Great location, near Armenian street, Chew Jetty and many nice food places and cafes. Room is ok, for its price. Service is nice and friendly. There are some prayer sounds going on sometimes at night which can be heard from the room so light sleepers might need to be aware of this. Water also takes a while to warm up in the shower. Otherwise, would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a place to stay in the heart of GeorgeTown area!

It is pretty well maintained budget hotel and very accessible to the street art, armenian street and malls. We stayed on the second floor facing the roadside so it was quite noisy at night when motorists pass by. But nevertheless we enjoyed our time here considering the price that we paid for.

🙏🏻This was my first time traveling abroad alone.✈️ ✅ I chose to come to this city and stay here. The room I booked was on the 2nd floor (No.205) with a window that could see a wide view of the front of the hotel. Room is clean and safety😍✨ 👍🏻There was a smell in the bathroom. I found it came from the drain. 👍🏻The receptions was just friendly and take care.🙏🏻 🌹I was impressed. Overall, no problem at all checking in and out.👍🏻👌🏻

Guests coming here should definitely avoid choosing rooms with windows; you can hear the sounds of cars, motorcycles, and even people talking from outside. The worst part is that every night around 3 AM, a group gathers outside the hotel making a racket. The hotel staff say they're members of a club, but it’s just too disruptive. I intended to stay here for three nights, but two nights in a row have been like this. There's only one parking spot outside the hotel, and it’s first come, first served. I parked my car in front of the hotel worried it might get messed up by those night-owl troublemakers. I can only say that parking, soundproofing, and those club members (who I’ll just call the "crazy night owls") can really ruin a great trip. Not wanting to have bad memories during Christmas, I chose to move to another hotel for my last night. I don’t know if the rooms without windows have any soundproofing issues, so everyone should think carefully about what they want.

The room we booked have some problem so they just upgraded the room for us! Nothing much to complain about room, its just hair dryer is too old and weak, and the toilet bidet is leaking, everything else is perfect Location wise, for people who drive will have a hard time to get a parking near the hotel, because it's a busy area. The reception was just friendly and no problem at all checking in and out.

During our 2-nights-stay at the B street hotel, we shared our room 106 (Superior room) with bed bugs. After the first wave of bites on the first night, we thought they were mosquito bites. Late on the second evening, we found residues of the parasites in bed after further bites and confronted the hotel, where they claimed that the problem had never occurred before and they gave us a new room in a lower category than we had booked, which we had to accept because it was too late to change hotels. After research, the problem was reported to the hotel by customers in October 2024 (and multiple times during the last years, see reviews here), but nothing was done, which is why I now have around 50 bites all over my body, including an allergic reaction. The behavior of the staff is irresponsible, we could not sleep a night because of the parasites, could not enjoy our vacation in Penang, had to cancel day trips because of a hotel change and are now struggling with health reactions and have to have all of our luggage cleaned to avoid spreading. We requested that the entire booking should be refunded, but they refused to even refund one night. No apologie, no refund, they didn't even refund us the difference between the expensive room we booked and the cheaper one we had to move to. They are not taking this issue seriously, as the guy on the reception was laughing, not offering any helpful solution, and didn't let us talk to the manager. Furthermore, the guy at the reception claimed that the mattress would be disposed of and the room professionally cleaned, which is a lie. The hotel is fully booked and we saw the cleaning staff cleaning room 106 as they do every day. No replacement of the matress whatsoever. Worst experience ever!

The room is small compact without windows, which might be plus, because of street noise and smells. There is a lot of repair need it, sink there is hardly any water coming, shower head splashing your head as they have hand shower too,, ..... At the end receptionist typed in address for my grab for the cruise not for a ferry ...they really don't help at all... The hotel do not control what is going on during the night, some guests running around the hotel 2am, keeping alarm on doors while they talking to each other loud in the corridors, rooms are not sound proof, you can here from the other room everything.

Paid about 115myr per night thru agoda. Location is good, room was acceptable clean. Location was really good and convenient. Shower was tricky to get right temperature, pillows had dirty spots all over it (zoom in pic) and was never changed when room was cleaned. Had room with window which was good, but it also meant getting woken up at 7am from the mosque blasting their prayers... if ur a heavy sleeper, shouldnt ve a problem, but light sleepers like me were woken up.
