Nestled on the picturesque Town Square of Gainesville, GA, Avocados is a Bistro styled restaurant that has an industrial motif interspersed with Christian and positive quotes on the walls to foster an air of welcome and reflection.
I stopped by for lunch and was able to park in the shade of the free town parking deck only a block or two away, sheltering my car and myself from the blistering Georgia sun.
I was immediately seated, and my server, Erica, did a wonderful job.
I asked for her recommendations on what would be the best salad, and she went over the ingredients for all, then recommended the Artisan Salad because she said the Cilantro Vinaigrette was really good.
I opted to have salmon added to my salad, even though it made my salad $22. A little pricey compared to similar salads I've had elsewhere, so I was pleasantly surprised when the salad presented to me made it worth every penny!
First off, the beautiful piece of grilled salmon was the largest I've ever had served on a salad. After cutting it all up into bite sized pieces, there was a morsel or tasty salmon in every bite.
As I hate eating dry lettuce when I'm eating "rabbit food", Emily obliged me by bringing me extra servings of the very good dressing.
It was truly the best and most enjoyable Salmon salad I've ever had, and I've had it many times at other places. I regret not taking a photo of it when it came out, but trust me, it presents well with the beautiful greens, nice pieces of bread, and the aforementioned large cut of grilled salmon.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first meal at Avocados, and will surely be back.
Emily even made recommendations for my wife and myself when we return, telling us the Quinoa Salad at Dinner is remarkable when paired with chicken.
I'm already looking forward to that opportunity.
