Charming cafe in the East village. My friend and I had some time to kill before heading to the airport and decided to stop here for breakfast. I ordered a regular latte and an almond croissant. My friend got a caramel latte and a slice of banana bread. Both were delicious! The cafe has several milk and flavoring options for coffee as well as a larger breakfast menu if you want more than a quick snack. The barista who helped us was very kind. He even offered to help charge my friend’s phone behind the counter. There are some tables that are designated only for dining and say something along the lines of “laptop free zone,” but I can’t remember exactly. Another customer came in with their dog to order and then left. I assume this means the cafe is pet friendly. There was a sign in the cafe that said one hour limit for each table so we stayed for almost an hour and then headed on our way. Overall, a calm cafe with a variety of foods.

I had [insert favorite dish if relevant e.g., "the avocado toast with poached eggs"], and it was easily one of the best I've had in the city. The ambiance is cozy yet creative perfect for a quiet morning with a book, a catch-up with a friend, or even a casual work session. You can tell this isn’t just another generic cafe B Cup has character. Definitely worth the detour. Support local, and don’t miss out on this place!

The two eggs on ciabatta may be one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. I originally ordered to go, but stayed a little while I ate. The atmosphere and music were too on point to leave right away. Great spot- will be returning!

Obsessed. How have I been living in the east village for 11 years and only discovering the magic of b cup now?!? Perfect spot for tahini date shakes on a hot day or shnitzel lunch. Iced tea and lemonade is amazing as is their Israeli breakfast. We now go several times a week. Absolutely delicious food, you feel like you’re in Tel Aviv.. on Avenue B ;)

Just amazing. I've been to the old location which was very welcoming but somehow the new one has an even better atmosphere. I love the collection of numerous items on the menu, making this establishment a true eatery. I enjoyed the delicious schnitzel, pita and the vegetables and fruits - they tasted fresh. I recommend B Cup to any individual that looks for a good meal or drink with the feel of a vibrant café

Always loved B Cup. Was a treasure to the East Village and especially Avenue B. Just found that since their location change, everything has shifted in a bad direction. Have heard this from many people in the community, leading to some people opting for other places all together. Examples are price increases, tape over the outlets, and other miscellaneous rules or you can't sit at that table policies which just take from the experience. I used to go a few times a week, now probably once a month. Completely understand that the team is trying to run a business, but I think there are some fine lines being crossed.

Delicious and lovely ambiance! The workers were so friendly too. Loved this spot for a healthy fresh little lunch. I got the chicken mozzarella sandwich on wheat. So yummy!

Tucked away on a quiet New York street, this cozy café is a true gem. The food is fresh and full of flavor, the atmosphere is warm and relaxing, and the service is excellent. I’ll definitely be back — it’s the kind of spot you can’t visit just once.

I came here to work remotely from and here's my thoughts: - music can be a bit loud for meetings - good WiFi - half of the tables are dedicated to no-laptop working - service is good friendly - it's overall a cozy spot if I need a quick spot to do work - as for the food, the banana bread was yummy and I asked them to heat it up

I'm fighting the urge to not go back to this place every day. Both sandwiches were amazing. I didn't try any of the beverages but there seem to be a lot of people going in and out just for drinks. They have dining only seating accommodated, which is nice for people who just wanna have a quick meal. I would totally come here with my laptop someday. They also have a sofa in the back. The sandwiches did take a little long to come out so if you don't have time, you probably shouldn't come here. But definitely give the sandwiches a try sometime!

A reliable little cafe that hasn't changed much over the years! They have a really wide espresso selection, a lot of non coffee options as well like lemonades and teas. And their food is top notch! In my last reviews (7 years ago) I mentioned the breakfast sandwiches, but their Grilled Chicken Sandwich with scallion mayo is also delicious. For a little neighborhood cafe.. it's impressive. If you live in the area this could easily become your new go to cafe!

haven't tried the coffee here, yet. did stop in to grab a snack. ended up getting an Inbal's Peanut Butter Cookie. it was really good, very peanut buttery, and not overly sweet. there's a huge menu of both savory and sweet items as well as a full coffee menu. cafe closes by 4:30 pm each day. there's a good amount of seating. well lit and clean. well maintained. welcoming decor. service is friendly.

