Awesome Coffee Ktown

Easily one of my favorite shops. Such a cozy atmosphere. Drinks are good. Food is good. My only gripe is the outlets kinda suck. It's super easy for your plug to fall out of them but accident.

I’m giving Anytime Coffee five stars because I really love the place! One suggestion for the owner, though: I noticed some people with outside cups or snacks, which can throw off the vibe. Since you’ve got nice glassware and teapots, maybe encouraging all paying customers to use them could help. Plus, it’ll keep the place less crowded and more welcoming for actual paying customers!🙏🙏

This place is cool. I’ve been coming here for years. Occasionally, this place is packed with students, working professionals, and/or regular people with their friends/loved ones, etc, which makes seating can be hard to find sometimes. The coffee is average. I don’t agree with the prices especially for a cappuccino. $7+ (since I added vanilla syrup) The espresso machines pulls out two shots, yet they will only add 1 shot of espresso in your latte/cappuccino, etc. That means to me they rather charge you for every shot. I understand prices are going up, but it’s too costly and it is the reason why I barely come. Also, parking is hard to find because it is in a plaza filled with restaurants. The view, however, is beautiful.

I had such a great experience at Awesome Coffee! The drinks were super fresh and balanced — you can tell they really care about quality. The service was fast, warm, and welcoming, and the staff made the whole visit feel extra nice. The ambiance is cozy, clean, and perfect for studying, relaxing, or just grabbing a quick pick-me-up. Definitely one of my new favorite spots in the area. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed this place. The service was warm and attentive. The staff made me feel welcome right away. The atmosphere is calm and cozy, and the music is at a perfect volume so you can talk or work without distraction. The coffee tastes fresh and well balanced. You can tell they care about quality. This is horrible! The milkshake consists of milk, syrup and crushed ice!!!! (I didn't even taste the ice cream) This is shocking, I've never tasted anything worse in my life, who adds ice to a milkshake!? And this is at a price of about $10! The owner of the establishment saves on everything, forbids the staff to turn on the air conditioning! This is horrible! Greetings and thanks to the staff. Russian-speaking girls work there.P.S. The strawberry matcha latte was the highlight for me. The matcha tasted smooth and not too bitter, and the strawberry added a sweet, refreshing twist without overpowering it. It was creamy, well-balanced, and easy to enjoy from the first sip to the last. I’d happily order it again.

I really enjoyed this coffee shop. The baristas were very friendly and welcoming. My latte tasted amazing — smooth, creamy, and not too sweet. The place is clean, cozy, and perfect for studying or taking a break. I will definitely come back!

After eating dinner in ktown, we were looking to see what would be a good way to end the night for my belated birthday celebration. Eventually I decided on checking this place out as the aesthetics and vibes were what I was feeling that night. The coffee shop is located in a small corner plaza in koreatown. You'll either be lucky with parking or have to find street parking nearby. There's also a valet at the plaza but I think that's mainly for the restaurant there. Upon entering, it is very much like a college student study cafe area. It's moderately decorated to look like a reading area in one corner, the rest looking modern for the folks who want to get work done. Despite the small area, I think the spacing allotted per table was just right as it didn't feel too cramped. I ordered a simple latte to end the night on a good note. Not too expensive overall for the cup, and my friend got the matcha affogato which tasted pretty good to them too.

It has potential, but I kinda stopped going bcoz the MENU IS SO OUTDATED, even one cashier agreed with me and she gets some comments from repeat customers that the menu is so stale. The owner is a young entrepreneur, but he's so simple minded where doesn't think of evolving the concept of his business even the menu. No new or seasonal drinks / or any new menu entree Also - the serving amount of drinks got downsized. Too bad bcoz the ambiance is so delightful and sitting next to window glass with overlooking view of the street corner is unmatched compare to other similar cafes !

