Axil Coffee Roasters

I buy Axil's beans online and it was a joy to find a store within easy walking distance from my hotel. Good service and great consistency with the coffees while we were here. Staff are also not pretentious which can happen with successful coffee shops. I hope next time we come there might be a different bean. Seasonal is good but my favourite is the Pele bean. Till next time.

Coffee was very nice, the mugs are quite small amd there is only the one size. It was very busy when we went there, tables and chairs are all very close to others so felt like no privacy and lited space. Had to ask for a knife to butter the toast, also had to ask for serviettes and butter for the toast. Staff weren't the best.

Ridiculous price of $6.15 for a cup they supposedly call small. I thought I ordered a short black. Shame on them and their attitude on top of it.

Very popular coffee venue and it's easy to see why. All the Axil shops do great coffee including this one. This location also has table service. My macchiato arrived deconstructed which was novel and also a great way to serve it in my opinion. The pricing is slightly higher than your average Melbourne coffee shop but I think it's reflected in the above average coffee and service. It can get quite busy especially during office hours.

I often pick up freshly ground coffee for our Areopress at home. Always friendly staff and clean premises. The warps are my favourite.giggly toasted to get the cheese melting is perfect for a fulfilling lunch meal. Paired with a hot beverage and you have the perfect lunch date, when dining alone. It offers ample seating and there is also the lounge lobby around the side if you need something a little more private or generalist ins seating if you’re ordering take away. The packaging has changed on the beans, however, as assured by staff, it has not altered the flavour at all. Recommend stopping by and taking a seat and enjoying a hot beverage or simple light meal. Banquette seating and loose furniture. There is also a communal high table. I didn’t take any photos but will add, there were too many people enjoying themselves and I didn’t want to be taking too many snaps without their permission. Everyone a clean, friendly and harmonious environment for breakfast or lunch. Or the acoustics can be a little loud when busy due to all the hard surfaces.

Very good coffee and yummy brekkie menu items. We ordered coffee and the Scrambled Eggs on Sourdough with Bacon. Forgot to take a pic as serving looks sooo appetising and really tasted delicious. Will need to go back and remember to take a pic 😊

Great coffee (Australian Barista Champions for the past 3 years) and breakfast spot in the CBD. The matcha and coconut Bircher was delicious.

Great place to visit in Melbourne. I really needed to visit this place because I read a lot about "Axil" and it was amazing because all the bartenders were very professional and made magic with the drinks. Best of all, I found delicious single origin coffee. It was a pink bourbon from Colombia.
