Azur Hotel, near Antalya, Turkey - Explore & Book

"In my many years of hotel reviewing, this is one of the happiest places I’ve stayed. Staff welcome you with open arms and beaming smiles; by day three, they’re kissing your children like a favourite aunt. At breakfast tables shaded by mulberry and palm trees, and laid with fresh-picked loquats, homemade poppy seed jam and juicy tomatoes, guests - mostly from Germany, England and Turkey, many with kids in tow - greet each other with broad grins and glowing accounts of the previous day’s gulet excursion. The gardens here are so idyllic - fringed with blood-red hibiscus, orange lilies and rampant dogrose - that you feel as if you’ve unearthed a 21st-century Eden. You’d barely guess that there are 32 cabins and houses among them, screened by citrus trees. These, in truth, are compact and not particularly stylish, but they’re comfy and very good value. And you'll spend most of your day outside, either around the large and lovely pool, or on the stunning pebble-and-sand beach of Cirali, just 5 minutes' walk away. We rate this as one of Europe’s most stunning beaches: fully two miles long, backed by pine-covered mountains, flanked on one side by the Lycian ruins of Olympos, and on the other by the natural flames of the Chimaera. Paradise indeed. Highs It’s a stunning part of the world, perfect for coastal hikes, snorkelling, boat trips, exploring ancient ruins or just lazing on beach loungers (at their sister restaurant) The gardens really are a treasure: hidden hammocks, canopied tea houses, lush lawns, all tended by three full-time gardeners The pool is a godsend in the scorching summer, particularly for energetic children Dinners are excellent: grilled meats and fish, salads and sweets, all served al fresco at candlelit tables Fantastic value, especially in the shoulder seasons Lows The accommodation is simple, and some guests say it is looking a bit tired The beach has become more popular with (mostly Russian) tourists, with accompanying gulet tours; but there’s acres of space We've heard reports that the beach (a turtle reserve) is no longer so turtle-friendly, with some loud music and lights at night As is common around the Mediterranean, there are stray cats (and the occasional dog) that roam the grounds freely If you haven't prepaid, the hotel prefers to settle in cash on arrival so make sure to get cash" - Michael Cullen

Spend two vacations at this hotel. Took villas 302, 207 - rooms were clean (cleaning every day), there is air conditioning, kettle, tea/coffee, rep tape, iron on request. Filtered water runs directly from the tap - you can drink. Food - breakfast: fresh and stewed vegetables, berries, fruit, cheese, buckwheat, potatoes - all fresh and delicious! On the territory of the hotel is a wonderful pool with an area for recreation - sun beds were enough for all visitors, for lunch you can eat there too. The beach is in walking distance, there are umbrellas and sun beds. Towels for the beach are also provided in the room. From moments to improve the stability of wi-fi: the presence of a local SIM card solves the issue. Spent a great vacation! The second time was with a child, 9 years old - the hotel is friendly!

We have been coming to Azur Çıralı for five years now with family and friends, and it always feels like a second home. The accommodation is comfortable, the breakfasts are delicious, and the entire property is beautifully maintained. The peaceful atmosphere, lush gardens, and close proximity to the beach make it a perfect getaway. The staff is always welcoming and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. We truly love this place and look forward to returning every year!

This is a really peaceful and tranquil hotel in a fantastic seafront location. I have truly never stayed anywhere like it, it is not a hotel it is more like a garden bungalow paradise. We stayed for a week with our 2.5yr old son. He loved walking around the grounds visiting the fish, frogs, playground and harassing the local cats. The pool area was incredible and so nice to relax around with an iced coffee or beer. Breakfast every morning was delightful, lots of fresh fruit, eggs, cheeses and breads along with juice and coffee. The beach out front is fantastic and free loungers are available, the water was so warm for swimming in. This place would not be for everyone as it is quiet and non of the usual ‘all inclusive’ type of entertainment and the bar area was very quiet. However if you are after a really peaceful break away and willing to take the slow, relaxed pace then this will be for you! We didn’t want to do a classic ‘all inclusive’ concrete block style holiday again, and we definitely found the antidote to that here. There are only two reasons I would hold off from giving a 5 star review - 1) Wi-Fi did not stretch to our bungalow so we’re limited on internet use throughout the stay to the communal areas. If you do not use internet too much this may not bother you but me and my partner both use the internet regularly and had a toddler with us who likes his screen time to calm down so it was a slight problem first us. 2) Could be slightly more energy from some of the staff, whilst all were generally friendly enough some seemed a bit ‘flat’ - maybe fatigue at the end of a long season. All in all really enjoyed the stay and we hope to return one day.