Probably the first late night coffee shop I've found. Being a night owl, always love to find somewhere that caters to those who stay up a bit later than the average person - they don't close until 2am. You'll find some great drinks here. Their matcha latte stays true to the matcha flavor while also being super refreshing with the lemonade. A delicious, light choice. Their strawberry matcha latte was also tasty - richer and more decadent - good for someone with a sweeter tooth. Didn't grab food, but they had a great selection of food if you're hungry or plan to stay a bit longer. We came after midnight, and it was still packed. We got the last available table. So definitely a more popular place for meeting up and getting work done. Drinks are a bit pricier. Overall, a good choice for coffee and getting down last minute work done.

Open super late and at the late hours, the plaza still had parking which is a plus in K-town. Despite it being a Wednesday night, it was a packed house of people hanging out, working, or studying. Huge vibe shift from other areas, I'm sure. The cafe itself gives a chill vibe with the warm lighting, and bookcase shelves. The worker there was polite. It just sucks that even though they're open quite late, the kitchen closes hours earlier...Maybe next time I'm in the area I can get there earlier.

Had a meeting and wanted a coffee shop that was open late. Koreatown seemed like a neutral place to meet and that's where the search engine took me. Awesome Coffee is AWESOME and located upstairs in a shopping complex. As you walk in you are welcomed into a cozy living room style set up with quaint seating, shelves of books and games. People were busy on their laptops or in conversation with one another. The barista was very nice and the menu had breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts. We ordered the strawberry matcha latte and the peanut butter latter with almond milk. I will definitely go back again.

I've come here twice now to study and have had great experiences each time! I can't speak to their pastries or drinks other than their matcha, but the study atmosphere is fantastic. I'm unsure exactly how parking works in the plaza (the cafe is upstairs) but I park across the street in the parking spot for Tom N Toms Black coffee, since it is a little more protected. There are plenty of spaces to sit, when I came here on a Saturday midday it was a little more busy but on a Saturday morning, you can definitely get a corner to yourself. There are some nicer sofa chairs, as well as spaces along their window. The wifi is free and easy to use, and there are many outlets for you to use. There is plenty of natural lighting as well from the large windows. My only regret is that I forgot my laptop charger one of the times I was here. The matcha latte is not the most concentrated but still a great taste and not too watered down, I always get it iced but my friend's hot version came with cute latte art in a mug. The service was great and my drink did not take long to come out. The pricing is pretty standard for cafe drinks these days, and isn't absurd. I would definitely come again if I need to get some work done.

the coffee was amazing, it's been a while since i've gone but the service was great and the baristas were kind, it's a very cute little coffee shop, rather hidden, but it was definitely worth trying!

With my continued search of finding good study spots, I stopped by Awesome Coffee. This is located on the second floor. There is an available parking lot shared with other businesses. I went around 10 am on a Saturday and it wasn't busy at the time. For the interior, it felt more spacious compared to how it looked outside. There were many seats for small groups to single seating by the window. There were outlets available primarily near the window. There's also free WiFi with the code available at the front register. It was good and reliable connection. The noise level was mainly low, but could be moderate when the staff was using their machine. For my order, I was craving something sweeter that day. I decided to get a Horchata latte with oat milk. It was definitely a sweet drink. You'll like this drink if you have a sweet tooth. The drink was ready within 5 minutes. If you need a restroom, there is a shared one located in the back. Note: American express is accepted.

What a pleasant spot to stop in take a breather and refresh one's self! The lighting is great and the service is tops! I ordered a matcha for me and my barber and it is delicious I recommend an iced matcha with oat milk which is expensive and the taste is amazing! No need to add anything else thank you team!

I visited on a saturday afternoon and stayed for a few hours to get some work done. Very cool vibes. Great atmosphere to just kick it with a friend or slap on your headphones and get some work or studying done. I do recommend headphones, not that it gets loud, just because it fills up fast and headphones are good for blocking out other people's conversations. Lots of outlets which is super convenient but the wifi is a bit unreliable so have your Hotspot ready (reason for my 1 star deduction). Service was great and food was great. I had avocado toast which was really good, nice and fresh, great flavor with the balsamic drizzle. Also had an iced dirty chai, which was great, and an iced passion berry tea,, which was pretty good as well. No menu complaints. I'll definitely be back to try some more menu items, a lot of it looked REALLY good. Pretty good experience overall.

