Yelp
Overall, I liked staying here, and I would probably stay here again. I'm just going to list out what I thought were the pros and cons:
Pros: the service was friendly, especially Angie, who was super attentive, sweet and on top of everything.
It's cute, the bed is comfortable, and the kitchenette was nice. I liked that they provided cruiser bikes, and the drinks by the pool were really good.
I liked the fire pit outside, and Angie brought us some cozy blankets when it got cool outside.
You had the option of a continental breakfast brought to your room every morning. Greek yogurt, granola, and muffins. They were pretty yummy.
They have parking out front, and the lobby is really cute with the typical mid century modern flare.
I liked the location in a little residential neighborhood surrounded by cute houses, but my boyfriend thought it was a little far from town. It was definitely walking distance, so I still considered it a good location.
They provide robes. :-)
Cons:
I don't care about no TV because I don't watch TV on vacation, but they were very clear about the fact that there were no TVs on the website. What they should've said was NO CLOSET OR COUNTER SPACE IN THE BATHROOM! To be clear, the rooms are quite spacious, and, at minimum, they could've put an armoire in the rooms. There is absolutely no closet space so you have to hang everything on hooks right inside the door and it looks messy. I like to feel like I'm in a clean and tidy space. I don't want to see a bunch of clothes hanging at the foot of my bed. While the shower was a nice size, the bathroom was quite small, and there was absolutely no counter space, just a teeny, tiny sink.
I have no idea what kind of hair care products they use, but I can usually get by three days without washing my hair and I work out every day. I didn't even work out while I was here and I had to wash my hair twice. Their shampoo and "creme rinse" (I don't think I've heard that word since 1987) left my hair feeling dirty and waxy.
The $50 per day "resort fee." I'm pretty sure there are only 12 rooms, and it's just not a resort. It's a renovated motel. Yes, they give you the breakfast and you can take the bikes and they give you one "welcome slushy," which we didn't cash in on, but why not give you one slushy per day? Why do you get punished for staying more than one day. If you only stay one day you get a slushy 100% of the days... I don't know if the math doesn't work for me. I bet it was good, too, based on my pool bar cocktail!
To me, a resort has a spa, a restaurant, a closet, counter space...you get it.
The air-conditioning worked, but the room wasn't really temperature-controlled. It got hot, then freezing, then hot. There wasn't much middle ground.
Not that I realllly care, but they call their snacks in the room an Honor Bar, yet there are prices listed, which I assume they charge you for if you take them. That's not really an Honor Bar, it's just a mini bar. Just call it what it is .
I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm picking them apart. I actually liked it here, but they have a few things they can definitely work on over time.
