Aaahh I give this place TEN stars if I could cuz it's so BEAUTIFUL! I mean what is better than hearing actual ocean sounds while eating! The food was amazing! The view, the atmosphere, the service! Ugh everything was just perfect! Especially server who's name, I believe, is Adrian. He was so fantastic and welcoming! Me and my sister were on the island for a week and we were almost every day cuz of just how much we loved it. It definitely was out comfort while here in Belize and we hope to come back and visit this restaurant soon!! All love!! ☺️🫶🏼

This place is a gem! The food is one of the best in the area. The coffee is great from the cafe. The beaches are clean, the pier needs some work but gets better every time I visit.

From the pickup from the airport,(Thanks Richard) until being dropped off, ( Thanks Nicole), our stay could not have been more pleasant. The people always make the Difference, Valerie, Nicole & Maria could not have been more accommodating or helpful. Danny, Adrian, & Joe provided 1st class service at the charming & comfortable restaurant. The food was great! Thanks chef Jeff. Thanks for the fresh coconut water Lato. The beachside cabanas are clean(Thanks Laicy(sp?) quaint & comfortable. The staff love working here, and it shows. 5 stars.

Our stay at Azure del Mar was nothing short of amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome. We stayed in one of their cabins and it was excellent. It was clean and modern and had everything you could possibly need. The hotel has a pool and they also offer paddle boards and kayaks free of charge. The grounds are incredibly well groomed which makes it feel like a complete paradise. If you snorkel along the deck, you can also see some coral. We had the best time at Azure del Mar and will definitely come back. Highly recommend!

Excellent rooms and location. I stayed in a beachfront cabin right beside the ocean, the inside was beautiful with fan, air conditioning, very clean bathroom with shower. Outside I had a porch with chairs and a hammock facing the beach shaded by palm trees. The bed was very comfortable with good pillows, they make towel swans on your bed and decorate the towels with fresh flowers. The room had a fridge with drinking water and a coffee maker stocked with coffee, cream and sugar. The whole place is kept very clean, they sweep the outside and rake the beach every morning, the restaurant, bar, rooms, pool, et. every area I saw was spotless clean. The pool goes from 3 ft on the sides to 5 ft in the middle, and the water is great super clean. They also have a restaurant and bar that is very good. The drinks and food are a bit pricey for Belize, but the quality and convenience of having it right there maybe 20 feet from the door of your cabin makes it worth paying a bit more. There are only 8 cabins and 2 large family suites in the whole resort, it feels very cozy and exclusive. The ocean is shallow up until the end of the dock, great place to relax in the water and for little kids to swim. Aguitis walk by in the morning, sometimes they come to the beach, there are a lot of tropical birds and little lizards, but no mosquitoes by the beach. Very relaxing and stress free resort.

Fantastic luxury boutique hotel with cabanas on the beach. Excellent restaurant and outstanding staff that made sure the both knew everyone and all our needs were catered for. They have bikes, kayaks and snorkeling all free and golf carts for rent at a small fee. An extremely romantic setting and getaway.

Saw this resort and restaurant on the way back to our house and stopped for a great waterfront lunch!|This is an open thatched roof theme over the bar and then outside seating that had shades overlooking the water and beach.|Great location, service and lunch menu, would certainly recommend.

I chose Azure Del Mar based on the TripAdvisor reviews, in particular from other solo travelers. They were right! It is a special place and I had a wonderful trip there. The staff are all so welcoming and the service and hospitality are very personal and excellent. Maria greeted me by name before I had met her or introduced myself! She, and all of the staff, are exceptional. It was evident that the staff feel a part of a team and enjoy their jobs. They have very strong and supportive leadership. I needed a trip that would be restorative and this was exactly where to do that. The week I was there, the cabanas were not all booked, and I often had the whole beach or pool to myself (very private islandy:)), or at most there were 3-4 people in the area for a time. I personally really appreciate that anyone is welcome to come and enjoy the amenities as a part of a larger community. It was never over crowded as a result, but I also was there as the high season was ending and low season was beginning. The food at the restaurant was good and there are other places easily within walking distance if you would like other choices. There is a bakery and store within walking distance as well. I usually choose places where I can explore the community more readily without needing to rent a car. I knew that Maya Beach was a slight distance from Placencia, but I never regretted my choice to be a bit more removed. You can go into town or go on tours/daytrips and they can help arrange these things. I had thought I would go more places, but I honestly just needed to sit on a beach and swing in a hammock and was perfectly content staying put. The cabanas are unique and quite comfortable. It was so nice to stay on the beach affordably. You can hear the waves from bed and there was often a wonderful breeze. The cabana has a mini fridge, microwave, kettle, french press, and ground coffee. I took a shuttle from PGIA and a flight to return, with Azure Del Mar providing a ride to the Placencia Airport. There was always wifi available. I highly recommend Azure Del Mar and hope you have as wonderful an experience there.
