamarind Mocktail, and mixture of Juices. The Shirley Temple was sweet, refreshing, and nicely fizzy. I wasn't really a fan of the Tamarind Mocktail though. It left a weird aftertaste. We had some shared appetizers of Buffalo Chicken dip with Crostini and Crudités, Chicken Tenders, Pigs in a Blanket, and Mushroom Quiche. The Buffalo Chicken dip was full of bold flavor and really tasty with the crispy bread. Chicken Tenders were satisfyingly crunchy and succulent. Pigs in a Blanket was decent as well, with juicy little hot dogs and soft bread all around. For my entree, I ordered the Salmon with lemon beurre blanc, along with Forbidden Rice and vegetables. The Salmon was slightly crispy, lightly charred, tender, and well seasoned. The sauce was creamy smooth with such lovely, nuanced lemony and white wine flavor. The rice was wild rice mixed with white and black. It was well seasoned and cooked well. The vegetables included broccolini and carrots. I got to try the Parmesan Truffle Fries, which were delightfully crunchy, with plenty of cheese and truffle taste. Service was good. The servers were friendly and on top of it. I would be open to returning to try the Avoca Ultimate Smashburger (served with bacon and fried egg).

My friends and I went to Avoca on a Thursday for happy hour. They have a gossip girl bottomless dinner special. To participate in the unlimited drinks, you need to purchase an entree, sandwich, or salad. When I arrived, it was pretty packed. I was happy to get a table right by the door. I was the first one to arrive. When my friends arrived, we were informed that everyone needed to participate in the bottomless dinner special. We decided to participate in the special. I ordered a sandwich and started with a Gossiptini to drink. I liked that you could change your drink. After the first drink I went to the Margarita, and I also tried the Mimosas. I realized after trying all of these drinks. I don't like the drinks at Avoca. None of the drinks were good.

I came for a friend's birthday brunch, I had the Avoca burger and everything was great. I loved the decor and music choices. Our service was also great.

I went to Avoca for dinner, but I would not recommend this place just for dinner. The music was very loud and it was a very bar vibe (not bad but not what I expected). This place is great for drinks and some bites. I got a watermelon cocktail that I didn't love, and a veggie burger and fried mushrooms that I did love. If looking for a bar, I would go here again.

Great boozy brunch! Friendly, attentive staff, fabulous food and excellent drinks. So fun seeing the dogs coming and going. I cannot wait to go back. A hidden gem.

Nice find in the UES for brunch. We got lucky with a table in the back garden. The menu has a bunch of options that sound good. We got the egg slutt and the avoca all American. I don't think you can go wrong here. Simple things like bacon, eggs, potatoes, and toast taste better here than you could imagine.

One of my new favorite brunch spots! I loveeee Dominican breakfast so the Tres Golpes is my favorite. I love that they have a variety for bottomless as well. Spicy marg and skinny marg are definitely my go-tos. My servers have always been wonderful. The bartender wasn't great the last time I went but everything else made up for it. If you don't like dogs I would not recommend lol. There are always plenty there, they have a whole menu for them:)

Solid wine bar in Yorkville with great food options as well. They have a good selection of drinks and a cozy, neighborhood ambiance. Worth a visit!

It's ok. I like the drinks and burgers but can't say I enjoy the fish much. It's just a normal bowl of poke with tad bit too much vinegar. The grain was very loose.

Loved the beet salad... great ambiance. Fantastic service. Will be back again. I also appreciate the doggie love.

Wend to Avoca without a reservation on a Saturday morning, we were grateful to get a table without having to wait too long; but then the table turned out to be in the aisle between the entrance to the kitchen and the bathroom on a very tight and on the way spot. I feel like that table should not exist at all since it was just a risk of getting hit by trays and being uncomfortably on the way. For food, I had a coffee, a single mimosa (bottomless is also an option but was not feeling it at the time) and the avocado toast which was delicious and very filling. The service was polite but a bit slow , which is expected given how packet the restaurant was on a Saturday morning. Would recommend and be back , with a reservation next time!