In a non assuming shopping center on the 2nd floor youll find this rather large coffee house.Rather quiet like a library and littl conversation. The pasteries, coffees,teas all above average.A great meeting spot for quiet visits

Great place to study or an atmosphere to catch up with friends. Drinks and food purchases just feel like an entry fee to stay which is fine. Nothing was bad! But I felt like I had a tough time deciding what to get. Settled for hot teas which were not bad but not that great either

I liked this place. My sibling and I went here for a late night study panic session and the service was nice. Really cool that it's open till the wee hours of the night!!! Also there's a good amount of free parking. We ended up going into a second lot that was a little further from the main one. (Walking there late at night was a little spooky but also tis the night) The ambiance also great, very hip seeming. I don't know how to describe things. My sibling got a mint mocha coffee type thing (forgot to ask) but she said it was really good! I got a chicken sandwich which was also good but I don't know if it was worth the price since it's something I could've made at home. It's on me though cause it's called awesome coffee not awesome sandwiches. Also I wanted dessert (second dinner) alas alas my poor wallet we still would probably return so 5 stars

FYI: you need to spend $6+ or more to stay at the cafe. I've never heard of this absurd rule. It's funny this place is marked one $ but their menu is over priced for no reason. The man who was at the register was not friendly at all. Would love to note that this cafe is dark and dingy. For a place that's demanding guest to spend $6+ to sit down with no outlets is pretty comical. This is ktown there's so many other great options for cafes.

This day it happened to be pretty empty but I've passed by before and it's super busy. The girls in the front weren't the most inviting but got the horchata latte and it tastes like an authentic one you'd purchase at a Mexican restaurant. Highly recommend. A lot of seating, can get some work done. It's a bit pricey but would come back if I was in the area. FYI, Parking is terrible!!

Love this place. They stay open till 2am which is perfect for me since I usually end up studying late. I'll grab a coffee, find a corner table and just zone out for hours. It's quiet enough to get stuff done but not dead either. Kinda turned into my go-to midnight spot.

Really gorgeous cafe with lots of seating. Everyone here is there to study/do work, so it's a very nice, quiet space to be productive. Closes at 2am, so it's great for a late-night grind. My only concern is the wifi didn't work for me or the two others I was with. It was not crowded at the time, so I'm not sure what went wrong.

TL;DR Drinks are overpriced and not good, but really nice ambiance and studyable From a student's perspective, I would only go here if I really had to get out of the house and study late at night or for a long, long period of time. Got a matcha latte, and it was extremely watered down just tasted like milk and it was extremly overpriced. On the brightside, the ambiance here was really cozy and there was a good availability of outlets.

Awesome coffee may have been more awesome back in its heyday but not sure if it still lives up to it's name today. The Vietnamese iced coffee was...not very Vietnamese. When I ordered it, the staff member turned around and I saw her grab tall glasses of black coffee already sitting on the counter behind her. She poured the coffee into a tall glass which she rimmed with condensed milk. I was a bit concerned at how long that coffee was sitting on the counter but I took it regardless. The Vietnamese coffee was subpar, and could definitely be improved. It didn't have that strong robust taste that comes with Vietnamese iced coffee, and surprisingly even though the glass was rimmed with condensed milk, the drink didn't have that overly sweet taste that balances out the strong Vietnamese coffee. The huge positive though about why I would still come to Awesome coffee is the ample table space, a multitude of electrical outlets that are questionably plugged into one another, the dark library room aestetic, and soft jazz music that makes Awesome coffee a pretty darn good place to work remotely on your laptop. Valet parking is $3 in the little plaza, which isn't terrible for LA, but I believe it's free if you're able to just find a parking spot on your own? Someone should double check that.

Stumbled across this coffee shop while my boyfriend was getting cut at the barbershop next door. It wasn't too crowded for Saturday midday and lots of seating available! Bonus points for outlets because there were a number or people working here. Plaza parking available + tons of street parking. Decent iced matcha latte and cozy place to post-up to read. Will definitely be back and on my free work list of cafes to go to now!

