We visited this restaurant today and ordered the lamb beyti, lahmachun, and a portion of baklava. The lahmachun was nice and the lamb beyti, though quite expensive and not the biggest portion, was delicious, with a lovely pepper sauce that sets it apart from any other lamb beyti I have tasted. The service was also excellent, providing us with extra yoghurt when requested.
However, the baklava was poor. In the portion were 4 very small pieces that were dry and had a bitter taste at the end. I have honestly had better baklava from my local newsagents, and to top this off, it costed us £6.50. In other HMC Turkish restaurants (Hilal, Sultan) they give similar small pieces for free. This was a disappointing end to the meal.