This is such a lovely cafe option in the neighborhood and a place I enjoy coming too after my workouts. They have everything you could want and everything is so well done. Coffee? Delicious. I just got the pumpkin caramel latte over the weekend and it was a delightful treat. They had smoothies that absolutely hit the spot (though when I went in yesterday I don't think I saw the smoothie sign so I'll have to check if they still have them. possibly seasonal?) I also have tried a handful of their sandwiches and I really enjoy them. My favorite/ go-to is the avocado sandwich on the rosemary ciabatta bread. For anyone from the south, this hits my craving for the 'california avocado' sandwich from Atlanta Bread company. Not quite the same but definitely better and fresher then the AB sammy! I love the aioli that B cup puts on this sammy. I also really like their brie and apple sandwich. Hits the spot. I love the cute casual coffee house vibe in here. Feels very local and calm. they have a few seating options so perfect for meeting a friend for coffee or doing some quick work/ reading ( 2 hour table seating limit!). A great option in the neighborhood! 4.9/5

Great coffee and excellent service. They recently upgraded the few outdoor tables by adding big umbrellas to shield the sun, which is great especially if you have a dog in tow. Of all the 3 or 4 coffee spots I frequent, they MAKE THE BEST ICED MOCHA. I wish they had frequent coffee purchase punch card. The food is good but a little pricey.

My bf just brought breakfast back from this place. Woah had to leave a review right away. 1. Egg wrap (4/5)... solid smear of cheese, egg, spinach, well balanced 2. Eggs on Chiabatta (5/5)... holy hell this is amazing. Probably the best breakfast sandwich I've had in a minute. 3. Coffee was OK Will definitely come back for that chiabatta!

The bagel we got was pretty good, the picked onions were really good. The iced latte was good as well, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend the matcha. It wasn't to my taste as much, it was a little watered down and didn't taste as creamy or smooth as other matcha I've had. The service was good and very fast, and the ambiance was really nice and bustling--definitely gets packed.

A casual cafe with a lot of character and friendly staff. We went for breakfast and I had a gluten free egg, prosciutto, arugula wrap. My husband had a non-gluten free everything bagel sandwich with the same ingredients. Both were nicely toasted and the portions were big. The cappuccino and latte were tasty, too. I'd go back to try their lunch sandwiches.

A chill vibe to grab a decent priced coffee. Usually the seats fill up fast so I just get my drinks takeout. The service is great, very friendly and accommodating, and the coffees are nice to stroll by the park with.

Holy moly! Wanted to give 5 stars but it's expensive and the portions are small. However... I'm obsessed with this cafe! I just engulfed their prosciutto sandwich and I'm left drooling. Superb composition of ingredients. I do a little switcharoo and replace the mozzarella with goat cheese. So nice that they allow us to make these substitutions! Sooo on a pressed French baguette, I order prosciutto, arugula, pesto, I add sliced cherry tomatoes and of course substitute the mozzarella with goat cheese. What a flavor bomb! Delivery was lightning fast and my sandwich came so beautifully put together. Not just ingredients thrown onto bread. The cherry tomatoes were sliced perfectly and arranged on the bread in a way where every bite gets a piece (these things matter to me). The quality of the prosciutto is there, the arugula was crunchy and seasoned perfectly, pesto was fresh/packed a nice punch and the bread was of perfect density. Bravo guys!

Walked in with my dog for a quick iced coffee with mocha to go and loved how friendly the service is! I wish they had a smaller size for iced coffee (the only option is 20oz) and the coffee is a tad pricy, but pretty normal for East Village and good quality. I'd love to go back and try other things from their menu!

