I really enjoyed my stay – this was my first camping experience and definitely not my last! All the amenities were clean, and every morning I saw staff cleaning the shared areas around the campground. I especially appreciated how private the public showers were, and there were plenty of them – same with the toilets – so I never had to wait! ;) The outdoor kitchen was amazing – super convenient and such a nice space to cook and hang out.

We stayed for two nights and the amenities were not cleaned at all in this time. The location in relation to Ayers Rock is the only positive we took out of staying here. We got a tent site which wasn’t overly crowded which was good but we were camping on red dirt (which is fine but) we expected grass areas like what was advertised. It is definitely over-commercialised and I would recommend only staying one night and doing everything in a day if possible.

If you’re looking for a proper outback stay, this is the place. I rented a cabin at the Ayers Rock Campground and it was perfect—comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, while still feeling connected to the rugged, natural surroundings. You get the atmosphere of the bush without sacrificing the basics. It’s a great base for exploring Uluru and the national park, and the campground has a friendly, laid-back vibe. Highly recommended for a more grounded and memorable experience.

We stayed two nights in the overflow camp ground as we arrived early and two nights in the powered camp ground. Whilst we were near the generators the first two nights, it didn't bother us at all. Facilities around the campsite were great and only 15 minutes walk to shopping town square. In hindsight, we could have camped out near the Olga's the first two nights to save 50km drive out to the Olga's, but it was lovely to have a nice hot shower at camp. We didn't use the pool area but it was very popular. Great location and value for $ Perfect spot to see both a sunrise and sunset!!

Excellent unpowered campsites. Lots of little different "lawns" to choose from. We never had to wait for showers or toilets. The kitchen was amazing; it had a microwave, kettle, toasters, 4 fridges, sponges and soap at the sink and lots of BBQs which had tongs and cleaning utensils. Drinking water everywhere. Shout out to the cleaning staff who came past the kitchen every morning and properly scrubbed the BBQs, keeping them super clean! The pool was cute too. It's an easy walk to IGA. Overall for the price it was great value, very happy with our stay.

It would have been a perfect score if the cabin rooms has bathroom & toilet. It is an effort to walk to the shared bathroom and toilets in the middle of the night. The pressure of the water in the shower is not that great so be prepared to take too long. The number of the showers are not enough to the number of campers so you need to wait a bit. Cabin is clean with basic needs. Our hot water tap was fixed on our last night despite reporting it on the next day of our arrival. Overall experience is good.

Unfortunately this campground is the only option here. They would really have to pull their socks up if they had competition but they are cashing in. Understand this is a very remote place but you get next to nothing for your money - very, very expensive with basic and inadequate amenities. Stayed in a powered site where we were literally packed in like sardines. If I had reached out the window I would have been able to touch the set up next door - no privacy. Couldn’t wait to get out of the place!

Seems almost a bit silly to review when it's the only option for camping near Uluru! BUT a few cons, not many pros. Cons The camp spots are super crammed in, the lights around camp are super bright and disruptive to sleep. We said when booking we had a tent with us and the site we were allocated the ground was way to hard for tent pegs (thanks to a neighbour who had a drill to help us out!). The only camp kitchen which was a long was away had all the burners replaced but not connected - and half the BBQs weren't working, ruined our meal plans big time (and many other campers at the kitchen). When spoken to, reception had no idea this had happened and no idea when it would be resolved. Super hard for us on a big camp/ road trip with kids when we had planned on the amenities we were told would be provided. Pro The bathrooms, whilst not super clean, were big enough that there was never a wait for showers - which were hot and high pressure. Would prefer not to stay here again, but given the location, might have to!
