Closed. Like every church in Turkey for some reason it’s “closed”

It's on remodeling now. We were lucky to be informed directly from the church leader. Thanks for opening the door and inviting us for 5 minutes to see ❣️

Fantastic church! Exterior doesn't look like much, but the interior is really beautiful. Colorful paintings covering the ceiling. Peaceful and quiet. Closed on Mondays and Thursdays. We came on a Saturday at 3pm, and it looked closed, but if you ring the door bell they will open (go to the right gate, not the one on the corner of the compund). Security screening and ID check.

Nice old small church. Will preserved. Not much to see, if you have seen large churches before. Many aesthetic pieces, spiritual. It opens from 3pm to 5pm for the public. Sunday is opened for prayer and closed for visitors. They have brochures to explain about the artifacts.

Looked nice from outside, me and my lovely Italian partner were going to go in but the heat got to her so we didn’t.

Hidden gem in the middle of Izmir. Opening hours are very short so check before going! :) Photos and videos are prohibited inside by the way.
