Beyond the Trees Avondale

Our visit to Beyond The Trees was a last minute decision but it turned out to be a favorite on our recent trip to Ireland! (We visited it after our trip to the old Avoca woolen mill) What a great experience! You enjoy the scenery as you walk among the treetops- (with an amazing vantage point at the top of the Spirial!) and then get a quick and thrilling ride down the slide at the end! We loved it!!

This place offers a superb experience for families and friends. Kids will also enjoy it. The top has very nice scenery, and there’s a sliding tunnel there. There is a entry ticket of €16 PP in addition they charge €2 per ride(optional), but if you’re planning to slide, you can collect the sliding sheet at the ground level while walking up. It’s a great experience for kids, and it looks very safe.

Very impressive park for all ages. Lots of walking trails in the woods with some extraordinary views! The tree stand is great as well! Kids would love it here. Highly recommended!

An brilliant experience. Amazing views from the top and the Slide is a must. Food in the Cafe was top nosh and the coffee from the coffee shop was passable. Only slight negative is the playground area. For the amount of kids and families visiting its quite small (2 baby swings, 2 regular swings, 1 seesaw, 1 slide that requires a rope bridge crossing, which is not ideal for smaller kids and 1 larger slide that requires a wall climb, which is also not ideal for smaller kids).

Thought it would be just a small elevated wooden walkway but was very pleasantly surprised. Views above the trees were superb and there were quite a few little learning centers around the walk. The large circular walkway at the end was marvellous and easy to ascend with great views at the top. The optional slide down was a bonus and good value at 2 euros. Gets busy at weekends so pre booking would probably be advised but weekdays were much quieter. Really enjoyed the attraction and grounds but felt the fixed parking fee of 6 euros was a bit steep. Excellent day out for all the family. There are lots of different things to do no matter the age. The place is really clean, including the toilets for the number of visitors attending. Tho the slide down the viewing tower itself could have been free rather than having to pay an additional 2€ per person on top of the 42€ for our family.

Kids loved the Smurf village, playground and although they were raring to go on slide we couldn't (one adult, two kids plus buggy - didn't add up). Had a blast and a lovely day for strolling around and seeing the treetop views.

We got a deal on Rory's travel for this trip. The tickets are quite expensive for what you get. To go on the slide you have to pay €2 per person and i feel this should be included in the ticket price. The cafe was also nice, a little expensive but does the job. Overall a nice experience and worth the trip for the views especially on a clear day!
