Azure Del Mar

We would absolutely stay here again! They were wonderful, especially with laundry service, where they didn’t overcharge us at all. The food was great and the location was perfect with an actual beach (not so common in San Pedro and Caye Caulker)! They had espresso drinks available, which was such a bonus. Maria was wonderful and so was the manager - we loved our stay and I absolutely recommend this mid-range stay to anyone looking to enjoy beach-side accommodation as an affordable price. :)

We loved this little slice of paradise. We were upgraded to the seahorse cabana, which is on its own, right on the beach. It was magical. It’s a very comfortable and enjoyable place. The service was warm and friendly. The restaurant was right on the beach. Good food. Flowers on the table. It felt very nice. Overall it was a very quiet place. Very relaxing. The deck is partly under repair, but it was nice to walk out and see the stars. We rented a golf cart to go to town and that was very cool. Highly recommended Azure Del Mar!

Amazing stay! My family stayed for 7 nights in November and to quote my son, it was a 10 out of 10 trip. This was our first time to Belize and we wanted to be somewhere that was quiet, peaceful and beautiful - Azure Del Mar was that and then some. |The journey down is about 2 hours and 15 minutes from Belize Int'l Airport - the hotel arranged a pick up and drop off for us. You can fly on a small place to Placencia which will be faster. |The hotel is outside of the village of Placencia and sits in a nice quiet section. It's not a big resort, I think about 6 cabanas plus a few guest rooms. The beach is really pretty and quiet - we went in every day rain or shine. We saw sting rays our last day and the water is pleasantly warm. There's also a pool if that's your thing. |We stayed in Stingray, which had a direct ocean view. It was cozy for 2 adults and a 7 year old but we made it work and wouldn't have changed a thing. Bed was comfy, there's a small fridge and microwave as well. It was about 10 steps to the restaurant and 30 to the water. |The restaurant was really top notch. Breakfast has about 10 different options from local to more US friendly. Pancakes and french toast were big hits for our son - the Mayan breakfast and Belizean were my faves. Lunch has sandwiches, burgers, salads, etc. And the dinner menu is SO Good. We didn't try the Korean bbq but thoroughly enjoyed our meals every night - we ate here every night, that's how good it was. My faves - the Bi Bim Bop (Korean bowl) and the Orange Chicken. |They have bikes for free, golf carts are about $10 per hour and they can give you a lift one way to the village. There's also taxis. If you're going to be very mobile - having a golf cart rented for the week is probably worthwhile. The ride to town is about 25 minutes via golf cart. There's a small grocery store walking distance + a few restaurants. There's a Publics (bigger grocery store) about 15 min golf cart away and then at the end of the peninsula is the village. |Lastly - the staff are so kind and helpful. We felt well cared for and welcomed every day. |Highly highly highly recommend.

Belize is a hidden gem of the world. Smallest country in the world. Official language is English. Only country speaking English in between South America and Central America. |Staying in Azure Del Mar Belize was an excellent amazing experience. I was staying at Beach front and Garden front Cabana.|I had a great time staying here at this resort. Neat and clean and comfortable relaxing atmosphere. Tropical weather.|Staff are excellent! Especially Reception team. Maria and Nicole at the reception desk excellent in their hospitality, they are very professional and friendly too. Very positive. Thank you Maria and Nicole.|Friendly staff.||Food is delicious and healthy. The restaurant team working very hard and making everyone happy. |The best fish curry I ever had. So delicious.|Thank you chef and the team.|Lots of water related activities here. Stay nearby Sea is calming and refreshing. I had lots of walking around this area. So beautiful. It reminds me my home state in Kerala India. Lots of coconut trees, a sense of nostalgic feeling.|Where the jungle meets the sea or beach.

Our stay at Azure del Mar was beyond AMAZING! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. We arrived in Belize City very late and then had a long drive into Placencia. Maria, one of the receptionist waited for us to arrive even though it was passed her working hours and asked the kitchen staff to prepare food for us to have for when we arrived. The entire staff was friendly and went out of their way to make our 6 night stay incredible. The resort has beautiful views. Its literally on the beach. We ate dinner and had drinks every night we were there and had the most amazing views with our food and drinks. Our suite was perfect for our family. It is in a safe location so much so that we felt comfortable letting our kids roam around the resort on their own even at night. Everything was always clean. My boyfriend and I had a couples massage out on the dock and even though it waa windy the staff made it happen and it was the most amazing massage I've had listening to waves and feeling the wind on us during our massages. I cannot say enough good this about this place. We were so sad to leave.

Azure Del Mar is more than just a hotel; we found it to be our Caribbean paradise. It provided much needed mesmerizing escape from stressful everyday life. After landing in Belize city and 2 hours 20 minutes car ride we had dived into soft, powdery sandy beach on the turquoise waters. Our vibrant and romantic cabana had stunning views that seemed plucked from a postcard. At the front desk, Valerie greeted us with warm smiles and genuine hospitality, immediately making you feel at home amid this tropical heaven. Just steps away near reception lies an adorably quaint coffee shop brimming with diverse choices. Caramel latte with ice was my favorite. The on-site restaurant was a great bonus where breakfast, lunch, and dinner meld into unforgettable culinary experiences accompanied by whispers of ocean waves and stunning water view. You can bring your drinks on the beach or at the pool. If you are into fishing just go fishing off the pier or enjoy poolside oasis. Complimentary kayaks and paddleboards make exploring easy while bicycles offer riding around in style; don't forget to rent one of their golf carts for fun as you cruise through local sights! The vibrant town of Placencia isn’t far either—merely 7 miles away—where you can meet locals in handful of good restaurants and bars for a drinks and great time. Bearfoot bar on the water is highly recommended, especially if you want to experience nightlife in Placencia. Cabanas can get really hot during the day, but they are equipped with fans and AC. If you don't care about ocean view book a room in main building for more AC temperature control. We are already making plans from next year.

Great experience. Loved the location and intimate setting and away from crowds. Only a 20 minute golf cart ride to Placencia Village. Highly recommend!

From the beautiful and peaceful beach to hooking a huge snapper off the dock, the fishing was next level. 🎣🌴🔥 What made it even better? The people. Maria (our reservation expert) was absolutely amazing — super helpful, friendly, and made everything smooth from booking to check-in. Joe and Daniel at the bar were a blast great drinks, great conversation, and even better energy.
