Azalai urban souk

My husband wanted to try a tangier, a dish you only get in Marrakech. I’m a vegetarian so the hunt was on to find something that suited us both. I am so glad we found this absolute gem of a restaurant, not only did it suit us both but it was genuinely one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The flavour packed into my lentil risotto was next level and the deserts were phenomenal. Just gorgeous. The setting is perfect, relaxed and considered, with great attention to detail. Finally the service. Perfect. The right level of attention, lovely chat, really genuine hospitality that didn’t feel forced. Make a reservation - you won’t regret it. Ive already recommended to a friend who is coming to Marrakech in the New Year and will keep recommending. Thank you for such a lovely evening. (PS The photos don’t do it justice, sorry!)

We were looking for a nice restaurant relatively close to the Jardin Majorelle and found this pearl by scrolling through Google Maps. Our expectation was matched. The ambient was really cosy. It really felt like a little souk. The service was great, friendly and attentive. But the best thing was the food. Wow, delicious!! If we could have eaten more, we had. Really great fusion of Moroccan style and others. As others have mentioned in their reviews, a fresh breath between all the tajines.

Best I have had in my Morocco trip! Very friendly stuff. Relaxing atmosphere with good music. We tried two starters and one plate and then ordered again for another starter because the food is simply amazing. The dessert looks so good and tastes even better

Incredible. Some of the best food I’ve had eating out in the last few years. Service also top-tier and beautiful atmosphere. Four of us dined for a late lunch at ~1530 without a reservation and were able to get a table but it is a smaller space so imagine booking is advised. The bread, eggplant starter, shrimp pastilla and lentils were our favourite dishes - would recommend to anyone in or visiting Marrakesh! Wonderful restaurant, a highlight of our trip to Marrakech. It was quiet when we arrived but I suspect that was only because we arrived right as it opened. Food and ambience was amazing with very helpful and pleasant staff

Wow. Ali in service and the kitchen staff made this an unforgettable dinner in Marrakesh. Food was so delicious, traditional with a modern twist and definitely worth every dirham. Ambiente and service were so good. I‘ll for sure come back when i‘m in the city!!!

The food was absolutely incredible — from the plating to the flavours, it felt like edible art. We had the beef tanjia and the prawn pastilla, both unbelievably tender. This was easily the best meal we had in Marrakesh. The owners were lovely, and the servers took great care in explaining each dish. We’ll definitely be back.

Hidden away in a side street with only a door visible, this place is a real oasis in the concrete junge of Marrakech. I came for dinner early so they could seat me without a reservation, otherwise they were fully booked. The staff were very friendly and recommended some dishes. The food was beautifully presented and so tasty. It's a modern twist on Moroccan cuisine, which was a nice reprieve from the couscous and chicken tajine you get everywhere else. For drinks, I had the vanilla milkshake, which was also fantastic. Highly recommend this place!
