Guitta was such a warm and welcoming host during our recent stay. And Claude made us delicious breakfasts each morning. We loved the High Priestess room, a corner spot with antique furniture, a clawfoot tub and windows offering light and views to the cobbled streets. Plus, the B&B is in a fantastic location, on a quiet street but steps from all the sights and bustling streets. Also, when I left a small item in the room after we departed, Guitta kindly mailed it to me, declining all offers of payment. We will definitely return there for future visits to QC and are grateful to Guitta for her hospitality.

The best part was the location and free parking . The not so great house is stuffy, old smelling. Our room and the house is a miss mash of stuff. Covers thrown over everything. We have stayed in " historical homes" and they are bright and fresh, where you can appreciate its beauty. Treacherous climb up to the 3rd floor on slanted narrow steps - not for seniors or liitle kids. Room was hot - big window and tiny screen for air. Despite my text messages to Guitta requesting a fan - they went unanswered. Toilet leaked water over floor. Guitta seemed to have been aware, and did not fix it. Man was sitting in pjs outside our door - felt awkward - no privacy. Improvements to be made 1. Invest in a fan for upstairs floor 2. Invest in quality toilet paper - not recycled 1 ply. 3. Have kleenex box 4.Make downstairs common area not where bedrooms are. 5. Answer messages from guests!!!! 6. Fix your plumbing !! Its not my responsibility to deal with your plumbing issues, and you did not take that into consideration when charging me full price. 7. Put some effort in for your guests I will NOT be recommending your place

The rooms have a rustic feel as expected. A very clean B & B with an updated bathroom. Onsite parking. Guitta is a lovely host and makes a delicious hot breakfast. We were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. A perfect location to walk through the old part of Quebec City. We look forward to returning again one day.

I've been to Quebec City several times, but this was my favorite place to stay. Guitta was a friendly, helpful hostess. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast each morning was excellent. Free parking was a big plus, too - the B&B is convenient to everything! I can't wait for my next visit.

My husband and I, and our daughter recently stayed six nights at this charming B&B. My husband and I had the downstairs bedroom and our daughter had a room on the second floor. The beds were very comfortable. The decor is eclectic and very nicely done and each room is different. Breakfast was wonderful with juice, fresh fruit, freshly baked croissants, choice of eggs, crepes or French toast, bacon or sausage, and coffee. Guitta is a gracious hostess who will converse with you about anything and everything. The location is ideal for visiting Quebec City and within walking distance of most of the attractions. There is also onsite parking, which is included in the cost, for maybe four cars which is great as parking in the city is at a premium. I highly recommend this B&B and would definitely stay there again.

Guitta was a wonderful host! She was very friendly and welcoming. The location was perfect to walk into town and explore Quebec City! Our room had lots of natural light, comfortable beds and a pedestal tub. The Inn itself has an eclectic mix of decor, including lots of plants which give it a homey feel. The breakfasts were delicious and filling. We wholeheartedly enjoyed out stay!!

Our stay at the James Thompson was great in every way. The location, the breakfasts, the room, and Guitta was a pleasure to meet and talk with. We enjoyed interacting with other guests. The parking was helpful and the knowledge of the city from Guitta and Claude made our stay better.

We had the most wonderful time at Guittas B&B 🤗 Our room was beautiful and equipped with anything we could ever need. It was easy to find the house and the free parking was such luxury in the middle of old Québec City. The old house is so gorgeous and comfortable, and was beautifully decorated with artwork and collectibles. We enjoyed the delicious daily breakfast and chats with other guests. The atmosphere was very cozy, welcoming and personal. We had seconds of the coffee every day as it was so tasty 🌞 Would recommend anyone to stay here!
