The hotel is located in the city center within walking distance of the old town and the cathedral.| Unusual for this chain, the rich decoration of the first floor with a swimming pool and open glass elevators.| On the second floor there is a dummy of a mammoth with a baby mammoth and lecture halls where we held events. Good business lunch.| I had a single room on the 7th floor, large in area.| The bed is double with a comfortable mattress, next to the bed there are two bedside tables with sockets and turning off the general light.| The bathroom is large with a bathtub. There is shampoo and shower gel.| Near the entrance there is a small hanger, a safe and a small refrigerator without a freezer compartment.| There is a large LCD TV.| Breakfast varied, we had chum salmon, herring, egg porridge, sausages, bacon, beans, pickled vegetables, pastries.| Good value for money.| Measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19: the requirement to maintain social distance, wear a mask, employees wear masks.| If the review was helpful to you, please like it!

In Yakutsk it was -35, and it was warm. At the entrance you will see a huge mammoth and smal child-mammoth,so cute. The room is very warm! Note the very beautiful patterns on the window frost! Good enough comfortable room! Spacious! On breakfast (7am) I couldn't find sugar, and from staff i got an answer not polite, said that a bar opens at 10. In general, it is worth a little work on the manners of some staff. Opposite the theatre, be sure to go to the market, there are huge frozen fish! Direct inspiration! A lot of interesting places which you can visit-will get all info at the reception. Yakuts - the sweetest nation on earth! Despite the climate, the people are very warm

Stayed at this hotel for two nights, during a business trip. It looks good from the outside, it's rather lux in the lobby, the mammoth in the lobby is impressive. ||It took 10 minutes to find the entrance, because the main entrance was under construction, and the sign pointed to the right of the building, however the entrance was on the opposite side. It was quite a bit of walking with 2 suitcases. Luckily I was checked in quickly. ||However the room was dated, the carpet was worn, the TV was old, and the water in the tap was brown (which is normal over there). Otherwise, my stay was OK, took a while to find the irning board and the iron, turns out it was at the end of the hall. The breakfast was more like dinner, which wasnt a bad thing, considering that you really need a lot of energy in that cold. ||This probably is the best hotel for business travelers, and if I come to Yakutsk again I will stay here, unless something else opens.

Location is the most central. Rooms are a bit old-fashioned but bathroom was newly renovated. My room was on one of the top floors, so I had a great view. Due to low temperature outside there was a 'sauna' inside, I think about 30 degrees room temperature :D So be ready to open windows to take a breath :)||Btw there is a shopping center 5 min from the hotel, so you may have a small shopping.

Reasonably good rooms, with large beds. Breakfast is not good and neither is the service at the breakfast. You have to bring your vouchers for breakfast and I forgot those in my room. I couldn't sit an have breakfast, I had to go get the vouchers. Is not like anybody really wants to come in and eat there, even if it was free.||Staff at front desk is really kind and helpfull

As the title says I have forgiven a lot of agregious incompetence and lack of standards because of the outstanding service provided by the reception staff. This probably would have been a 2 star review except for that.||||Let's start with arrival at Yakutsk Airport. I had contacted the hotel several days before asking about an airport pickup and received a response offering options. That was the last communication received in spite of my responding with my selected option and sending follow up emails asking for confirmation of my choice plus later advising of a flight delay and asking for acknowledgment of receipt of the message. Needless to say there was no one at the airport to collect me but fortunately the Yandex app works in Yakutsk and I was able to arrange my own transport. ||||The hotel's reception area is open, clean and up to the standards of an international hotel. My room was of a reasonable size with a queen bed, desk, table and chairs, flat screen TV and a safe in the closet. Oddly, it did not have luggage stand, an item which seems to be standard in most Russian hotels. There was a fridge containing only one small juice box and a cellophane wrapped cookie. Not exactly a minibar. The room faced out on to the street with big windows giving lots of light that the blinds and curtains did not block very well for the morning 3am sunrise. The bathroom was fairly standard with the shower over the tub. The shower holder fitting was broken but it functioned adequately as a hand held. There was only one full sized towel and it was not replaced or even picked up from the side of the tub when the room was serviced. "Serviced" is probably the wrong word. The quilt was hastily straightened and nothing else done - certainly no cleaning and the service person obviously never even walked inside the bathroom. ||||The wifi was easy to use and functioned well but both my devices warned that the connection was insecure with an expired certificate. A good breakfast with lots of choices was provided but in an odd room that was obviously designed as something other than a restaurant. There was a non-functional bar at the entrance, a small stage and tables sparsely dotted about in a pace that was probably too big for its current use. Dinner was also served there with an English language menu available. ||||The Business Center is a joke. One monitor and one old printer behind a locked door although there wasn't anything there worth stealing. The printer had no paper and the monitor did not work properly in spite of the attentions of the "IT manager". Fortunately the lovely receptionists were willing to print documents for me. More on those lovely receptionists. They all spoke some English and some had very good English. They were happy to print documents and to hunt down a booking on a shared taxi to Neryungri for the next day that would have been near impossible for me to do. They also answered all my questions and generally mad eye feel welcome. Just what you want from front of house staff. Their hard work and willingness took away some, if not all, of my grumps concerning the other deficiencies. ||||Overall, the hotel is adequate provided that you don't expect real 4-5 star facilities and service. This is, after all, a remote place and the Azimut Polar Star is probably one of the better hotels in the city. I would stay there again if returning to Yakutsk.

I've stayed here many times for my work and I'm happy to go back any time. The girls in the front desk are very helpful, and some of them speak good English (and some of them not at all). for the internet you need to login with a Russian cellphone number.||The lobby bar is small but comfy, the beer quite expensive.

Good place to stay in Siberia for foreigners who don't speak russian. Not a lot of people speak English at this hotel, but at least receptionist speak enough English to check you in and give you the wifi code. Then, use your translator! Food is good, bed are good, not the best, but good enough to rest. The photo of the mammoth was took in the lobby of the hotel and the other is the view from my room.
