Azulik is an incredibly beautiful museum and absolutely worth visiting while in Tulum. The space blends indoor and outdoor areas and feels more like an immersive art experience than a traditional museum. Live trees are integrated throughout the structure, and the entire place feels like a large, elevated treehouse.
Entry to the museum and rooftop costs 400 pesos, which gives access to the main indoor spaces and the rooftop areas. There is a more expensive ticket option, around 1,000 pesos, that includes access to the gardens, a small pool, and a credit toward dining at their restaurant, though we didn’t choose this option and can’t speak to the restaurant experience.
The architecture is stunning and very zen. One of the most memorable features is the hammocks suspended above ground on the rooftop, which are both beautiful and slightly intimidating. The atmosphere is calm, quiet, and reflective, and we visited during the day on a Sunday when it was not crowded at all. I imagine it would also be an amazing place to visit around sunset.
Right next door is a well regarded restaurant called Sylvia, which we didn’t have time to try but which looks like a farm to table style spot and seems worth checking out as part of the visit.
Overall, Azulik is a unique and memorable experience and one of the most visually striking places we visited in Tulum.