Fantastic oasis of escape. Beautiful gardens hide the cosy cabins in little nooks of flowering shrubs, climbers and ramblers. The pool is perfectly sized for the numbers fo guests and the beach a short walk away to an idyllic spot. Three of the family used the Pilates studio every morning with its beautiful views of the mountains and very efficient aircon!. Food and drink is well priced and I have to say the staff are wonderful. They work their socks off and are always on hand to make a pool side smoothie or a well cooked omelette for breakfast. It was very hot so our excursions were limited to a walk to the incredible ruin of Olympus - such a blessing to be so close, and a cycle hire and walk up to the flames of the Chimera. All in all a dream stay - (not least the two England victories we watched in friendly bars in town!)

We just returned from a week at the Azur hotel. There was six of us - grandparents, parents, and children ages 11 and 6. We had a wonderful time. This is the perfect holiday for families who want something for each generation. The gardens are incredible, accommodation is fantastic value - the kids enjoyed exploring the gardens, saying hello to the fish in the water feature, and - of course- swimming in the pool. We loved the gardens and the setting - even the kids chilled out and it's incredible there was so much peace there (with our excited children). Dilek looked after us so well, ordering taxis for day visits (Phaselis), or the Chimera, recommending things to do - the breakfasts were wonderful too. Cirali and the surrounding area is beautiful - there's so much to see and do. We will be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Azur Hotel. We stayed in two next-door bungalows (208 and 210) fully immersed in nature with beautiful gardens all around, including chickens! The pool is lovely and refreshing with sun loungers all around (for some welcome shade). And what's great is that the beach is just a 5 minute walk away through the hotel premises, again with sun loungers to use free of charge. The beach was almost deserted even in early August. The restaurants in the village were all great all serving local food. Our favourite restaurants were The Village Garden and Yakamoz. The staff at the Azur Hotel were all friendly and helpful suggesting the day trips we could do. All their suggestions were perfect! Would definitely recommend this lovely hotel and will return.

Do not believe the pictures that you have seen at the hotel and booking.com website, especially if you are after a villa at the hotel ground. From booking.com web site, we had searched for a villa that was in the garden as we like Cirali for the reason of having accommodation amongst the orange/lemon trees. When we arrived at the Azur hotel, they took us to an apartment (supposedly a 'villa') within a car park at the edge of the hotel grounds. The entrance of accommodation was dirty and below the level where the hotel staff were staying! the external of the accommodation was NOT a villa (as we had paid for in good faith) but a dirty flat complex! We refused to stay there and asked them take us to the villa we booked but they said this room was allocated to our family via Booking.com... The reality of the situation is that the villa shown in the photos on booking.com does not exist in the Cirali Azur hotel complex. |Eventually they took us a wooden Chalet for the first 4 nights but the final night we had to move to another accommodation as the room was allocated to another guest. The final room entrance that they allocated for the last night was off the restaurant! Not an ideal end to our holiday.|We had paid (in good faith) a huge value for a lovely looking villa, but we ended up staying in much cheaper accommodation!

We just spent a week at Azur Hotel as a family (2 adults, 3 kids) and it was lovely. Great location so close to the beach and so close to so many restaurants. Grounds were beautiful and kids loved the pool. We filled ourselves with the excellent breakfast every day.