Swift takeout service, it is ready within my walking time of 5 min. Ordered a croissant with mozzarella and prosciutto and an iced latte. Tasty and good for a light lunch. A bit pricey.

Sandwiches are awesome. Had the chance to try the salmon on a beagle and an egg sandwich. (Go with someone so you can swap halves.) Comes with onions on the side. Staff is all happy to help with any questions. If you are planning on dining in just know it's a tight fit.

Coffee is great! I came here on a whim because of the great Yelp reviews and definitely don't regret it. I ordered a dirty chai and it was delicious! There is a possibility to substitute for your choice of milk. The indoor area is cozy and the staff lets you work and sit there for hours (I was there for 2 with my laptop!) Everyone is super friendly and it doesn't hurt that the coffee is yummy. Pro tip: I think this place is cash only - there was a sign by the register. So remember to bring bills!

I had an iced chai latte and a chocolate croissant. Chai latte was good sweetness. Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was nice! Not too quiet but not too busy.

Great vibe little local coffee but be sure you have cash on you as this is a cash or Venmo only establishment. I swing by in the morning cus I was just so happened in the neighborhood. This is definitely a local neighborhood coffee shop, a bit slow pace, a bit pricy but a norm in this area. Indoor and outdoor seating, tones of people working here in the morning on a regular week day. Ok latte and decent pastries but nothing particularly stand up.

Great drinks and a made to order menu! A nice little neighborhood spot with a cozy feel. Servers are friendly and accommodating. Just keep in mind that if you are coming to do work, come early as it will get crowded. Ordered the dirty chai latte, so yummy and the perfect amount of sweet. I would have taken. Photo of the sandwich (prosciutto, mozzarella, tomato, arugula, avocado and pesto on French baguette and pressed un a panini press) if I hadn't scarfed it down so quickly. A great spot!

This coffee house has a very cozy feeling as it's setting is similar to TV show's "Friends" where there is a couch/sofa and other small tables. There is free WiFi service as well as paid internet access. They have a gargantuan selection of teas and sweets. B Cup is aba as East Village Cafe. It is a cut neighborhood coffee house that is a good fit with the vibe of East Village. B Cup Cafe is far much better than your typical Starbucks of a warmer feeling and inviting.

The best cafe in the neighborhood. I go there for breakfast and to work every morning. The coffee is great and breakfast is good cafe fare with an Israeli twist. The staff is professional, courteous and eager to help with anything, including printer jams. Huge, sunny windows up front. There're tables to eat and work at, though I prefer the comfy sofa and chairs. WiFi of course, but also the aforementioned printer, a key exchange box for arbnb users, and you can order your food on their app for easy pickup. No one talks to anyone else, which I notice millennials like, but as an older guy, I can still say hello, how are you to people and they generally return the greeting. Bear in mind, they're cash only. There's an ATM with $2.50 fee there. The one in the smoke shop down the block is $1.75.

Mint lemonade, mmmM! Walked in for a cup of mint lemonade. It was scorching hot outside and I needed something cold and refreshing, quick. This place definitely did the job. I came in around noon on a Friday and it was pretty packed with customers eating lunch, some with salads and others with cups of cappuccinos. Their salads caught my eye and I think I'll check them out again next time I'm around the area.

Awesomely quaint cafe with extremely friendly and helpful service. Lots of great menu options available to compliment your coffee or tea choice. And if you are unsure of what you want or you don't see exactly what you want on the menu board, ask and the kind people working there will gladly offer suggestions. These are amongst the most pleasant people I've found in NYC...it's quite refreshing.

Everything there is two levels up than what you're used to. The tahini cookies are out of this world and melt in your mouth. The sandwiches are so fresh and thoughtfully crafted. I come here whenever I'm around. The ambiance is great and you can sit indoor or outdoor on this quite area of alphabet city. Come check it out !