Chai Latte with oat milk, not only was it aesthetically pleasing but AMAZINGLY GOOD!! 10/10

I don't usually write reviews, but this strawberry matcha is worth recommending to you. I don't come here often, but every time I order strawberry matcha. If you haven't tried it, it's really worth your attention!

This a cool spot that open til late night to come study or do some work. It is also nice to come hang with friends and or on an intimate date. There's a parking lot which is also very convenient. The coffee itself was not the best, my partner ordered an horchata latte and I ordered a peppermint mocha and they tasted exactly the same. We also ordered chocolate chip waffles, but gave us cookies instead. Luckily the cookies were pretty good. Overall the aesthetic and the convenience make this coffee shop because the coffee itself isn't something worth making the drive for.

Food: avocado toast to good service: perfect courteous Ambiance: chill cool silent. Everyone is on their computer and phones. Everyone is busy busy :)

Their strawberry matcha latte is to die for! Service is okay for the most part, I'm not sure if the girls are not that friendly or just don't speak must English. Drinks come out fast and really tasty though!! Their food is okay, pretty basic menu. I've had their waffle and it comes with a little fruit on it and maple syrup, it was pretty good but nothing special just a pretty basic waffle. The ambiance here is nice, would be a great quiet place to study in the evening or night, they also have a printer so that could be helpful for studying or late night business meetings here.

VERY CHEAP CUPS, I cut my lip on it. Went in for a Macha, ended up getting just milk and some green tea. Service was awkward, didn't ask if I wanted anything else or friendly, just neutral. $8 for milk and little green tea powder is not worth it. Ambiance was chill. I will never come here again, WARNING!

A very nice late night, coffee house with comfortable seating, free Wi-Fi and a relaxed and quiet atmosphere. Service is courteous and friendly, menu includes non-beverage items such as pastries, fresh waffles, ice cream, and parfaits. They make an unusual assortment of different beverages, including Boba and crystal Boba, and every recipe can be made "dirty "with an extra espresso shot. This is on the second floor of the mall, and sometimes the elevator is out of order, but there is a ramp system at the far east end of the mall. Otherwise two flights of stairs are required. all in all a wonderful spot that stays open till the early morning hours of 2 AM.

I visited this cafe and was disappointed with the service. As soon as I walked in, one of the staff members gave me a very unpleasant look. When my drink was ready, they neither called my name nor brought it to me. I really don't appreciate this kind of service. It's a nice spot if you want to do something quietly, but it's hard to find a seat since so many people are there studying.

This place is perfect for a small bite and is very laptop friendly with lots of outlets to plug in. The parking is gnarly which is prolly why they have a valet service. I ordered the best avocado toasts I've ever had and I make them for breakfast!

I think I found my new favorite late-night study spot! I hate it when the music at cafes and shops is loud and it makes it difficult to study but here the music is there but soft. Their matcha strawberry latte was also so good. We tried the waffle with ice cream personally I didn't like it but my boyfriend liked it! The service was fast and the workers were nice! I will say it is really packed and the parking is really hard to find

Love coming here, it's almost perfect. I'm not sure why, but the AC/Heating is always set on the high 70's so it gets hot in there. Other than that place is great

Terrible place. Smells bad, prices are super high (7$ for an americano), it's dirty, the music is to loud and the restroom was out of service today. After 12 pm the place gets really hot because the air conditioner doesn't work as it supposed to work. The electrical outlets sometimes work and sometimes don't, they are dirty connections on the floor. The only thing good about this place is that they are open until 2 am, so I just go to Starbucks because today the vibe wasn't vibing.

I loved the drinks, the place is very nice, but it was my first time so me and my friend were looking at the menu and the baristas were there, we were asking questions about what was good but honestly the customer service was poor, the girls got I guess annoyed by the fact that we were asking about what was good and what was popular, it was like 2 simple questions but I guess they were more into their phones than trying to help us, but anyways, maybe it was just them but the drinks were pretty good.

