We used to be frequent visitors of Baan Gli Wang — it was our go-to stop before heading back to Bangkok. What kept us coming back was the warm, friendly service and consistently good food. Unfortunately, those days seem to be gone. On our recent visit, the atmosphere felt markedly different. The once-welcoming service has turned cold and indifferent, with unfriendly stares replacing smiles. Even more disappointing was the food. What used to be a reliable, enjoyable meal has become something we can no longer trust. We ordered the yellow curry with sea bass, only to find it undercooked and emitting an unpleasant smell — something that should never happen, especially with seafood. Service was also painfully slow, adding to the sense that standards have slipped across the board. It’s a real shame to see a once-favorite spot lose its charm and quality. I hope the team takes this feedback seriously and works to restore the place to what it once was.

Food and drinks are average of most restaurants. Friendly staffs. We were given seats in the outdoor, despite the fan, it's rather hot and stuffy. The worst part is it started to rain and we have to move to under shed below the building...what an experience, both the good and sad part

Beautiful and tranquil beach side spot in Hua Hin. Great selection of home made cakes and modern style Thai food. Highly recommended.

Overall, the food was quite average and nothing particularly stood out. There were fewer traditional Thai dishes than expected. As for the Khao Chae, it was not very impressive — the side dishes lacked flavor. The stuffed peppers with egg were bland and missing the shrimp paste ball that would have enhanced the taste. The only dish that tasted good was the Pansib (Fish-Stuffed Dumplings). Service was just ordinary, nothing remarkable. As for the atmosphere, we went during the day and were seated outside. It was quite hot and uncomfortable.

Delicious Mu Satay Juicy Exquisite Peanut sauce. Good quality Coconut cake and coconut shreds. Latte with Oatmilk was nice as well.

I visit this place every year, but yesterday was the first time I had the chance to sit in the glass house. Our family received excellent service from the friendly staff. The roti with chicken curry was as delicious as always, and the spaghetti bolognese didn’t disappoint. The Thai tea ice cream was absolutely delightful. Everyone there had a wonderful service mindset. We truly love this place.

The food here isn’t fresh. Most dishes seem to be pre-cooked, stored, and then reheated. This became clear when we asked for simple vegetable dishes, but were told they couldn’t be made because the dishes were already pre-prepared with chicken. At these prices, that approach just doesn’t work. Another issue was that several dishes were overly spicy, which took away from the experience. On top of that, while the staff were friendly, they got our order wrong multiple times, which left us with more dishes than we wanted. That said, the atmosphere is lovely. The seaside setting, with fans and shaded seating, makes it a very pleasant spot to relax. Coffee was very nice. They also allow dogs and they even bring water with ice which is very nice. With just two improvements, this place could be ideal: 1. Serve food fresh—avoid pre-cooking and reheating. 2. Provide better staff training to prevent order mistakes. Maybe the staff were just having a bad day but that said this was our experience.

Good food, friendly staff, great view, sea breeze, and pet friendly. We ordered a green curry and a pad Thai shrimp. It tasted very nice and tasty The cake was also unexpectedly great (lemon cheese cake) Beautiful place with a view over the sea. A very nice place to go for a dinner or lunch
