Forget about just Brampton, this place should be on a 'best hidden gems' list for the whole GTA.
Very much a diamond in the rough being in an older plaza. More than half the store space is devoted as a Portuguese goods grocery store, so the amount of baked goods is somewhat limited. But you know what, when the baked goods you do offer are selling at prices that would still be at a deal 20 years ago, you shoot up in ratings.
Take a guess how much they charge for the fresh, jumbo-sized sugar donuts...50 cents! Think it's just cheap since it's a sugar donut? Well for the premium price of 75 cents you can get chocolate dipped, jelly-filled and others. Even apple turnovers and chocolate-filled croissants are just 75 cents too. There's a few other items and of course they're cranking out Portuguese buns like they're feeding the entire neighbourhood - which they might just be doing.
And don't just think you're only getting inexpensive baked goods. Perhaps they may not be at the level of the highest "Boulangerie" downtown, but the quality is still fantastic. You are still getting quality alongside value.
Honestly, the pricing doesn't even make sense, but bless all the staff and ownership of this place for doing what they do. Oh, and they're super-friendly too.