This was a odd experience. I came in to awesome coffee for the first time ever and it was packed to the brim but it was completely silent. No music playing. Not a sound. It was very uncomfortable. The drink was actually really delicious and mid way through my drink the speaker starts playing music. At first it was jarring but it filled that empty space very well. The wifi seems very spotty, and from other reviews, it seems this is a common occurrence. Aside from that, I could see myself coming back here to get some quality work done...

It is one of the few cafes in Ktown that is opened pretty late. It closes at 2am. The cafe has a wide selection of drinks and food. We ordered the ice cream waffle and it was a decent size to share among 3 people and tasted good as well. It is definitely a casual cafe where you can go do work on your laptop or just hang out with friends. The staff were also extremely friendly. The cafe has wifi, outlet and restroom.

(Snacked 08/04/23 FR @1:30pm): Because I don't drink coffee, I may never know how awesome their bold self-proclamation namesake is! I came across Awesome Coffee purely because of the name as a place to meet a prospective tenant for a vacancy at my family's nearby Koreatown apartment building. Since coffee was off the table, was there anything else I would find awesome here!? PURCHASE Large Chocolate Chip Cookie ($4.25): Because the food options were slim pickings at this time, by default I went with this to snack on. I couldn't tell whether or not it was baked in-house or purchased elsewhere. It had a nice thickness, a decent amount of chocolate chips, and a snowing of powdered sugar on top. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't anything special. 16floz Iced Matcha Latte ($4.75): This was an Incredible Hulk green-colored drink with the matcha flavor present throughout from start to finish. I felt somewhat healthy as I slowly sipped this cold drink. 16floz Iced Matcha Lemonade ($6.50): I treated the person I was meeting with to this drink. Unfortunately, I was unable to try it, but it had a rich green color and looked quite refreshing especially on this particular hot day. 16floz Iced Blood Rose ($6.00): The aroma was undeniably floral with roses and lavender while the flavor was as if I had a bouquet in my mouth. With a hint of lemonade and the waft of an older woman's perfume, this drink on ice helped soothe the hot weather. I honestly wasn't sure whether or not the floating petals were edible (I ate some with no ill effects), but they made the drink look pretty and serene. Case in point, I actually grabbed the wrong drink and started drinking it because I thought it was mine. Once we were done with our meeting, I wasn't sure if you left the items on the table or brought them back to the counter (I brought them to the counter). Otherwise, all was pretty straightforward. PARKING (FREE) Located within the Wilshire Gramercy Strip Mall, they shared a tight medium-sized parking lot (I believe there was also a backside parking lot or at least that was where I parked for the hour-plus I was there) with several businesses as was the case with most businesses in Koreatown. Otherwise, there appeared to be plenty of time-limited spots along the main drag of Wilshire Blvd. and all surrounding streets. Just make sure to carefully read any and all posted signs - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Situated on the second floor, it had a surprisingly spacious long interior with an eclectic display of several chandeliers, a faux library nook with leather chairs, an array of chairs, tables, and a long seating bar along the windows. It appeared nearly everyone was on their respective laptop. Everything else was clean and very minimal. Ample natural lighting came through the many large front glass wall windows and doors while electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There weren't any TVs, while smooth jazzy covers of current songs played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Generally speaking, Awesome Coffee and its kitschy atmosphere was fine, but there wasn't anything specific that would bring me back for more. Again, I didn't drink coffee, minimal drink/food menu options (I saw pictures of creative food on their Yelp page but none at the business), relatively pricey, and parking could be an issue. On the bright side... I really liked the music playlist, it was chill, and the service was adequate. Plus, I loved to support any small business whenever possible. I found good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $24.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... Super cute space with lots of seating available. Great place for working/studying. But, I can't really get behind it because the drinks are SO expensive! $7 for a chai latte. After subbing with soy milk and taxes, my chai latte was $9 something!! After tip, it was $11 something!!! FOR A CHAI LATTE! And it was VERY mediocre. I can not justify that price point. The pros: - large space, lots of seating available - cute atmosphere, great for working/studying - friendly staff The cons: - parking is valet only (I think it's $3) - the PRICE!!!!!!

