It’s an old style bakery. Fresh hand made breads. Loved it. Not very pricy. It’s moving crowd. They don’t have sourdough bread. However, tarts, buns, breads , baguette’s and canoli are freshly made. It’s a busy place.

Grew up a few blocks from here and have moved far away now - but I always make sure to get some fresh bread when I'm in town. Quality is unbeatable, as well as their prices. Not sure how they're charging so cheaply in this economy, but they deserve the world. Customer service is top notch and those sausage bread and tarts are phenomenal.

Best Portuguese Bakery ever. Hard working husband and wife team. All bake goods (buns, bread, sweet bread, custard tarts, donuts to name a few) are so fresh and made daily. Always baking more as they sell items. Cheese, sausage, can goods and Portuguese products and the list goes on and on. We moved away to NB and alway stop in when we are back in Ontario. Special trip to Brampton just to go there. Thank you for your dedication to your customers.

I go here because of their reasonably priced fresh bread & buns! They also have the best eggs, from the farm, very yellow egg yolks & reasonably priced as well. When I go I always get at least 5 dozen, of quality, big & fresh eggs for $4.50 a dozen? I try to not buy the sweets unless it's a special occasion, it's very hard to pass them by! Take a chance on the cod fritters they are delicious & very filling.

Overall the service was good, the people were fairly friendly but it felt awkward and chaotic as there was no clear line or service order. I was excited to try the place and drove there from vaughan to try one of the oldest portuguese bakeries in Brampton (saw a feature on them in social). I ordered several 'pasties de camarão' (shrimp patties) and when I got home and served them to my guests one of my guests asked if it's made with fermented fish paste - - - they are NOT. Turns out it was just bad - likely due to being out on a shelf all day (not in a refrigerator) in a bakery that has no AC - a very embarrassing experience and at +$1 each an expensive one :( I also bought a variety of breads including portuguese buns (papo secos) and corn bread (pao de milho) which were fine, but nothing spectacular and definitely not worth going out of my way for. I was hoping to get a few filled Doughnuts, but they didn't have any so I ended up with the chocolate dipped doughnuts and a few 'pasties de nata' (egg custard tarts) - both tasted like they were made a day or two before (at best they were possibly made very early that morning but didn't hold up well with the heat in the bakery throughout the day). While I was excited to visit a store with lots of authentic portuguese things - noting jumped out as being unique to that location vs portuguese stores in Vaughan or Toronto. Can't say I'll be back, even if i happen to be in the neighborhood.

If walking into this little gem didn’t make me feel like I was back in Portugal, the first bite of a tart took me right there! Googled best Portuguese tarts and this place had the highest rating and it is no wonder! Grabbed a few dozen tarts for desert for a party and ow are they good! Highly recommended!

Yelp
This is the best bakery in town WOW! Buns, bread, Portuguese tarts, chocolate covered donuts, all fantastic. Haven't found anything there we don't like. The buns are softest & air-iest! Service is always fantastic and so are the prices. Even my relatives demand I bring some goods with me when I visit...to Orangeville & London, ON. Azores is the best!

Yelp
All I can say is WOW, this place did not disappoint. The tarts are better than I had in Portugal! They are a must try! I also tried the bread which is light as air, and the cream horn which was everything I wanted it to be and not too sweet. The owner is the sweetest, most welcoming man and I HIGHLY recommend this place.

Yelp
We found this place on accident after the bakery we were intending to visit was closed on a Monday. We weren't expecting much, but we're shocked with the variety of baked goods and food. The man working at the counter was so friendly, and had the attitude who people would want to buy from. All prices were also a fraction of what we paid at the bakery we were trying to visit. Also, the pastel de natas were much tastier! I can't believe that the pastel de natas were half of what we paid at another place. If you are looking for delicious breads, delicious desserts and snacks, and other Portuguese foods, and to help a good Business, Id highly recommend visiting this store!

Yelp
Forget about just Brampton, this place should be on a 'best hidden gems' list for the whole GTA. Very much a diamond in the rough being in an older plaza. More than half the store space is devoted as a Portuguese goods grocery store, so the amount of baked goods is somewhat limited. But you know what, when the baked goods you do offer are selling at prices that would still be at a deal 20 years ago, you shoot up in ratings. Take a guess how much they charge for the fresh, jumbo-sized sugar donuts...50 cents! Think it's just cheap since it's a sugar donut? Well for the premium price of 75 cents you can get chocolate dipped, jelly-filled and others. Even apple turnovers and chocolate-filled croissants are just 75 cents too. There's a few other items and of course they're cranking out Portuguese buns like they're feeding the entire neighbourhood - which they might just be doing. And don't just think you're only getting inexpensive baked goods. Perhaps they may not be at the level of the highest "Boulangerie" downtown, but the quality is still fantastic. You are still getting quality alongside value. Honestly, the pricing doesn't even make sense, but bless all the staff and ownership of this place for doing what they do. Oh, and they're super-friendly too.

Yelp
Delicious Custard Tarts (1$). Best I've ever had! Wonderful fresh bread and tasty treats. The pricing is great for the quality. Make sure call ahead if you're going for the tarts. They may be out.

Yelp
Best bakery in town! I like to refer to this place as Portuguese church on busy Sunday mornings. The line is nearly to the front door. Our favourites are their traditional Portuguese custard tarts, freshly baked bread and buns. The service is fantastic. The woman behind the counter will often ensure you get the freshest loaf of bread and put it through the slicer for you. The sugar and chocolate donuts are fantastic, especially in the mornings when they are fresh out of the oven. Another note worthy item is their lunch meats and cheese counter - I never go to subway for subs anymore, I go with $5 and stock up on prosciutto, turkey, hot Genoa and provolone and fresh buns and make my own sandwiches which are way better! $5 feeds my family at a $1 a sandwich. Anytime we go for a family outing to African lion safari, the zoo, or science center, I make these sandwiches and have no complaints from anyone.

Yelp
This bakery is good and fresh .. only problem is, the lady serving has a strong problem serving people that is not the same culture as her. She serves you last even if your first in line ! It hurt me extramly ! Nothing but horrible experience with this place !

Great baked goods. Love the malasadas. If you miss sugar twist donuts this is amazing.
