This is a wonderful place to visit on a quiet afternoon. There are many shops/stalls selling all kinds of things, from ice cream to shirts to souvenirs. The best part for me was the actual getting to the market, which involved an optional(?) motorised canal boat ride which took approximately five minutes. The water is beautiful, and so are the wooden huts, walkways, and bridges.
I managed just fine limping with my walking stick, but I don't think it's wheelchair accessible, and the boat ride definitely isn't. This is fairly standard for Thailand, though: disabled access is rare. Hopefully this will change over time. Still, it gets full marks from me.