Went here late at night, around 10ish. They are open till 2am. For two drinks, it costs 13$ with tip 15$. It was weird, I was paying and when it got to the tip part, there is no option to skip it. Maybe I'm wrong but you're forced to tip to finish payment?? ‍ Anyway, the coffee was ok. The space is cute with chandeliers and lots of decor and lots of comfortable seating...benches, chairs and tables and lounge chairs. Nice place to hangout , study or work. The music was not blaring which was nice so our stay was pleasant with comfortable conversation. One thing we noticed is that the space would pop out more (especially that it was so visible from the street since it's on the 2nd floor) is if they cleaned their windows and lights. Just saying. Perfect study spot!! Tried the BLT ($10) and it was amazing, highly recommend! The chai I heard is also very good The cafe's layout is well designed! The comfortable tables and chairs make working very productive, and it's pretty quiet overall!

Been here many years ago and the interior looks different as it was all wood furniture. It's improved and on a vintage feel. Just that drinks were served warm not hot yet nice to have a cafe that's open till late.

Revisiting this cafe with a completely new perspective. The employees are super nice, and I still stand by what I said about the coffee and sandwich being amazing. Based on my experiences visiting cafes, this is the best coffee shop for studying. Not only do they offer free Wi-Fi, but there is also a printer readily available! There is plenty of seating and outlets as well. Also, it's amazing that they open early and close late - perfect for early birds and late-night owls.

came here with the intentions of late night studying and while the vibes did deliver, the desserts and drinks did not. self parking is mainly through valet for $4 but if you go in the morning, i don't think they're there. unfortunately, the cafe itself taxing so i just ordered a vanilla ice cream that was already a whopping $8.50. while it is good, it's not like wow i need to come back and get it. my friend got a vanilla latte but the color is a lot lighter than it should be. i will note that the waffle items looked scrumptious but those were out of tax bracket. service was quick and worker was very kind. as a college student, i would def just order one main food as a group and then split because of finance.

I'm a big coffee shop enthusiast, especially if the place has a bookshelf inside. Cute ambiance, a bit crowded though. Many people come to study, work, or socialize. Personally I think they're wayyyyy overpriced and it won't be my go-to coffee shop. The printer is also broken but there wasn't a sign so I had paid a non-refundable $7. Great place to work late! Waffle affogato was okay but I thought it would be different I think I was expecting something more special. The waffle itself was good and bet they're other waffle things are better so would try those next time! There's a good amount of seating and it gets full the later and night you go. But a good ambiance for working out of the house and the service friendly but not fast!

Very rude. This place did not have ANY customers at the time I visited with two other friends. I bought a cup of coffee because it felt weird to just sit around for free (of course). My friends and I sat down at this empty coffee shop, and have been catching up for around thirty minutes. Then the workers come up to us and in a very condescending tone, tells us to get out or if we want to stay, to order more. I couldn't believe it lol. We also could have been told in the beginning. Also it's 7 bucks for a simple cup of joe. Crazy prices. EDIT: I am reading the reviews, and this seems to not be a unique experience. The workers and management seem to be very pushy and rude. Especially in this current economy and the ICE raids here in LA, shouldn't we be all more understanding? And even so, pushing customers to buy more during a short period of stay AND when the cafe is empty is absurd and, really, is just rude.

My family and I wanted some coffee after lunch so we went here. At first glance, the place looks really nice! It's really cute and well decorated. My mom took a lot of pictures with some of the antique pieces that they had. It was really empty and quiet, so it seems like the perfect place for people to study. That being said, the coffee was hard to drink. My family took 2 sips and we all threw out our coffee. It was really hard to swallow for us. Perhaps the other drinks outside of coffee would be better

This place is great and everyone including the guests are so helpful and friendly. The coffee is good and I got a lot of studying done. The only downside is it can be changed to park. It's worth a try and they are open late.

First visit - met the owner George who is a wonderful man. The tea selection was excellent - served in a nice and crisp teapot. Excellent choice of music and a very thoughtfully decorated interior. Plenty of tables and places to sit. I will be back, thank you!

Excellent place, very cozy, delicious desserts and sandwiches, the service is excellent and I recommend it 100%. Don't resist trying the delights of this cafeteria. I totally recommend it