My friends and I came here for the Gossip Girl bottomless dinner, which offers unlimited selected cocktails and drinks for just $35 with the purchase of an entrée--a fantastic deal! I ordered the roasted Atlantic salmon, and it was absolutely delicious; I highly recommend it. It came a delicious lemon sauce on the side. The cocktails were enjoyable as well; the spicy margarita had a nice kick, and the Gossiptini was perfectly balanced, not too sweet. Unfortunately, I have to deduct a star for the service. We felt rushed out of our reservation, even though we were eager to order more cocktails and bottles of wine after the bottomless dinner ended. The staff member who attended to us was quite abrupt, which left a sour note on an otherwise great food.

Great service and food. Love Taco Tuesday! Dog friendly as well. Burger night on Wednesday is also great.

I can't believe it's taken me so long to submit this review. I came here for dinner with some girlfriends and had such an amazing experience. We were seated right as we walked in and were lead through to the back patio. Our server was so friendly and made excellent recommendations. I wish I remembered her name but she was very funny and clearly enjoyed her job. Cocktails were on point, the fried mushrooms were the table favorite with the mac n cheese was the close second. I definitely need to come back soon!

Great local spot to hangout with friends. My group of 10 enjoyed the patio seating in the back. They have an awesome deal Wednesdays after 7PM where their smash burger is pretty much half off and only $12 for a solid burger and fries. They have a good list of draft beers on tap as well as tasty aesthetic cocktails. Our server was very friendly and checked on us often. The owner actually sent our table a free round of cocktail shots. Place is dog friendly and even has a dog food menu. Will definitely be back.

Giovanna was an amazing waiter he did his Thang durning brunch. He checked on us frequently during brunch and made sure our brunch experience was great getting refills and checking in on service. I wouldn't one again and recommend friends and family fyi I came during brunch for birthday bunch fyi I appreciated his beautiful curls. Fyi I went during October and they had in door and outdoor which was lovely.

The food..the drinks..the atmosphere..the people! This is the first place ever where I had an overall great time! But the real the real gem was Louise! She gave the best service I've ever received! She was attentive but also sweet! She made us feel so welcomed! And also informed us that we can bring our dogs! She really gave the best service EVER! Went to Avoca for their Gossip Girl Bottomless Dinner! It was a great time and highly recommend. Our waiter Giovani took care of us our entire time. We will deff be back.

Ordered: Bottomless Brunch (~$30 for 90 mins): with purchase of brunch entree Breakfast Burger (~$23) + Truffle Fries (+$2): double patty, cheese, avocado (subbed out bacon), Avoca aioli, and fried egg on toasted brioche bun Aya's take: As a New Yorker, I'm proud to say I've found the best bottomless brunch in the city! The bottomless drink selection, awesome servers (shout out to Yurisley), and solid brunch dishes made this an incredible experience. In the span of 1.5 hours, we really got our money's worth and had a blast. All the drinks were also delicious and I just appreciated how it was something other than mimosas, bellinis, and bloody Mary's. Other brunch spots need to take notes. For the amount of drinks I had, the Breakfast Burger was pretty solid since it was dense, tasty, and satisfying. If you've read this far and haven't made a reservation yet, what are you doing!

Really cute restaurant that's dog friendly! Food is good. Drinks are great. We came here for happy hour with my coworkers. We sat outside which was really nice because the weather was good and it wasn't too loud. The vegetarian options were very delicious. I got the poke bowl which was a bit too salty for my taste. The drinks were great though. I came here a couple of weeks prior just for dinner and we were seated inside and it was way too loud to hear myself or talk to anyone. We eventually had to move to another restaurant. It think it would've been fine if it was happy hour but we came to sit down and catch up with a friend who came from out of town.

Great brunch!!! $35 additional bottomless with cocktails and regular brunch drinks. All breakfast food plus a burger. So good! highly recommend! Also has bottomless dinner. Great service! Back patio is nice! Also has outdoor dining on sidewalk. Indoors is very nice.

