Great spot at a very great location. Just a few minutes from the bus terminal and the famous Los Dedos momument. I stayed here during off season so the bikes were free to use. The breakfast was good and the beds comfy. Spot clean and Tony the owner is the coolest dude you will ever meet. Also it was a great price. Well worth the value. Stay here.

Dirty rooms, poor facilities and very VERY unfriendly owners. No respect or help, they look down on you. Once you checkout they won't let you use the bathroom, shower or kitchen even if you have to wait 8 or 9 hours for a bus in the evening. It's definitely the worst hostel I've stayed in during my entire 1 year South America trip. DEFINITELY AVOID this place!

We left after 1 of our 2 nights stay here. No security whatsoever. Arm bands are given out so the staff can tell who stays there. But the staff never checked or even looked up once when we came in and out. The doors had no locks and the lockers which are tiny had broken locks on them so no security whatsoever.... The place looked nothing like the pictures on the website. It looks like a hovel. A collection of shacks attached to a main building. The staff were really nice but again never checked to see who was coming or going. Oh how could I forget the strong pungent smell of mould and mildew in the place. So much so you felt unhealthy in the morning. Whatever about selling rooms in a place like this.... At least show people what its really like on the website and explain the lack of security in the place. Never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Tony and Marcelo are the BEST owners of a hostel one can expect to meet. They both go over and above by assisting their guests with every need. Their staff included Marta and Fiorella who were two of the nicest ladies one could ever meet. They all know how to make their guests very relaxed and comfortable. The dining area is where it all happens which has a lovely morning breakfast and the perfect set up for the parilla, mate sipping, and chatting with locals and guests from all countries and walks of life. The location is ideal in Punta and within walking/biking distance to everything. B&B has lots of bikes to rent, comfortable beds, great kitchen, and the private backyard is awesome. I would stay at no other hostel in Punta del Este because this one is like a home to me! Love the staff for sure.

Nice and clean, great staff. There's toilets for guys and girls apart from the ones in the rooms. The bar/kitchen is a very nice place to know everyone. The only bad things are that there are a lot of 'strict' rules in the walls (but they're probably directed for those with little or no hostel experience) and that the men's room at least didn't lock.||||Also, it is a good place if you like to rest. It has good social areas but they're sort of small (as is the entire hostel), and so even with a lot of people I think it's quite a calm place.

This is a great hostel to stay in if you are in Punta! It's just a 5 minute walk from the bus terminal and to both beaches. The centre is just a 10 minute walk and the port is about 15/20 minutes. The hosts are amazing. They serve coffee, bread, butter and jam, and also some fruits! There is a kitchen were you can cook your own meals. The rooms a very clean and showers are amazing!!!

I stayed here several times in 2014. My first time in 2015 and I am more impressed! The owners, Fiorella and Antonio, have added more bath and bedrooms. Plus the front area is now a cozy outside bistro fully enclosed for added privacy. The parilla is still in the backyard where there is lots of good barbecues, drinks and fun. They also started renting surfboards as people are discovering this country has waves! The location in Punta del Este is perfect which is only 2 blocks to the beach. This is my favorite hostel in all of Uruguay and mainly because the owners are awesome.

We stayed at this hostel in off season. So if you travel in high season your experiences might be different.||||We didn't like our stay at this hostel at all. We stayed in the 'twin room' which is in the basement and was freezing cold. There is no key to the room so it's more like a two bed dorm.||||The kitchen is really not great. It has two hobs to cook on but else not much to offer. If you want to cook pasta and a sauce you will be fine but other than that you might struggle.||||The bathrooms were quite dirty and the shower was warmish. ||||The location is good though. 5 mins to the bus terminal and to the 'hand' and to the beaches. Punta shopping mall is a 25 min walk away for cinema and a larger supermarket (something to do in off season)||||Most shops are closed and there really is almost nothing going on in the town during this time. I would stay here a night max purely because of the proximity to the bus station.
