Aztlan Recreation Center

Super nice staff, weight room is sparse though. Only one squat rack doubling as a bench, with no other free barbells. Totally open when I went fri afternoon.

My kid participated in the STEM program here and loved it. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. Felt like a comfortable community center where my kid could hang out, play, learn, and have some freedom to do what he wants. So great!

I really like this Rec Center. It is a great asset to the community. It has a full gym where you could play basketball as well as a fitness area and exercise balls and even a place for pool and ping-pong and some casual games. Just a great space overall. The people there are fantastic.

Walked in and got greeted almost right away. Also got help finding equipment when asked. Some guy named Claire was super nice and showed me around.

I spent Friday morning and early afternoon at the rec center and could not have been more pleased, with the staff as well as the facility itself. OD, called BINGO for us and she was fantastic. From the moment we entered the center she displayed compassion and kindness to everyone. What a remarkable young lady! But, in fact, all of the staff treated us all like special guests. They actually served us lasagna for lunch, drinks and dessert! They literally waited on us. Thanks so much. I can't wait to visit you all again.

Good place. Front desk mad was quite rude but I guess he was having a bad day perhaps. Life guard are present during swimming pool open hours. Gym is a decent size.

Before my family moved from the area my youngest daughter was there almost every day. The after school activities were interesting and snacks were provided. The staff was always courteous and helpful.

One of the oldest recreation centers still around. The staff is friendly back in my youth I loved coming here everybody know your name I love coming to swim in the pool. I just wish we could expand on the facility make it bigger. Make the weight room bigger update the equipment makes a room where you have arcades a pool table a foosball table. And for a room where you can do arts and crafts so close to the Quigg Newton Housing ( projects )

This review is for the pool. I really like the pool here. It's pretty clean I mean sometimes the kids kinda leave a mess and stuff but they do a good job of cleaning it up. My favorite part is that there's a grassy area which is so much nicer to sit on during breaks instead of hard concrete. There's also a couple of trees so there's some shade on the grass. They let you have snacks on the grassy area which is fantastic especially when you're going with a little kid- definitely love this pool.

I was hesitant to try this place because from the outside it looks a little forlorn. Actually, if what you are looking for is a small gym for a quick work out, this is a great little place. I can only speak to the exercise room, but it is clean and well-kept with updated equipment. It's not usually very busy - I have often had the room to myself. The rest of the building seems to often be a place kids hang out after school. They do have a gym and fitness/activity classrooms, but I have never used those. They have an outdoor pool...

Great place in the neighborhood to swim in the summer, has a gym and workout equipment too.
