Google
Very nice race course, plenty of space. Staff on the gate were very pleasant & helpful, pointed me in the right direction to find who I was looking for. I can't say how long you'd have to wait for tickets as I wasn't there for the racing. There for another event.

Good weather, party atmosphere & able to get close to the horses. Plenty of places to bet. Security was good. Bar service was quick, staff friendly & quick cleaning tables. Good food options too. We even got on TV as the camera panned across the parade of horses!! Excellent work ITV :-)

Good racing venue but starting to look a bit run down. Today the food options were poor but bar was well staffed

Quiet Monday afternoon so a good experience but wouldn't go on a busy gold cup day as I suspect parking and viewing could be problematic.

Went for ladies day! Negatives were Ticket collection point wasn’t ready for gates open time allowing queues to build up, disappointingly. No cash point on the site Exterior of grandstand looking shabby & clock not working Positives polite stewarding staff and very well staffed keeping site tidy and litter free Positive

Good wee day out, just in the grandstand with my 10yr old son for his first time at the races and he loved it, thought staff were very pleasant and the toilets were immaculate

The Grandstand ticket not worth the money far too busy a covid breeding ground. Enjoyed the atmosphere and entertainment. The race day was good and lived sering the horses in the parade sing .

Yelp
I've never so much as played an arcade machine or put a bet on the Grand National, but last year I went to Ladies Night at Ayr Races and I had so much fun! Hailed as "the most glamorous night of the year at Ayr" Ladies Night usually attracts around 8000 people all beautifully dressed and looking for a good night. Judges mingle throughout the crowd to pick the best dressed ladies, who will go through to another round with the chance to win a car and other fancy prizes. Unfortunately, I didn't win any prizes last year but it didn't stop me having a good night! I was also quids in on a horse called Igoyougo, I don't really have a clue how the odds work so I just picked the Jockey with the nicest coloured jumper. Horses creep me out a little bit, and I enjoy admiring their beauty from afar rather than getting up close and personal and it was so exciting to watch them race round the course. Just a short train or car ride from Glasgow, if you're looking for something different with a little bit of glam then I'd highly recommend Ladies Night at the races which is usually held around the second Saturday in August. I can't wait to go back this year!

Yelp
Ayr Racecourse is placed in the centre of Ayr and is easily accessible. It was recently modernised and deveoped to bring it to the 21st century. It is also where the Scottish Gold Cup and Scottish National is held. As well as holding race meeting throughout the year it also hoast various events such as the recent firework display and the infamous Ayr Flower Show. With the modernisation of Western House it is proving to be a a popular destination for corporate meetings. In January they also hold a wedding fair which is an ideal location as Ayr racecourse is proving very popular destination to get married in and host the reception. Nearing the end of the year the racecourse hosts party nights for christmas in the Princess Anne Suit. These party nights are so popular that booking are taken from January onwards. I myself have attended one of these party nights and it was such a great atmosphere and i had so much fun that we have booked again for this year.

Yelp
The Ayr racecourse is host of the Scottish Grand National and the Ayr Gold Cup the racecourse is synonymous with good quality racing. The Scottish Grand National is the richest jump race in Scotland and when its on the road in to Prestwick and Ayr are jam packed. The Racecourse is situated on the main road in to Ayr next to Tescos. On big race days famous people from all over Scotland can be spotted from Ally MaCoist to Sir Alex Ferguson. but in my opinion the best thing about the racecourse happens on a sunday .. The Car Boot Sale!!! You can get anything here from butcher meat to bric-a-brac. Its great to wander round and pick up the odd, in some cases very odd, bargain.

Yelp
The West Coast of Scotland's only racecourse. It has a National Hunt (over jumps) and also a Flat course and holds the Scottish GrandNational (in April) and also the highest money race in Scotland - the Ayr Gold Cup in September. A new grandstand has been built and offers good viewing over the course. Well known trainers from the South of England will come up so it is worthwhile going to visit if you are a racing fan. Easily accesible from the A77 but the journey in from the A77 can take some time in both directions.
