At Lucia's B&B we fell like we are to visit our best friend. The rooms are big, very clean and furnished with love for detail. The street is quiet, very close to the old town. The breakfast was delicious, Lucia served it at the time of your choice. Everything was perfect. To stay at Portico Rosso B&B is highly recommended!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Portico Rosso! Very close to the center and great hospitality! Every breakfast was a surprise and you may get a piece of art as your plate. Homemade bread, warm croissant and cappuccino made us feel experience the real Italy. The house has a very artistic character, like an art gallery, thanks to the owner creativity. Her attention to details made our stay memorable. The owner was very friendly, open and approachable. We definitely will book again when we visit Vicenza.Highly recommend!

The Portico Rosso is a terrific B&B in a quiet area of Vicenza about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station and 10 minutes into the center of Vicenza. |Lucia is a wonderful host and helps to make you feel right at home! She offered suggestions on sites to see in Vicenza and helped orient me to the city. The room was spacious and super clean, and the bed was very comfy. The breakfast was wonderful and just what I expect from a southern European B&B - bread, croissant, yogurt, fruit, and of course ... a cappuccino. I felt very well taken care of during my stay. The B&B rooms are air-conditioned (I was there during a heatwave), but remember that a/c elsewhere isn't the blast of arctic air in your face that we have in the US. But it cooled the room just fine!

My wife, Connie, and I stayed 3 nights at this B&B last month, and could not have been more delighted with the accommodations. This 15th century B&B is less than 10 minutes from the train and bus terminal. We stayed in the Diana Room over-looking the garden. It was quiet and peaceful, and just what we needed at the end of our 3 week holiday. You will not find a more accommodating host than Lucia. She started our day with a wonderful breakfast of juices, coffee, tea, yogurt, croissant, cheeses and pastries. It was just the right amount to begin our day. Lucia provided us with information we needed to explore Vicenza. She reviewed the various locations on the city map, which gave us an idea what we could get done for that day's adventures. We purchased a Tourist Pass (?) to allow access to multiple exhibits and museums at a reduced rate. The Teatro Olimpico ("Olympic Theatre") cannot be missed. Try and time your tour of the theatre when the sound/light show is performed. We so enjoyed our time in Vicenza all due to our friendly and helpful hostess, Lucia. We hope to make it back that way again someday.

lovely room and bathroom, easy parking, simple but perfect breakfast. Lucia was a very kind and attentive hostess and she even went next door to borrow some earl grey tea bags from a friend when I declined the herbal tea on offer. ideal location. I know it is not directly relevant to Portico Rosso but Vicenza is an absolute gem and I would happily go back

From the moment we arrived at Portico Rosso B&B we were treated like family by Lucia. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the conversations with Lucia, tips and hints on Vicenza, the garden and delicious breakfast. Lucia has a keen eye for decorating and detail, making sure her guests are well looked after. Our large ensuited bedroom overlooked the garden at the back of the property, the bed, pillows and linen were comfortable. Each morning we arrived at the long decorated dining table ready to be served delicious warm croissants, freshly squeezed juice, coffee, yoghurt with muesli, toast/bread/fruit and friendly conversations with other house guests, we were never in any hurry to leave. The B&B location was perfect, in a quiet street, easy flat walking distance to/from the train station, town centre, attractions, gelati and neighbourhood restaurants. Vicenza was a delightful city to explore for three days, full of culture, beautiful buildings and Lucia.

This is a wonderful place to stay in Vicenza. Lucia is a fabulous hostess. Our room was very comfortable. There is also a lovely living area and garden where you can relax with coffee or a drink. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. The B&B is located a short walk from the main piazza, in a quiet residential area (there is a superb local restaurant next door where I definitely recommend eating). Lucia is very helpful in terms of suggesting things to do and see. We would definitely stay here again.

We stay in many bed and breakfasts home and abroad, but this is one we will always remember. I left my heart in beautiful Vicenza and Lucia's home was such a great base for our three days exploring the city. About 10 minutes walk to the historic centre, set in a quiet street, her home is so welcoming, full of art, sculpture, books.Utterly charming. Expect home made preserves and cakes at breakfast, and lovely chats with other guests. Lucia will help you discover the beating heart of Vicenza.