Had a drink and appetizer at the bar last night. I've been here many times and the place has a nice vibe but a recurring theme is the bartenders are inattentive and not very friendly, even when sitting right in front of them. They seem very busy struggling to keep up with making the mixed cocktails. I ordered the roasted cauliflower bites and they weren't hot or crispy so I believe they were sitting around for a while before they were picked up and served. The place has potential, but staff training and customer service needs much improvement. It was pretty energetic there but maybe the mostly millennial crowd doesn't care too much about the service. Not sure why I keep coming here but maybe it's because I live down the block.

I had my birthday party on the back patio at Avoca last weekend, and it was so great! The food, drinks and service (and playlist!) were excellent. It was the perfect amount of space for the group -- we were 25 people but there was room for probably double that. There was no cover charge or minimum to reach for our numbers. I preordered some platters of food for the group which were delicious and actually pretty huge! We were having so much fun that we moved inside to the bar to continue the night. Can't wait to go back for a more lowkey dinner soon!

Great birthday experience for my wife. Staff was kind and attentive. Would recommend for a weekday happy hour and will be back down the line for dinner.

Avoca has been in the neighborhood for a while now but I just got around to going last week for my birthday brunch. I went with two of my oldest friends. We were all excited to try it out. I had eggs be edict with ham since they could not do it with spinach. My friends had the eggs and lox, and the Croque Monsieur. We each had a drink too. I had a mimosa and my friends had the bloody mary and the Bellini. We all enjoyed our meals and drinks. The only downside to this place is the noise level. This is a small place so it gets loud easily.

Great bar with fun vibes. It's small but lively and the drinks and bartenders are great. I came for a large party and they have a decently priced open bar option. Their spicy marg on tap is dangerously delicious. They make a mean mojito too. As for the food I was way past the point of sobriety to comment much but the salad, mac and cheese, and truffle fries came in clutch.

Avoca has a trendy vibe yet also feels comfortable and full of locals. After sitting down, the owner welcomed us, and we immediately felt at home. Fast and helpful service made this experience even better. The food was delicious! I had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. The eggs were light, fluffy, and melted as you ate them. We added on the all you could drink brunch special. Make sure to try the brunch punch, refreshing with a kick. You can switch through the drink options so that you can taste the whole menu. Tip - It did get loud and hard to hear toward the end of the meal, it's not the best spot for guests who need a quieter atmosphere.

Had a fabulous time at Avoca! Recently hosted by 35th birthday in the back patio. It was super spacious for about 25 people. Rory was excellent in coordinating food for the event. Staff were super sweet on the day of the event and managing food and drinks. Don't walk...run to host your next event at Avoca! I promise you won't be sorry

This was our second visit in five days. We went at first because we heard it was dog friendly-- but went back because it's also VERY customer friendly!! Our server, Emily, is a lovely, articulate young woman who was so generous with her time and conversation. (I'd rave more about her but this is a review of Avoca after all) We had the Eloté for the second time because it's awesome! Seasoned to perfection and full corn cobs! No gloppy sauce (I know some like that but we preferred the cheese-crusted corn cobs-- lighter and easier to eat) The Caesar salad was also delicious; the croutons were crunchy and added a nice kick to the dressing, which had a hint of sweetness--another culinary innovation. It so happened that Tuesdays are taco nights, so we had three street tacos each: "Al carbón"- steak--and shredded pork (barbacoa). So much food!! We have snacks for tomorrow. But we must add, that not only is Avoca a lovely eatery/ pub, with a nice patio which provides dog friendly service, but the dog menu is epic!! Our Frenchie enjoyed the doggie meatloaf... (we saved some as a treat for tomorrow) and we felt good about letting her have a healthy entree of her own. All at very reasonable prices!! (We're thinking of trying the brunch next-- the French toast looks amazing!!) Thank you!!!

