Baan Huenphen Boutique Hotel

Outstanding Service. Our Room was big, comfy and clean. Terrace right next to the Pool wich was also nice and clean. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We were there about one week during Songkran. The Staff told us everything we need to know and where to go. Huge thanks to everyone of the Staff! It was our third time staying in Chiang Mai and this was by far the best Service we had. We will definitely come back next time. Also i absolutely recommend the Restaurant on the third floor. Had some great Thaifood there. Thank you so much.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. The room was well furnished and had everything that I needed. The bed was very comfortable. Great location if you want to stay in the old town but also nice and quiet. Good breakfast selection which was included. The staff really make this place, they are so helpful and friendly.

We had a great 6-night stay at Baan Huenphen Boutique Hotel. The room is simple but with everything you’ll need. There are some minor signs of age but everything is super clean, with a balcony overlooking the inner courtyard / pool. Great location in the center of Old City. And best of all was the service - extremely kind and helpful staff. Once I realised at the airport that I forgot something at the hotel, the staff did everything they could to get it to me, really appreciate it and it definitely added to the already good experience of the stay!

It’s a beautiful place right in the heart of the center of Chiang Mai, but still quiet and peaceful. The breakfast is various and brings traditional options as well as eggs, fruits or delicious waffles. The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean and cozy with wooden interiors. We like it here very much and can definitely recommend this place.

Nice rooms, centralised location, quiet location, friendly & good service from the staff. Breakfast is more than adequate. Parking available for those with rental car. Lots of massage shops & restaurants within 10 mins walk. Will be back on our next trip to Chiang Mai.

I recently stayed at Baan Huen Phen Hotel, and overall, it was a pleasant experience with a few setbacks. The hotel’s location is fantastic, right in the heart of the old city, making it easy to explore Chiang Mai. Many great restaurants, cafes, and shops are within walking distance, which was super convenient.The hotel itself is quite charming, with pretty and traditional decor that gives it a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast was a highlight, offering a variety of delicious options that were freshly prepared each morning. The staff were also friendly and very helpful, always ready with recommendations or a smile.However, my stay in Room 205 had some notable downsides. Unfortunately, the bathroom had a persistent sewage odor, which was unpleasant. Additionally, the shower in Room 205 struggled to produce hot water, making for a less comfortable experience.Overall, Baan Huen Phen has a lot going for it, but I would recommend avoiding Room 205 until these issues are addressed. If they are, it could be a fantastic place to stay given its great location and friendly atmosphere.

Our month-long stay at this hotel is coming to a close. We'd planned to stay just a week so as to get a feel for the the city before moving on. However, the charm of this hotel, the staff and the location here in the old city won us over and we stayed on. While I respect that other guests have had issues with some aspect of their stay (I've had issues staying at the Waldorf Astoria in NYC), you'll see that the balance of the comments and ratings are overwhelmingly positive with high ratings. They are well deserved - you will enjoy your stay here at Baan Huen Phen.

Stayed 4 nights in October in a ground floor pool view room. Hotel is a bit dated. |Great staff, super breakfast (Khao Soi & cappuccino, Longan drink, Thai sweets). Room and bathroom were spacious but incredibly impressed by strong water pressure, I wish my shower at home was this good! Close to Sunday walking market. Loved staying here.
