I came here mainly to try out their famous butter tarts, but the focaccia really stole the show for me! I came in on a Tuesday morning, right around when they opened at 9am. No one else was inside when I got there, but after I ordered and left I realized a line of 3-4 people had formed behind me! Seems like a popular place for sure.
I was hoping to sit down and try some of the stuff I got inside, but from what I could tell there was no (or very limited) indoor seating.
The service was wonderful, the focaccia was actually a recommendation from the staff and I'm so glad I tried it!
Potato and rosemary focaccia - my favourite! This thing was steaming and it smelt so good. I had it while warm, and the bread was so soft but also springy. The potatoes were seasoned well. It was much larger than I expected and there are a lot of potatoes, so I can see this being around 2-4 servings!
Butter tart - extremely sweet, exactly what you expect from a butter tart. However, the shell and sprinkle of flaky salt set it apart from other ones I've tried. I can see why everyone comes here for it, but this dessert itself is not my favourite. I had it fresh but bought extra to keep in the fridge. It reheats nicely in the air fryer.
Pear and brie galette - not super great. It didn't seem as fresh as the other two, the pastry was kind of dry and dense. Not a lot of pear flavour came through, and the brie was also flat and dry. I had it within an hour of purchase without reheating, maybe a few minutes in the oven would've made a difference.
