T+L's Hotel Review of Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan, Indonesia

"Located in the main building and serving all day, Ayung Terrace is where I recommend trying the weekly Indonesian buffet-style dinner that showcases the country’s diverse flavors and cooking techniques." - Samantha Leal Samantha Leal Samantha Leal is a writer, editor, and content strategist who covers all the good things in life—style, beauty, travel, drinks, and more. Very nice place ! You don’t see much of a sunset tho, so if you want sunset have to catch at Sayan house nearby . Facility here is very beautiful and near the river. We took alcohol free cocktail and it’s very delicious and looking nice! The stuff are cool and make pictures for you!

Significant Booking Disconnect, but Impressive Service Recovery The Experience: Our visit to Ayung Terrace began with a frustrating series of service failures. Despite booking through the official Four Seasons website, we received a message just 10 minutes before our reservation claiming it was unavailable. Upon arrival, we were told the restaurant was not even open for lunch and that their other venue, Riverside, was fully committed. As we were traveling with a senior family member with specific accessibility requirements, the lack of coordination was particularly disappointing. The initial suggestion was to wait on a couch that was unfortunately soaking wet from the rain. The Recovery: However, once we presented our official confirmation, the management took immediate ownership of the error. They quickly prepared the seating with dry towels and, most importantly, secured us a proper table. From that point on, the hospitality was flawless. The staff eventually redeemed the experience with their warmth and attentiveness. The Verdict: While the food was excellent and the eventual hospitality was world-class, there is clearly a disconnect between the corporate booking system and the on-site operations. Pro-tip: If traveling with seniors or for a special occasion, I recommend calling the resort directly to verify your reservation, rather than relying on the website.

We went here for a last meal before leaving Bali and what a great idea. I ordered everything I wanted and ate it all guilt free. The staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Wish we'd visited during daytime to see the incredible views. Well worth the price as the portions are also generous.

We came early in the evening to catch the sun set and enjoy the views of the Ayung Valley. It was lucky that the weather was good and the views were just fantastic, though the sunset was not on the horizon but from the tree tops and it was still too bright. Nevertheless, it was a great view. At the Ayung Terrace, we ordered a vegetable salad, scallops, and beef soup. The vegetable salad was just so so, but both scallops and beef soup were great. We ordered the fish, prawn, beef cheek, and ribs. All the mains were fantastic, they were so delicious, we all loved them. We had the cheese cake, and Panna cotta. The cheese cake was great, but the Panna cotta can be better.

Brilliant service and food in the restaurant. The most annoying thing is they wouldn't let me ride my scooter down to the reception area so I could go to the resturant. The walk up the hill after a nice brunch certainly tarnished my view of excellent service. I wonder because my skin was brown as I saw two white couples on their scooters.

Came here as a birthday present from my gf, we had the whole duck (bebek bengil). Amazing experience. Typical belinese dish that is a must try if available. Words fail to describe the richness of flavour, tenderness and delicious spices used to create this unique dish. The duck is prepared for 12 hours on a fire, wrapped in different local leaves and spices to respectively avoid burning and add tremendous about of exquisite flavour. The duck was cut up infront of our table and served as is. There were also side dishes served with the duck that cannot be forgotten. Red rice and greens that go well with the duck. Once the duck was served the chef went back to the kitchen with all the bones and spices left over to prepare an equally delicious, if not more splendid soup. Highly recommend ordering this if you are able to. Almost forgetting the desert that was once again very unique and brings a delicious end to the whole experience.