If you are looking for some wonderland sort of coffee shops, B cup should be your destination! The second I stepped in, I almost felt like being inside an imaginary castle. It was trendy, yet not overwhelming; that I could sit down and enjoy my favorite matcha latte under the sun. Aside from the matcha drinks, B cup also serves Israeli breakfast (with scrambled egg, salad and olives), as well as Shakshuka (remember Jack's wife Freda? Ok you hear me). They have quite an extensive menu so make sure you have something in mind before ordering lol. Cash only place, but they do have an ATM machine inside the shop.

The nicest hardest working people work here. The food is fresh as it can be as they make it when you order it. A real neighborhood fixture. Never dissappoints.

Thank you thank you thank you yelp for bringing me here! I've been an East Villager on Ave B for over a year now and have yet to check this place out. In fact, I've never walked by it as it is never on my daily trajectory for work. However, in an effort to stray from my usual EV coffee spots, I stumbled upon B Cup. This place must always be filled on a Saturday morning because the hum of Saturday morning brunchers and hustle and bustle of the staff seemed natural in the colorful space. While the menu is VAST and has a variety of sandwiches, salads, and pastries - I opted for a soy latte and vegan molasses cookie ($8 for both - $4.50 for the latte because I added soy, $4 regularly). The cookie didn't taste vegan (whatever that tastes like) and the latte was creamy and had the perfect espresso silkiness. Only bummer was how hard it was to find a seat, but that's no fault of the place. Next time I'm going to try one of the yummy sandwiches. I'll be back for sure!!

Good Israeli breakfast, but my daughter ordered a bagel with jam and it was put on an everything bagel. Not pleased.

Lovely little cafe tucked in the corner of ABC village. The decor, signage, menu, and everything about this cafe screams hip, quirky, loving, and welcoming. They have tables reserved for non-laptop using diners/patrons which is really nice! The menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. The windows are great for people watching--there's a lot that goes on on the corner of streets. Pastries are all handmade by the owner/barista and they're very popular! Highly recommend.

I have ordered food from here for a few years now. It is delicious! And quick delivery. Always fresh. Consistently good. I literally love all of their sandwiches. Their desserts are also excellent. I could eat their food for every meal. Highly recommend B Cup Cafe!

The B Cup Cafe is a great spot to grab coffee, breakfast, or lunch. They have good wifi and plenty of outlets, definitely a great place to work or study. Most recently I got a the mozzarella sandwich that comes with pesto, sundried tomatoes, and basil, and I also added chicken. You also have your choice of bread, so I chose the delicious rosemary ciabatta. The meal also comes with a small side salad. While I was at the cafe a few people ordered smoothies that also looked delicious. Next time I return I would love to try the banana date smoothie. Overall, I like the homey feel of B Cup Cafe and their variety of food and drink. It's a cozy place that is perfect for hanging out or working in. Tips: B Cup Cafe is cash only Seating can fill up, so I suggest arriving early to grab your spot.

The place is nice and confortable with free wifi and possible to charge phone or computer but the "barman" is not really smiling. Chocolate with chantilly around 5$ normal, not really tasty.

I absolutely adore this place! I am a frequent, at least weekly, delivery customer. I love their great selection of delicious food and their wonderfully hyperattentive and diligent service. If they get something wrong they are proactive and do their best to address it. One of my favorite spots!

I have visited B cup several times since my last review. I hoped that the environment and service would improve. It certainly has! The vibe is once again welcoming and relaxed; the food (as always) is fantastic. Over my visits I've taken many iced beverages to go, eaten in two breakfasts and one lunch, and enjoyed great service and food each time. Thank you, owners of B cup for working hard to revive and maintain the peaceful, local, "alphabet" vibe I experienced when you initially opened!

