Visited this place over the weekend and honestly, it turned into a full-on mini adventure! 😄 In the same area, you can explore Birla Temple, the Birla Science Museum, the art gallery, and even catch a show at the Birla Planetarium — so it’s basically a one-stop destination for culture + science + fun. It’s perfect for kids… and also for adults who refuse to grow up (like me 🤭). There’s something super exciting about learning cool stuff and staring at stars like you’re 10 again. Bonus? The ticket price is totally reasonable, so your wallet won’t cry. Definitely worth a visit!

An amazing place to spend the whole day with kids. The Planetarium is a very nice experience as is the dinosaur museum and science Centre. You get go experience science first hand to understand it better. Buying a combo ticket is best. Be sure to be there early and to not rush the experience. There is a lot of walking so be ready for that as it is all on various levels.

The shows typically last about 35 minutes and are very engaging — perfect for both kids and adults. ✅ Go on a weekday if possible — it’s usually less crowded. ✅ Combine the visit with Birla Planetarium & Art Gallery for a full educational day. ✅ Allow 2–3 hours to explore everything at a comfortable pace.

Good place to take kids for some real world exposure. Intersting place for art, artifacts, science and technology enthusiasts. It takes time to cover all the four floors in the museum hence should plan accordingly. Birla Planetarium and Observatory is also present here. Entry tickets can be taken individually or a combo that covers all the places. Well maintained and would recommend.

Although I really loved the place.. I love entire concept of interactive museum. What I really really hated is that.. these people don't allow u to take pictures in the dinosaurium. I really wanted to take a picture with the dinosaur fossil but photography and videography is strictly restricted and I wonder y.. 🤔😠.. it's maybe because those fossils r fake I guess. We traveled long to come to this place and u people won't atleast allow us to take a picture with the dinosaur. U people r disgusting. What a kill joy. I was really excited about the museum until that moment. U should really consider changing ur stupid rules. And don't get me started on the planetarium.. the video quality is poor. Besides the spherical ceiling.. there nothing much to look at.. the video looked faded and visually overall it's a big let down.

The Birla Science Museum contains some outdated exhibits, and the Birla Planetarium shows a 30-40 minute presentation on space and planets. You can find better videos and information on the internet. The place isn't worth visiting as there's nothing extraordinary here. Some satellites and space-related items might be mildly interesting, but children won't understand them without someone explaining. The ticket prices are too high—around 200 rupees per person for the museum and 200 rupees for the show. Anyone above 4 years old must buy a ticket. You can find better content on YouTube. They've collected old statues from different places in the former Andhra Pradesh state and displayed them in the garden. Salar Jung Museum has better exhibits. I bought a combo ticket for both the museum and planetarium show for 300 rupees per person. In short, it's not worth the price.

The B.M. Birla Science Centre is a treasure trove and scientific and historical artifacts and displays. The scientific displays in the ground floor, as well as the historic and prehistoric displays in the other floors including sculptures and paintings of different kinds offer a beautiful glimpse into the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of India. The Kotasaurus dinosaur is also a great spectacle along with the other fossilised remains within that museum. It is a must visit museum in Hyderabad.
