Definitely a pleasant surprise!
I walked in cause I was starving and had some time to kill before a hair appointment. Best 30 mins spent.
When I walked in, it smelled amazing - like a grandmothers kitchen blessed by the lord himself.
Sat down quickly although the place was pretty packed with all native ecuadorian patrons, so I was definitely expecting that this place would be good.
I ordered the garlic shrimp plate - it came with salad, totosnes, rice and shrimp, of course. They also gave me a hot sauce on the side, it was so good! But so damn hot! I still ate it cause it really kicked up the flavors that were already on my plate.
Service was excellent! The waitress was attentive and made sure that I was happy with my meal. The food came out quickly and that was great cause I was so damn hungry!
The place itself is small and decor is beautifully ethnic. There are ecuadorian portraits and paintings, very much feels like a kitchen and a hole in the wall restaurant. A hidden gem for sure.
There was also a small TV that was showing a Spanish novela! That was neat!
The experience was wonderful, the sounds, smell, taste and appeal! Surprisingly wonderful!