The food is good. Staff is friendly. There is a lot of seating and it's a good place to work but... Hang on cuz this review is about to get real bougie... Their mistake is in regards to the matcha latte. For the plebes out there-Matcha is green tea powder; it has 10x the caffeine as ordinary green tea but because it contains the amino acid L-theanine it has a different affect on the central nervous system than coffee. It's calming. Zen. Anyway I've order the matcha there a couple times. The first time I sent it back because it was clumpy. The second time was today. It tasted awful and I only had two sips because soon after I was nauseated. The employees do not know how to prepare matcha. Allow me to enlighten you, B-Cup and yelp philistines not refined in the art of matcha. 1) don't use culinary grade matcha; 2) use a teaspoon of powder at most unless you really know how to balance the flavor; and 3) for the love of buddha sift the cot damn matcha before you whisk it! B-Cup I really appreciate the time you've taken to read this absurdly long yelp review and lesson in matcha preparation. I look forward to getting a good matcha drink there soon. P.S. Cash only is lame.

My absolute favorite cafe. All the employees are so nice. The lattes are amazing. The menu is huge so you can basically get something great for breakfast and lunch. I just discovered this place and ended up going 3 days in a row. I definitely recommend and iced latte with almond milk!

Friend flew in from CA and her cousin suggested this location for coffee. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I hear it was good. The breakfast sandwiches were amazing! Staff was polite! Location is fairly small. We sat in the very back on benches for about 3 hours and not once was anyone rude about us leaving and they weren't pushy about our orders. Highly recommend specifically for their breakfast sandwiches.

A cute little place in Alphabet City. The cafe is slightly cramped and it can get quite busy, so get there early! At 10AM on a Sunday morning, almost every seat in the cafe was taken except for at the counter - but mostly because it was bathed in direct sunlight. I was able to swoop in on a table right after I ordered, but I ended up being stuck between a radiator and a table. :( It got quite stuffy and hot because the circulation in the cafe wasn't great, especially with the door shut. After 2 hours in the cafe, I walked out smelling like I'd spent the morning bathing in kitchen grease. Yuck. If you get your drinks to stay (which I said I wanted, but they must have misheard), it comes in a milk bottle vase, which is super cute and totally instagram-able! I can't wait to come back here to order a smoothie or a mint lemonade in said glasses. :3 Food looks delicious and fresh as well, so I will definitely need to try something off of their menu at some point. There is free wifi (just get the password from the cashier), and a restroom on the premises for customers, which makes it a great place to hunker down and study for a few hours. Plus the coffee is nice and strong so it will definitely keep you fueled up for the duration of your visit. They are cash only (!!!!), so it's great that they are partnered with the Cups app, because you can still get a cup of coffee even if you forget to grab a few bills on the way in!

The specials are delicious. The shakshuka I ordered was presented in a charming steel pan and came with half a beautifully crusty baguette that sopped up all the saucy eggs perfectly and had me wanting more. Their OJ is also fresh squeezed and refreshing and the lattes around me seemed great. Wish the seating in the back was a bit more comfortable and better suited for eating ie. Coffee table height vs bench height. We ended up there because we had a larger group of 4 and most of the tables had filled up on a busy Saturday afternoon.

I'm neighbors with B Cup and they're great! The staff and owner are friendly, and they offer a wide set of pastries alone - many gluten-free and/or vegan. I suggest starting out with the hugely popular big Oreo or the peanut butter cookies for about a buck each. B Cup is cash only, which is sometimes limiting, but they have an ATM inside. The space is pretty big and homey, with an assortment of tables, sofas, chairs, bar stools and counters, so plenty of space to sit down with your laptop or a book. There are also permanent benches outside. I definitely recommend going to this cafe if you're in the area to pick up a coffee!

Cute little cafe - corner of East 13 st. Down in Lower East Village - funky vibe and felt like a local. Free WiFi, open 7 Days a week 730 am to 7 pm. Cafe with local baked goods and staff recommended Peppermint Latte in which I did not refuse - had it with almond milk. Quick and friendly service. Space to sit in front of cafe - bar like are with couches and then working space with tables. Since the place was full, we opted for "to- go" cups and walked around the village and towards the waterfront. Latte stayed hot and yummy. Will go back and try the sandwiches and other baked goods. Love supporting local !
