Awoke Vintage Brooklyn

This shop was on my bucket list when traveling to New York and I’m so glad I stopped in! The clothes were cute, fair priced, and is a mix of style from minimalist to maximalist. My husband even found a sweater he liked. 10/10 will come back whenever I visit!

The staff is super sweet and genuine and I got a flawless pair of 90s Levis that fit perfectly for $45. Of course it’s curated vintage, so not the cheapest spot, but there are some less expensive gems and sale items if you peak around a bit. Super positive vibes all around:)

Super cute store with kind staff! The sale bin has great deals ($5-$10 per item) and the more curated section has great stuff for reasonable prices.

The Williamsburg location is in a really cute area, I recommend browsing any street sales/nearby shops, getting coffee at the Five Leaves stand right next door, and making a morning out of it. This heightened the whole experience for me even though we didn't spend much time inside Awoke. They have a small space, but they make the most of it, keeping it clean and spacious. The pink walls match their popular pink tote bag (one of the reasonably priced items at $18). On one row there are strappy summer shoes which I imagine are replaced by boots as seasons change and they sell. There are definitely investments and staple pieces including leather jackets and racing rjackets which are hard to look at the 100 dollar + price tag without a silent wince. Yet, Awoke isn't a thrift store. They have a lot of original designs which are very cute, trendy items. Unfortunately, right now it means tops don't have a lot of fabric which just isn't worth the steep price tag for me. They have a keen sense on what's "in" online right now for a small, target demographic so I encourage anyone stepping in to think about the long term and whether or not they could see themselves wearing this item in 2, 5, years. I ended up getting a necklace because their accessories are more reasonably priced and it was something I'd see myself wearing. Again they have super insta/tiktok trending jewelry like ribbon chokers and chonky silver statement necklaces as well as resin/beaded rings. it is definitely a fun place to shop around and see what they are featuring but if you don't want to spent a lot of money on clothes or browsing a store with a relatively small selection, I'd recommend somewhere else

Just happened to stumble in here because something in the window must've attracted my 11year old daughter. Pretty nice items inside. However, the young woman behind the register didn't even bother to greet us when we walked in and when I said "Hello" she looked up and just said "hi" like it was a bother for her. Didn't make me even feel welcomed and I am BIG on making me feel like I am wanted. It's too bad cause I seen a few items that I would've purchased had the woman been nicer.

Please stop selling $5 earrings for $30 and not offering any returns or exchanges. Literal thieves

bad customer service. I was going to buy a pair of sunglasses and I asked for a price, since they had no price tag, the lady at the counter rudely remarked like I was bothering her and proceeded to ask me why I was asking the price when I was expressing interest in sunglasses. Once she marked them and asked me if I was going to get them or leave. I wasn't too happy

I reached out to this company via Instagram and they were very unfriendly. I simply asked if they could send me a tote bag and their response was very snarky. I do not recommend reaching out to them for anything.

Top five star vintage store based in Brooklyn. But you can find their cool stuff online too by going to their instagram @awokevintagebrooklyn which they constantly update with cool stuff.

Cool stuff but super pretty expensive. A lot of it is brand new, not second hand. Lots of pretty jewelry and some nice shoes, but not second hand.

This is my favorite clothing store. It's like shopping in a cool girl's closet. The store is nicely curated, and they have excellent customer service on Instagram purchases.

I used to shop here a lot when I lived in Brooklyn. They always carry things that are unique but also good quality. After I left New York I still come back just to shop at awoke. Glad to see they have two locations now

Really enjoyed the selection of curated items they had. Enjoyed trying on the funky sunglasses and looking at the jewelry. Didn't purchase anything this time around but will def keep in my rotation of stores next time I'm in the area.

calling it vintage is a stretch. trending now cool stuff. clothing, accessories, not cheap. but worth checking out.

I love Awoke Vintage! They always have a sick collection, and one of the city's best vintage jeans available. I stalk their IG stories for the first scoop on what's available in store. I recently purchased the cutest earrings and dainty necklace- less than $100 altogether!

Idk why it's taken me so long to review this place but all I can say is LOVE.The pieces are really beautiful and unique, you can tell they have an eye for the pieces they select. Prices are so reasonable and the selection is awesome. So many vintage jeans jackets shorts etc for great prices. I also love their jewelry collection - I get all of my hoop earrings here. The other locations are great as well, I just think this one has the best layout. Amazing!

Great I love this place. They have a lovely selection of curated items. Perfect for me who is trying to avoid shopping at big store that have horrible working conditions at their factories, but who also cannot afford to spend top dollar on clothes. It's a step up from Buffalo Exchange down the block which has less pristine choices and many more lower quality ones. Everything at Awoke is in great condition and on trend. I'm guessing this is a new location since I am the first to review. I've been stopping by the Wburg one for years. Oh also, I am big chested and curvy and I can fit in to so much more here than other stores so THANK YOU! Probably not that great of a selection for really big people though outside of some larger coats and jackets.