I came here for Brunch and it was a really cute spot. The bottomless brunch was only $30 and included a variety of drinks. Their backyard space is really nice, spacious, and decorated really nice. The service was really good, they kept the drinks coming and brought the food out in a reasonable time and we were a group of 10 or 12. The tres golpes is actually really good, I wish I had ordered that. The portions are large so you can share it. I ordered the french toast and I didnt love it. There was an overwhelming amount of yogurt on it and I could not eat it. Otherwise, no complaints. I recommend if you want good music and cute pictures.

Avoca is a great restaurant and bar. I came here for dinner with friends. I ordered the Avoca Smashburger. The flavors in the burger were simply delicious, making it a dish I wholeheartedly suggest giving a try. Additionally, I was impressed by the attentive service provided during our meal, which added to the overall positive experience.

Recently hosted a birthday event at Avoca and it was fantastic. Great service, great prices, and great vibe. All my guests had the best time. I'm also a regular at Avoca for dinner and brunch and would highly recommend!

I came here for a "private" party on a weekend. The set-up was weird (I was not the host of the party); the party was in a back terrace space, but the party had to stand in a cramped middle space and try to order drinks while other guests sat at tables around us and had full meals. I don't know why anyone would set up a restaurant this way and especially an "event space." Due to the number of people, it was very crowded and loud. The service was also bad, as the waiters were more concerned with getting food and drinks to the tables on the back terrace and not with our party standing around. We were told to just order on an app and hope our drinks would come 20 minutes later. I will say that the terrace area was cute to look at, but there were bugs (I guess that's what you get for being outside). The drinks were just okay - not anything special or inventive given the price. I didn't experience anything at Avoca that would make me want to return.

This is a small restaurant with a cute vibe and good music! High top or low tables are available. They have an option for bottomless brunch drinks for 90 mins for $29.95. Everyone enjoyed their food! I had plenty of smoked salmon left over. Scrambled Eggs were cooked well-- nice and fluffy! :) Ps. Can get pretty noisy in there!

One of my most very places. The food is always good, so many delicious drinks, and amazing staff. Avoca has the best music and energy. We had a swiftie birthday party for a friend and the owner, manager, and all the waitress staff was INCREDIBLE. So helpful! Will be back soon and again and again!

Have been here a couple times and can say the food is good- recommend their smash burger if it is still on the menu. More importantly booked a bigger party table and the organization and logistics went smoothly which is a big plus for this place, in that they are reliable. That said once there the service was a little inattentive. Net/net good spot would recommend and has good food.

Hidden gem in Yorkville! The back patio was the perfect spot for a small celebration and everyone had a great time. The food and drinks were great and even the play list was spot on! Rory was easy to work with and many from my group said they look forward to going back.

This place is probably great on non-rainy, warm days. For some reason, even though the whole front of the restaurant was open, we were sat in the back, which is enclosed but with many openings in the ceiling. The roof is tin and the rain hitting it was so loud that we couldn't hear each other talking. And because it was cold outside, we were cold. That being said- the food and drink were delicious and very reasonably priced. I'd come back on a nice day. Our waitress did go kind of MIA at the end and it took over a half hour of waiting and us finally flagging someone down to get the check. And the place wasn't busy- we were one of two parties in our area.

My husband and I came here to try their Happy Hour deals. It was a sweltering 90+ degree day and we walked into a hot restaurant. They had the doors wide open, but there was no breeze and they didn't have their A/C on. I can understand if it was a nice breezy day, but it was so uncomfortable to dine in there. The HH drinks are reasonably priced with specials on beer, wine and margaritas. Unfortunately, the margaritas were weak and not worth it. The taco deal (3 for $10) they have is good and we actually enjoyed them so much we ended up ordering 6 tacos each. The veggie taco was surprisingly my favorite and I enjoyed the texture of the taco shells. In an area where there are a ton of great restaurants, I don't think I would return for HH. I would come back to try their other cocktails, but if their margarita is any indication of the alcohol content...I'll pass.
