Azul Cielo Hostel

Amazing place, we really enjoyed our stay and wished to stay longer. Room was perfectly clean and cozy with comfortable bed. We had windows towards the patio and didn’t hear any street noise. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They also offer a breakfast which is a nice addition.

My partner and I stayed here in one of the dorm rooms for a few nights and really liked the vibe here. The dorm beds were great - plenty of privacy with the curtains, individual plugs to charge your devices and space around the mattress to lay out your things. Breakfasts were great and we really liked that they were at a shared table in the common kitchen area so that you could meet other travellers and chat. We liked the colourful garden and rooftop areas. Was a social but not party vibe, which suited our travel style perfectly. It's a wee bit of a walk into the town centre, but not far enough that it felt tiresome - it was actually nice being slightly out of the centre.

Excellent hostel. My room was spotless, clean. Beautiful garden and quiet roof top terrace. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I had a wonderful stay and will certainly return.

This place is great!! Everything you want out of a hostel: super clean, friendly staff, great breakfast, relaxing atmosphere. Even the dorms rooms have a good level of privacy. Quiet and respectful crowd, lots of sitting spaces, lovely rooftop terrace. Highly recommend!

Perfect hostel. Friendly staff, tranquil vibes, good margaritas, mixed dorm but beds were private, good warm showers, clean toilets and breakfast included was the best. Not a single complaint.

Such a beautiful hostel, would have been a 5 star rating for sure if they didn’t overcharge me and refuse to refund me the $40. I booked 2 nights, ended up cancelling the 2nd night at reception and they said no worries, all good! I then later ended up rebooking the second night as my bus was cancelled. They waited until I had checked out and then charged my card another $40! After messaging them, they said it was the cancellation charge. I told them I ended up staying that night? And they said too bad too sad you cancelled first. Such bullshit. Smile to your face and then charge your card behind your back. It also should be NOTED that if they had mentioned any such cancellation fee at the time, I wouldn’t have cancelled and would have made use of the bed I was ALREADY paying for all day!! Despite multiple messages back and forth once I saw the charge on my card after I had left, no refund was offered. Ridiculous really. SUCH a shame such a nice hostel, but they are snakes 😓

This hostel was really cute and staff was helpful. Breakfast was great and authentic oaxacan food. One thing I was slightly surprised about was the indoor/outdoor bathrooms which would attract a lot of mosquitoes. Not a huge minus but to keep in mind. Second point is that it is not safe for women at night some women from the hostel have been followed. So for going out not the best.

This was a nice colourful hostel with a warm atmosphere. However, it was very hot in the private rooms with just a fan. It would have been nice to have a screen door to be able to keep the balcony door open while keeping mosquitoes out. The breakfast was delicious! We wished it opened earlier. Staff was friendly and helpful. Finally, the location is a bit out of the way (15min walk outside of Centro) and we did not feel comfortable walking home alone after sunset.
